Poisson processes are widely used in reliability and survival analysis. In particular, multiple event time data in survival analysis are routinely analyzed by use of Poisson processes. In this paper, we consider large sample properties of nonparametric Bayesian models for Poisson processes. We prove that the posterior distribution of the cumulative intensity function of Poisson processes is consistent under regularity conditions on priors which are Levy processes.

Contrary to the popular view that dative is idiosyncratic to verbs or particular theta roles, the distribution of dative is predictable from the distribution of other cases like nominative, accusative, instrumental, etc. That is, dative behaves like an unmarked or elsewhere choice for Non-Actor/Non-Patient (＝NANP) roles. This paper develops a theory of semantic structural case under the framework of conceptual semantics (Jackendoff 1983, 1990, 1997, 2002). In my proposed analysis, dative is structurally mapped onto NANP entities in the conceptual structure. Important consequences about other peripheral roles are discussed in section 5.

This study investigated the relationship of children's self-perceived competence and problem behavior by age and gentler. The subjects were 301 third and sixth grade children and their parents. Two-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation revealed significant correlations between children's self-perceived competence and their problem behavior. In particular, withdrawal behavior was related to all aspects of self-perceived competence, i.e. cognitive, social, and Physical competence, and global self-worth.

Diamond based electronic devices promise to exhibit unique properties. In order to realize devices diamond has to be doped to render it electrically conductive. In the present work the doping of diamond and of polycrystalline CVD diamond films are reviewd with particular emphasis to ion-implantation doping and to attempts to dope diamond by in-diffusion of the dopants. The quest for finding ways to obtain n-type conductivity in diamond will be critically examined.

Tuberculosis has re-emerged as serious infectious diseases, and oral tuberculosis, though uncommon, can be seen in both the primary and secondary tuberculosis. The aim of the present review is to describe the pathogenesis of tuberculosis and the characteristics of oral tuberculosis. The oral tuberculosis lesion may present as a diagnostic challenge for the clinician. In particular, the risk of tuberculosis transmission in dental practises is potentially increasing, the dentists and dental providers must exercise strict tuberculosis prevention.

Hydroxyapatite(HAp, Ca$\sub$10/(PO$_4$)$\sub$6/(OH)$_2$, is a compound with structural and chemical resemblance bone mineral and of particular importance in the field of biomaterials. In addition to the non-toxicity and high compatibility with hard and soft tissue, HAp exhibits strong affinity to host hard tissues and protein molecules. However, HAP is difficult to shape in the specific forms due to its hardness and brittleness. (omitted)

In this article modification of wool fibers and fabrics by pulse corona discharge and enzymes, in particular purified keratinase with a single component has been carried out to improve their surface properties. The shrinkproofing, tensile strength, weight loss, and the primary hand values calculated from the mechanical properties of the dual treated wool fabrics were investigated. In addition, the surface morphology of wool fiber was observed under the dry and wet conditions using an environmental SEM, ESEM.

In this paper, dynamic response analysis on the ground movement applied traffic load by 2D finite element procedure has been studied. The purpose of this experimental study was to investigate characteristics of Korean vowels uttered by Japanese speakers. Eight Korean Vowels were uttered three times by ten male Korean and Japanese, female Korean and Japanese, respectively. Formant Frequencies were measured from sound spectrograms made by the Pitch Works. Results showed that female Japanese speakers uttered Korean vowels more similar to those uttered by Korean native speakers than did male Japanese speakers.. In particular, male Japanese speakers have articulatory problems pronouncing the back vowels(/ㅓ/, /ㅡ/, /ㅜ/). It appears that the width of male speakers' articulatory movements is comparatively narrower than those of female speakers.
