MR 댐퍼를 사용한 드럼세탁기의 진동완화 (Vibration Attenuation of a Drum-Typed Washing Machine Using Magneto-Rheological Dampers)

  • Most washing machines are now produced as a drum-type, where a washing drum mounted on a suspension system with springs and dampers, to minimize the transmittance of the vibration from the drum to the frame. A low-cost MR damper, using magneto-rheological fluids, can produce variable damping forces by changing the current values in the magnetic coil. Experimental results show the comparison of the vibration attenuation performances between two different dampers. One test set-up uses a passive damper and another one uses a MR fluid damper. The test results showed that the vibration amplitude of the washing machine with the MR damper is much smaller than the case with the passive damper.

  • This paper presents a neural network-based adaptive controller for a single flexible-link. The control for feedback-error loaming of neural network is designed by using the re-definition approach. The neural network controllers are implemented on an single flexible-link experimental test-bed. The tip response is significantly improved and the vibrations of the flexible modes are damped very fast. Experimental and simulation results are presented of the proposed tip position tracking controllers over the conventional PD-type, passive controllers.

  • This report describes the design, fabrication and experimental results of an implantable micro pressure regulator. It consists of three silicon substrates, a glass substrate, and a PDMS layer. Silicon and glass substrates are fabricated by using bulk micro machining and sandblasting. The PDMS layer is used as a intermediate layer for Si-Si and Si-glass bonding processes. This micro regulator is a key component of the portable drug delivery systems for low power consumption. The device has some advantages, such as a passive type device, no power consumption, and simple structure.

  • The dependence of the corrosion potential on the stress corrosion cracking of 304 austenitic stainless steel was inspected by using the specimen of constant displacement type under the environment of 42% $MgCl_2$ boiled solution. The relationship of the corrosion potential to the intermittent propagation behaviour in stress corrosion cracking was cleared. As the results, a possible model of stress corrosion cracking of 304 austenitic stainless steel in $MgCl_2$ boiled solution was presented on the basis of the Film Rupture Model. This model is specified by the following process. Rupturing of passive film at notch tip .rarw. Dissolution of metal ion and formation of tunnel .rarw. Initiation of microcrack .rarw. Propagation of main crack .rarw. Recreation of passive film at new crack surface.

산업용 컨버팅 머신의 펜듈럼 덴서 모델링 및 해석 (Modeling and Analysis of a Pendulum Dancer in Industrial Converting Machines)

  • Dancer system is typically used equipment for attenuation of tension disturbances. In industrial converting machines, a composite type of dancer system is applied which is mixture of active and passive dancer. It includes feedback position control loop of roll with pendulum dancer and its characteristics is different from passive and active one. In this paper, a mathematical model of the pendulum dancer was derived including PI position feedback controller and it was analyzed by using a pole-zero map and bode plot under various conditions. It was found out that velocity, length of span and inertia were associated with the performance of regulation. It was suggested that the length of upstream span should be greater than that of the downstream and the inertia should be smaller for improvement of the performance. The results can be used for design guidelines of the industrial dancer system.

인터넷 게임동기 유형에 따른 대학적응과 인터넷 게임중독 (College Adaptation and Internet Game Addiction by Internet Game Motivation Types)

  • This study examined internet game addiction and college adaptation(academic, social, personal-emotional, institutional attachment) by Internet game motivation types. The 475 subjects (235 male and 240 female college students) responded to the newly developed self-report measure, Internet Game Motivation Scale (IGMS). Cluster analyses of IGMS data identified 5 types of Internet game motivation: Active I, Active II, Moderate I, Moderate II, Passive. Active (I, II) types had the highest scores in Internet game addiction while the Passive type yielded the lowest. Except for academic adaptation, all aspects of college adaptation varied as a function of Internet game motivation types. Overall, Moderate II showed highest whereas Active I showed lowest academic adaptation scores.

  • The passive type RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) System using Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) tag at 900 MHz in the range of more than 1 m was fabricated. To improve interrogation range of the system propose a method to increase isolation between transmitter and receiver. This method using a direct conversion architecture achieves a leakage rejection of 10 dB increased compared with conventional system. Measured interrogation range is more than 1 m.

  • In this study, we present a new topology for realizing a grounded inductor employing only a single current conveyor, called a negative-type modified inverting second-generation current conveyor (MICCII-), and a minimum number of passive components, two resistors, and one capacitor. The non-ideality effects of the MICCII- on a simulated inductor are investigated. To demonstrate the performance of the presented inductance simulator, we use it to construct a third order Butterworth high-pass filter and a parallel resonant circuit. Simulation results are given to confirm the theoretical analysis.

독소원성 대장균과 Clostridium perfringens A형이 생산하는 장독소의 검색을 위한 RPLA 법과 PCR기법의 감도 비교 (Comparison of Sensitivity of Detection for Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli Enterotoxin and Clostridium perfringens Type A Enterotoxin by Means of the Reversed Passive Latex Agglutination and the Polymerase Chain Reaction)

  • 독소원성 대장균(enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli, ETEC, EC81, serotype O148:H28)이 생산하는 heat labile enterotoxin(LT)를 검색해 본 결과, reversed passive latex agglutination(RPLA)법에 있어서는 2배로 희석한 용액 (50 ng)으로부터 64로 희석한 용액 (1.56 ng)에서까지 양성반응을 보였으며 polymerase chain reaction (PCR)기법에 있어서는 10 ng으로부터 1 pg희석용액에서까지 147-base pair(bp)의 LT DNA fragment가 확인되었다. Clostridium perfringens A형 (NCTC8238, Hobbs serotype 2)이 생산한는 장독소를 검색해 본 결과, RPLA법에 있어서는 2배로 희석한 용액 (50 ng)으로부터 64로 희석한 용액 (1.56 ng)에서 까지 양성반응을 보여 독소원성대장균이 생산하는 LT와 일치하였으나, PCR기법에 있어서는 10ng로부터 10 pg 희석용액에서 까지 354-bp의 DNA fragment가 확인되어 독소원성대장균이 생산하는 LT보다 1/10의 낮은 감도를 보였다. PCR기법은 RPLA법에 비하여 훨씬 신속하고 소량의 sample로 장독소를 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 순수한 수동소자들을 사용하여 영전류 영전압에서 소프트하게 스위칭 동작하는 펄스 폭 변조 의사 공진 컨버터를 소개한다. 사용된 수동 소자망은 폴딩 스너버망의 변형된 형태로 컨버터의 주 정류 다이오드의 역 복귀 전류를 제거시켜 주고 스위칭 소자 MOSFET를 소프트하게 스위칭 시킨다. 효율도 능동 스너버형과 비슷한 수준이고 회로 구성이 간단하여 구현하기 쉬우며 중 출력(수 KW이하) 정전압 공급원에 적합하다.
