Design of Fuzzy Model Based Controller for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems

  • This paper addresses analysis and design of a fuzzy model-based-controller for the control of uncertain SISO nonlinear systems. In the design procedure, we represent the nonlinear system by using a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model and construct a global fuzzy logic controller via parallel distributed compensation and sliding mode control. Unlike other parallel distributed controllers, this globally stable fuzzy controller is designed without finding a common positive definite matrix for a set of Lyapunov equations, and has good tracking performance. The stability analysis is conducted not for the fuzzy model but for the real underlying nonlinear system. Furthermore, the proposed method can be applied to partially known uncertain nonlinear systems. A numerical simulation is performed for the control of an inverted pendulum, to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed fuzzy control method.

HSS기반의 고속 LDPC 복호기 연구 (A Study on High Speed LDPC Decoder Based on HSS)

  • 본 논문에서는 DVB-S2 표준안에서 권고되고 있는 irregular LDPC 부호의 고속화 방안에 대한 연구를 하였다. LDPC 복호기에서는 많은 반복횟수와 많은 연산량이 복호 속도 저하의 원인이 되고 있으며, 성능 저하 없이 반복횟수와 연산량을 감소하기 위해서 HSS 기반의 LDPC 복호 구조를 제시하였다. 결과 반복횟수를 성능 저하 없이 절반으로 줄일 수 있으며, 이를 효율적인 설계방안을 제시하였다. 결과 600Mbps급의 throughput을 갖는 LDPC 복호기를 구현 가능케 하였다.

Exploiting Thread-Level Parallelism in Lockstep Execution by Partially Duplicating a Single Pipeline

  • In most parallel loops of embedded applications, every iteration executes the exact same sequence of instructions while manipulating different data. This fact motivates a new compiler-hardware orchestrated execution framework in which all parallel threads share one fetch unit and one decode unit but have their own execution, memory, and write-back units. This resource sharing enables parallel threads to execute in lockstep with minimal hardware extension and compiler support. Our proposed architecture, called multithreaded lockstep execution processor (MLEP), is a compromise between the single-instruction multiple-data (SIMD) and symmetric multithreading/chip multiprocessor (SMT/CMP) solutions. The proposed approach is more favorable than a typical SIMD execution in terms of degree of parallelism, range of applicability, and code generation, and can save more power and chip area than the SMT/CMP approach without significant performance degradation. For the architecture verification, we extend a commercial 32-bit embedded core AE32000C and synthesize it on Xilinx FPGA. Compared to the original architecture, our approach is 13.5% faster with a 2-way MLEP and 33.7% faster with a 4-way MLEP in EEMBC benchmarks which are automatically parallelized by the Intel compiler.

Strain gauge를 사용한 임플랜트 인상법의 정확도 비교 (A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE ACCURACY OF IMPLANT IMPRESSION TECHNIQUES BY USING STRAIN GAUGE)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of 3 implant impression methods by using strain gauge. The models used for this study were partially edentulous mandibular acrylic resin casts Model A, with two abutment analogs in #46,47 extraction site, represented two implant parallel to to the adjacent natural tooth. Model B represent an anterior implant parallel to the adjacene natural tooth and a posterior implant exhibiting a 15-degree lingual inclination. Master framework were fabricated on the master model, and 3 strain gauges were attached to a master framwork to determine the passivity of fit of the framework to sample casts made by the three impression techniques. The master framework was attached to each sample cast with gold screws, which were tightened with the torque driver to ensure a consistent toque application of 10 Ncm. Universal Digital Measuring System UCAM-5BT was used for strain measuring. Impression techniques studid were : 1. unsplinted tapered impression coping, polyvinyl siloxane, stock tray 2. unsplinted squared impression coping, polyether, custom tray 3. squared impression coping splinted with Duralay resin, polyether, custom tray Through analysis on data from this study, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. There were no statistically significant differences between the mean strain recorded from the sample casts made with the tree impression. But only strain values of model A(parallel group) Y-axis was signifcantly differed between Technique 1 and 3(P<0.05). 2. There was no statistically significant difference between model A(parallel group) and model B(15-degree divergent group).

최적정규기저를 갖는 유한체위에서의 저 복잡도 비트-병렬 곱셈기 (A Low Complexity Bit-Parallel Multiplier over Finite Fields with ONBs)

  • 유한체의 H/W 구현에는 정규기저를 사용하는 것이 효과적이며, 특히 최적 정규기저를 갖는 유한체의 H/W 구현이 가장 효율적이다. 타입 I 최적 정규기저를 갖는 유한체 $GF(2^m)$은 m 이 짝수이기 때문에 어떤 암호계에는 응용되지 못하는 단점이 있다. 그러나 타입 II 최적 정규기저를 갖는 유한체의 경우는 NIST에서 제안한 ECDSA 의 권장 커브가 주어진 $GF(2^{233})$이 타입 II 최적 정규 기저를 갖는 등 여러 응용분야에 적용 되므로, 이에 대한 효율적인 구현에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 타입 II 최적 정규기저를 갖는 유한체 $GF(2^m)$의 연산을 정규기저를 이용하여 표현하여 확대체 $GF(2^{2m})$의 원소로 표현하여 연산을 하는 새로운 비트-병렬 곱셈기를 제안하였으며, 기존의 가장 효율적인 곱셈기들보다 블록 구성방법이 용이하며, XOR gate 수가 적은 저 복잡도 곱셈기이다.

  • Experiments are performed to consider the ground effects on unsteady loading and acoustic generation. Partially inclined plate is used to maximize the unsteadiness of the rotor. Indirect method to recognize the unsteady effect is used by measuring the noise in the normal direction from the rotor plane. The experiment is conducted with a square plate of about $9m^2$ and one half of the plate is placed parallel with the rotor plane and the other half is inclined. The height of the plate and the angle of the inclined plate can be changed. Helicopter noise is also measured at the 4 different positions to study the directivity of the rotor noise. The distance between microphone and rotor hub is 1.3m. Tonal noise and broad band noise are measured and analyzed. Thickness noise, steady loading noise and unsteady loading noise are investigated from the rotor noise measurement.

Improved Global Maximum Power Point Tracking Method Based on Voltage Interval for PV Array under Partially Shaded Conditions

  • The power-voltage (P-V) curve of photovoltaic (PV) arrays connected in parallel to bypass diodes would have several local maximum power points (LMPP) under partial shading conditions (PSC). Conventional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods fail to search for the global maximum power point (MPP) because the searched peak point may remain at the LMPP on the P-V curve under PSC. This study proposes an improved MPPT algorithm to ensure that PV arrays operate at global maximum power point (GMPP) under PSC. The proposed algorithm is based on a critical study and a series of observations of PV characteristics under PSC. Results show the regularity of voltage interval between LMPPs. The algorithm has the advantages of rapidly reaching GMPP, maintaining stability, and recovering GMPP quickly when the operating condition changes. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

병렬형 칼만 필터를 사용한 영구 자석 동기 전동기의 센서리스 제어 (PMSM Sensorless Control using Parallel Reduced-Order Extended Kalman Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 병렬형 칼만 필터를 사용한 영구 자석 동기 전동기의 새로운 센서리스 제어 기법이 제안되었다. 제안된 기법은 기존의 확장형 칼만 필터(EKF)와는 달리 reduced-order EKF를 이용한 역기전력 추정 알고리즘을 통해 회전자 위치와 속도를 추정할 수 있고, 각각의 샘플링 시간마다 서로 다른 EKF를 실행하는 병렬형 구조를 사용함으로써 연산시간을 월등히 줄일 수 있다. 따라서 제안된 기법은 기존 EKF의 장점은 그대로 유지하며 단점으로 지적되었던 긴 연산시간 문제를 극복하고 쇄교 자속 값에 민감한 부분도 부분적으로 해결할 수 있다. 또한 운전 영역에 따라 그 형태를 달리함으로써 회전자 속도 및 위치를 안정적으로 추정할 수 있다. 제안된 기법은 실험 결과를 통하여 그 타당성이 검증되었고, 기존 EKF와의 연산 시간 비교를 통하여 우수성이 확인되었다.

치과 임플랜트용 고정체 인상법과 지대원주 인상법간의 정확성 비교 (A COMPARISON OF ACCURACY BETWEEN FIXTURE IMPRESSION AND ABUTMENT IMPRESSION FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the accuracy between future impression and abutment impression using strain gauges. The master model used in this study was a partially edentulous mandibular metal cast with two fixture analogs on both sides. On the left, two future analogs were parallel, whereas right side, posterior future analog exhibiting a 15-degree lingual inclination. From master cast, 10 impressions were made for each of the three impression methods. The master frameworks was fabricated on the master model, and two-element strain gauge was attached to a master framework. The master framework was seated on each cast, and gold screws were tightened to 10 Ncm using a torque controller AI-1600 strain measurement system was used for strain measuring. Impression methods studied were : Group 1:abutment impression Group 2:fixture impression Group 3:combined impression (anterior:fixture impression, posterior:abutment impression) The results were as followed. 1. The strain values on X-axis and Y-axis according to the three impression methods showed no significant difference. 2. The strain values on parallel and angulated groups according to the three impression methods showed no significant difference. 3. The parallel group exhibited significantly higher accuracy in adaptation than angulated group for all experimental groups (p<0.05). In conclusion, it is considered that accuracy of implant prostheses is more affected by implant angulation than impression methods.

병렬형 저감 차수 칼만 필터를 이용한 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 센서리스 제어 (Sensorless Control Strategy of IPMSM Based on a Parallel Reduced-Order Extended Kalman Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기(IPMSM)의 확장형 역기전력(EEMF) 모델을 이용한 저감차수 병렬형 확장형 칼만 필터(EKF)를 이용한 센서리스 제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 센서리스 제어 기법은 간단한 수학적 구조로 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기 구동에 적합한 확장형 역기전력 모델을 이용하여 두 개의 저감 차수 형태로 표현하였다. 이러한 두 모델은 매 샘플링 시간마다 확장형 칼만 필터에 번갈아 연산된다. 행렬의 차수를 저감하여 EKF의 연산시간의 단축과 알고리즘 구현의 부담을 줄였으며 센서리스 제어의 안정적인 상태 벡터의 추정을 위해 병렬로 구동하는 두 모델에 의해 추정된 정보를 이용하였다. 제안된 기법은 실험 결과를 통하여 안정적인 위치 추정 및 속도 추정 성능을 검증 하였으며, 전 차수 EKF와의 연산 시간 비교를 통하여 우수성을 검증하였다.
