Preparation of High $J_c$ YBCO Films on LAO by Spray Pyrolysis Process Using Nitrate Precursors (질산염 무기금속 화합물의 분무열분해법에 의한 High-$J_c$ YBCO 박막 제조)

  • High $J_c$ over 1 $MA/cm^2$ YBCO film has been successfully prepared using nitrate precursors by spray pyrolysis method. Aerosol drolpets generated using a concentric spray nozzle were directly sprayed on a $LaAlO_3$(100) single crystal substrate. The cation ratio of precursor solution was Y:Ba:Cu=1:2.65:1.35. The distance between nozzle and substrate was 15 cm. Deposition temperature was ranging from $750^{\circ}C\;to\;800^{\circ}C$. Deposition pressure was 100 Torr, and oxygen partial pressure was varied from 10 Torr to 50 Torr. The microstructure, phase formation, texture development and superconducting properties of deposited films were largely changed with oxygen partial pressure. Deposited films showed a texture with(001) planes parallel to substrate plane. High quality film was obtained when film was deposited at $760^{\circ}C$ with an oxygen partial pressure of 30 Torr. The critical current density($J_c$) of the YBCO film was 1.75 $MA/cm^2$ at 77 K and self-field.

  • Implant assisted removable partial denture (IARPD) has been practiced in various forms for a long time, and among them, implant surveyed crown RPD is gaining predictability as well as being considered as a treatment option for patients with anatomical and financial disadvantages. The position of implant could be divided as posterior placement or anterior placement according to the purpose of the treatment and should be planned in consider to the alveolar ridge of patient, anticipated prognosis of remaining teeth, and opposing dentition. This case report describes a treatment for mandibular Kennedy class I partial edentulous patient with two implant-supported surveyed crown and implant assisted removable partial denture. Given the difficulty of posterior placement in this patient and the prognosis of the residual teeth, the plan was to place two implants in close proximity to the residual teeth, which were placed in the planned position, angle, and depth using guided surgery. The process of fabricating the fixed prosthesis was carried out in parallel with the maxillary edentulous tooth arrangement process to increase predictability, and when fabricating the localized tooth, the implant was designed in a form that allows the patient to perform functional movements by preventing excessive loading as the last supporting tooth, and was fabricated through a secondary impression process. Each treatment procedure was proceeded as planned, with aesthetically and functionally satisfactory results for both patient and operator.

  • Heating and hot water supply energy consumption of medium and multi boiler systems applied to military officer housing are compared with in-situ experiment and TRNSYS dynamic simulation program. In a multiple boiler system, small capacity boilers are connected in parallel to meet the required capacity. For handling partial loads, medium capacity boiler relies on on-off control, while multi boiler adopts PI control. Since multi boiler has higher efficiency and better control strategy, the results show that energy consumption can be reduced significantly with the multi boiler system.

A Low Power Dual CDS for a Column-Parallel CMOS Image Sensor

  • In this paper, a $320{\times}240$ pixel, 80 frame/s CMOS image sensor with a low power dual correlated double sampling (CDS) scheme is presented. A novel 8-bit hold-and-go counter in each column is proposed to obtain 10-bit resolution. Furthermore, dual CDS and a configurable counter scheme are also discussed to realize efficient power reduction. With these techniques, the digital counter consumes at least 43% and at most 61% less power compared with the column-counters type, and the frame rate is approximately 40% faster than the double memory type due to a partial pipeline structure without additional memories. The prototype sensor was fabricated in a Samsung $0.13{\mu}m$ 1P4M CMOS process and used a 4T APS with a pixel pitch of $2.25{\mu}m$. The measured column fixed pattern noise (FPN) is 0.10 LSB.

  • Sandwich shells made of composite materials are the main focus on recent literature parallel to the requirements of industry. They are commonly chosen for the modern engineering applications which require moderate strength to weight ratio without dependence on conventional manufacturing techniques. The investigations on hyperbolic paraboloidal formed sandwich composite shells are limited in the literature contrary to shells that have a number of studies, consisting of doubly curved surfaces, arbitrary boundaries and laminations. Because of the lack of contributive data in the literature, the aim of this study is to present the effects of curvature on hyperbolic paraboloidal formed, layered sandwich composite surfaces that have arbitrary boundary conditions. Analytical solution methodology for the analyses of stresses and deformations is based on Third Order Shear Deformation Theory (TSDT). Double Fourier series, which are specialized for boundary discontinuity, are used to solve highly coupled linear partial differential equations. Numerical solutions showing the effects of shell geometry are presented to provide benchmark results.

  • The techniques of internally generating waves on a curve in a rectangular grid system are developed using the line source method. Numerical experiments are conducted using the extended mild-slope equations of Suh et al. (1997). For five different types of wave generation layout, numerical experiments are conducted in the cases of the propagation of waves on a flat bottom, and the refraction and shoaling of waves on a plane slope. The fifth type of wave generation, which consists of two parallel lines connected to a semicircle, shows the best solutions especially when the grid size is small enough.

다단계-병렬 흐름 생산시스템하에서의 제품별 로트 투입순서 결정

  • 본 연구에서는 다품종(multiple products) 다단계(multi-stage) 흐름 생산시스템에서의 제품별 로트 투입순서결정무제를 다루었다. 다단계 흐름 생산시스템의 투입순서 결정문제에 대한 기존연구는 각 단계의 기계대수가 1대인 경우에 관한 것이 대부분이지만, 본 연구에서는 각 단계의 기계대수가 복수이고 각 제품의 생산량이 로트로 주어지며, 또한 각 단계마다의 이송이 로트로 이루어지는 것이 아니라 1단위로 이루어지는 생산시스템을 대상으로 하였다. 그리고 각 제품의 생산준비기간은 투입순서와 관계 없이 일정하며 앞 단계에서 제품이 도착하지 않더라도 생산준비는 먼저 수행될 수 있다고 가정하였다. 제품별 로트 투입순서 결정문제에서 사용된 성능평가기준(performance measure)은 총작업소요시간(makespan)이며 순열투입순서(permutation schedule)만을 대상으로 하였다. 결정기법으로는 투입순서 결정문제에서 효율적인 것으로 알려져 있는 분지한계법(Branch & Bound)이 사용되었으며 분지한계법에서 이용되는 부분투입순서(partial sequence)에 대한 하한값(lower bound)을 제시하였다. 제시된 기법을 사용하면 현실적인 크기의 제품별 로트 투입순서 결정문제를 적당한 시간내에 충분히 해결할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 제시된 해법으로 해결된 수치예제가 주어져 있다.

  • Online parallel machine scheduling problems have been studied by many researchers and enormous results are appeared in the last 40 years. With the development of scheduling theory and application, new online scheduling problems where the partial information is known in advance, that is, semi-online, gained much interest due to their increased application in practice. So we consider the online scheduling of three machines with general eligibility and its semi-online variant where the total processing time is known in advance. For the online and semi-online problems, we develop algorithms with competitive ratio of 5/2 which are shown to be optimal.

  • This paper deals with multi-objective optimization problem of finding a set of well-distributed solutions close to the true Pareto optimal solutions. In this paper, we present a two-leveled symbiotic evolutionary algorithm to efficiently solve the problem. Most of the existing multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs) operate one population that consists of individuals representing the complete solution to the problem. The proposed algorithm maintains several populations, each of which represents a partial solution to the entire problem, and has a structure with two levels. The parallel search and the structure are intended to improve the capability of searching diverse and good solutions. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with those of the existing algorithms in terms of convergence and diversity. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • We introduce and analyze a frequency-domain method for parabolic partial differential equations. The method is naturally parallelizable. After taking the Fourier transformation of given equations in the space-time domain into the space-frequency domain, we propose to solve an indefinite, complex elliptic problem for each frequency. Fourier inversion will then recover the solution in the space-time domain. Existence and uniqueness as well as error estimates are given. Fourier invertibility is also examined. Numerical experiments are presented.
