이동통신용 광대역 패치 안테나 설계 (Design of Wide Band Antennas for Mobile Communications)

  • L-스트립 급전선에 의해서 급전되는 광대역 패치 안테나를 연구하였다. 본 논문의 목표는 3G와 4G 이동통신 서비스를 위한소형광대역안테나를설계하는데목표를두었다. 기존 유사 연구문헌에 보고 되었던 안테나와 본 논문의 제안된 안테나를 비교하여 개선된 효과를 입증하였다. L-스트립 급전의 삼각형 패치 안테나의 측정결과에서 636MHz(32.5%, fo=1,960MHz)의 임피던스 대역폭($VSWR{\leq}2$)이 3G와 4G 주파수 대역에서 얻어지는 것을 확인하였다. 일반적으로 Probe 급전방식의 경우 Probe에 의해서 기생 리액턴스가 야기되며 이로 인하여 안테나의 대역폭 특성을 저하시킨다. 측정결과를 통해서 제안된 안테나가 급전구조로부터 발생되는 기생 리액턴스를 보상할 수 있기 때문에 개선효과를 얻을 수 있었다는 것을 입증하였다. 연구된 안테나는 단순한 구조 때문에 어레이 확장이 쉽게 설계될 수 있다.

유헬스케어 패치형 무선 체온 모니터링 시스템 구현 (U-Healthcare Patch Type Wireless Body Temperature Monitoring System)

  • Recently, there have been many research on fever management using u-healthcare technology. Especially, fever of infants requires continuous monitoring of body temperature by parents. For infants between 4 weeks and under 5 years old, it is recommended to use an electronic thermometer or chemical thermometer in the axilla, or to use an infrared thermometer. However, in order to overcome the reality of not being able to waste significant time on continuous monitoring, there have been demands of patch type thermometers with the internet of things (IoT) and wireless communication technologies. Existing IoT thermometers are difficult to attach to infants' body because they do not take into account its size, and their interoperability is not guaranteed because they do not comply with standards in communication. Therefore, in this study, a patch-type thermometer with a diameter of 20 mm and a weight of 2.9 g was developed to manage the fever of infants, while it communicates wirelessly with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication protocol and complies with IEEE 11073 PHD(Personal Health Device) at the same time. We verified its performance under the requirements of thermometers regulated by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

비대칭 인셋 급전을 이용한 원형 편파 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나 설계 (Design of Circularly Polarized Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Asymmetric Inset Feeding)

  • 본 논문에서는 비대칭 인셋 급전 구조를 통해 원형 편파 특성을 갖는 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나를 구현하는 새로운 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 방법은 안테나 안으로 삽입되는 비대칭 인셋 슬롯의 길이 차이와 추가적으로 삽입되는 슬롯의 길이를 이용하여, 원형편파 특성을 갖는 안테나를 설계하는 방법이다. 이 접근 방식을 사용하여 두께 1 mm의 FR-4 유전체 기판을 활용하여 위성통신시스템을 위한 S-band 2.4 GHz에서 동작하는 안테나를 설계 및 제작하였다. 측정 결과 2dBi의 이득, 3dB 이하의 축비, 2.35~2.43 GHz에서-10dB 이하의 반사계수를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 제안한 방법을 사용하면, 인셋 급전을 이용한 원형 편파 안테나를 구현할 수 있으며, 소형 위성 통신 시스템 및 ISM 대역을 사용하는 다양한 무선 Iot 환경 서비스 응용 분야에 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • This paper presents the design of a novel small and wide band planar inverted F-antenna which simultaneously covers GSM900/GPS/DCS1800/DCS1900/DMB service. The proposed antenna consisting of a main patch with rectangular slit, strip 1 and strip 2, occupied the total volume of.$15\times36\times6mm^3$. A very wide impedance bandwidth characteristic was achieved by optimizing both the distance between the feed line and short strip and the length of rectangular slit on the main patch. The commercial electromagnetic software, CST Microwave Studio, is used to design the structure. The maximum gains at the frequencies of 900, 1575, 1800, 1900, and 2600 MHz were 2.07, 1.07, 1.69 and 0.55, -1.99 dBi, respectively. The overall shape of the radiation patterns is suitable for mobile communication application.

체온측정용 온도 센서 및 모니터링 텔레메트리 시스템 구현 (Development for body temperature sensor and monitoring telemetry system)

  • Typically, the vital signs that are representing the state of human body, are the body temperature, sphygmus, respiration and blood pressure. The body temperature is the result of metabolic regulation and human steady-state body temperature is maintained from 35.9 to $37.4^{\circ}C$ by heat regulatory center. The body temperature is indicative of infection and especially it should be monitored to requiring intensive care patients or after surgical patients. But, measuring of body temperature to a heavy workload on nursing staff has been recognized. And, the health service of nurse is limited by simple tasks such as the measurement and record of vital sign. In this paper, the body temperature monitoring telemetry system was proposed to prove the recoding and transmission of body temperature patch system according the standard(ISO TS11073-92001). We proposed the transmission protocol to suit the MFER(medical waveform format encoding rules). The telemetry patch system was implemented and it was verified by experiments.

메타구조 기반의 흡수체를 이용한 높은 격리도 특성의 WCDMA 댁내형 중계기 안테나 설계 (Design of WCDMA Indoor Repeater Antenna for High Isolation using the Absorber based on Metamaterial Structure)

  • 본 논문에서는 안테나 간 격리도 개선을 위해 메타구조 기반의 흡수체를 이용한 WCDMA 댁내형 중계기 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안된 안테나는 메타구조 흡수체가 배열된 메인패치와 대역폭을 위한 기생패치로 이루어져 있다. WCDMA 대역폭을 만족하기 위해 메인패치와 기생패치 사이의 커플링을 이용하였다. 메타구조 기반의 흡수체의 크기는 $13mm{\times}13mm$ 이며, 흡수율은 2.18 GHz 대역에서 약 94 % 의 특성을 갖고 있다. 송신 안테나와 수신 안테나 사이의 격리도는 메타구조 기반의 흡수체를 이용하여 개선하였다. 제안된 WCDMA 댁내형 중계기 안테나는 1.92 GHz부터 2.17 GHz 대역에서 6 dBi 이상의 안테나 이득과 2 이하의 VSWR 특성을 가지고 있으며, 송수신 안테나 사이의 격리도는 85 dB 이하의 특성을 나타내고 있다. 제안된 안테나의 크기는 $75mm{\times}75mm$ 이다.

Evaluation of Levels of Knowledge about Etiology and Symptoms of Oral Cancer in Southern Iran

  • Background: Knowledge regarding risk factors and primary signs of oral cancer in the general population can help them to avoid risky behaviour and seek timely advice from a physician. The aim of this study was to survey adult knowledge about risk factors and signs of oral cancer in Shiraz Dental University. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study using an investigator-made questionnaire, 783 adults who were referred to Shiraz Dental University participated. Questionnaire data were analyzed by ANOVA and T-test. Results: The results showed that 32.3% of participants were aware of oral cancer and gained their knowledge from the media. The risk factors mentioned by these participants was as follows: sunlight 30.8%, hot and peppery food 40.7%, alcoholic drinks 47.4% and smoking 73.6% (there was significant relationship for drinking alcohol and gender, education and times of using dental service, p<0.05). They also mentioned the primary signs of oral cancer as follows: red patch without pain 27.8%, white patch without pain 13.5% and prolong scarring without pain 56.7% (there was significant relationship between these three signs and education and times of using dental service, p<0.05). The mean knowledge about the risk factors and signs of oral cancer were 1.94 from 5 with 1.14 standard deviation and 0.96 from 3 with 0.93 standard deviation. Conclusions: The observed low level of knowledge of people regarding both risk factors and signs of oral cancer emphasizes the need for more efforts to be made about the above mentioned issues by the media.

온라인 게임 콘텐츠 업데이트의 효과에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Impact of Contents Updates in Online Games)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 시장에 출시된 온라인 게임의 운영과정에서 오류를 수정하고 게임성능을 제고하기 위해 제공하는 콘텐츠 업데이트 또는 패치서비스가 실질적으로 게이머의 플레잉 시간에 영향을 미치는지 여부를 계량적으로 분석해 보는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 온라인게임 개발회사가 게임콘텐츠와 관련하여 추가하는 콘텐츠 업데이트를 두 가지 유형으로 구분하여 업데이트 후 플레잉 시간에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는지 여부를 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 콘텐츠 업데이트 외에 추가적인 독립변수로 설정한 출시 후 경과시간은 플레잉 시간 변동에 음의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 나타났지만, 새로운 게이머들을 유인하고 기존 게이머들의 플레잉 시간을 증가시키기 위해 제공하는 콘텐츠 생성이나 조절은 플레잉 시간 증가에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과가 제시하는 게임 디자인 측면에서의 시사점을 결론으로 제시하였다.

섬유기반의 웨어러블 디바이스용 유연소재 및 플랫폼 개발동향 분석 -국내외 특허분석을 중심으로- (Analysis on the development trend of flexible materials and platforms for wearable devices based on fiber - Based on domestic & international patent data -)

  • The purpose of this study is to guide the research direction for securing the competitiveness of the textile industry by analyzing the trends of patent technology development for flexible materials and platform technologies of domestic and overseas textiles used for wearable devices. The study is based on patents from Korea (KIPO), USA (USPTO), Japan (JPO), Europe (EPO), PCT (WO), and China (SIPO), which were registered as of December 31, 2017. The analysis utilized 3,643 patents acquired from the WINTELIPS search DB. The technology classification system for patent analysis was divided into evangelist-based textile technology developments: human body (AA), fiber attachment patch development (AB), and service platform development (AC). The analysis findings are as follows: 1. The development of flexible materials and platform technologies for textile-based wearable devices has increased since 2000. In particular, China (SIPO) had the most patents. 2. In China, Japan, and Korea, most patent applicants are applied for by natives, but the US has a high proportion of foreigners applying for patents. 3. As for the amount of development of the evangelist-based textile technology (AA) was the most common with 1,203 (33%) cases. As a result of the above IP historical analysis, it can be seen that as a result of the global competition, domestic companies need to acquire IRP and standard technology, and promote commercialization by applying their products to smart wearables devices and other products.

한우에서 급성탄수화물 과식증에 의한 폐사 증례 (Acute carbohydrate engorgement in the Korean indigenous cattle, a case report)

  • This case occurred following accidental consumptions of toxic levels of feedstuffs in the Korean indigenous cattle which were pregnant for 3-6 months. Grossly, poorly defined bluish coloration in the ventral sac of the rumen, reticulum and omasum was visible on the surface of the stomach. The severely affected ruminal walls were perforated and blood-tinged exudate was observed and death followed due to acute diffuse peritonitis. There were copious amount of porridgelike rumen contents, which has a distinct fermentative odor. The epithelia were easily wiped off and hyperemic in patch. Histopathologically, chemical rumenitis with neutrophilic infiltration and opportunistic fungal infection was evident in the mucosa and submucosa. Multifocal necrotic foci with fungal hyphae on the liver and severe congestion on the renal medulla were noted. There was no evidence of heavy metal and aflatoxin Bl in the suspected feedstuffs. This case was diagnosed as acute carbohydate engorgement in cattle.
