Signal Value of Partial Song (Composed of 1 Phrase Unit) in Great Tits, Parus major: Evidence from Playback Experiments (박새(Parus major)의 Partial Song(1 phrase)의 신호적 가치)

  • Playback experiments were excecuted with seven threat Tit males inhabited in Gsngnae Myeon, Darak Ri, Chungbuk province to investigate the signal value of partial song (one unit phrase composed of two notes) as a species recognition releaser. Territorial males responded strongly to their own natural, synthetic and partial songs played in the field. However, thew showed weak or no responses to the playback songs of other species: Coal Tit (Porus ate4 and Yellow-throated Bunting (EmberiEa elegansl.6reat Tits distinguished conspecific partial songs readily from songs of other species. The results demonstrated that one unit phrase which is a basic arrangement of the Great Tit song, containes information on species recognition.

The partial discharge and breakdown phenomena due to metallic particle in $SF_6$ gas chamber ($SF_6$ 가스챔버내 금속이물에 대한 부분방전 및 절연파괴 현상)

  • This paper describes the partial discharge due to particles in $SF_6$ gas. A model GIS chamber was designed and manufactured. The partial discharge and breakdown phenomena due to the particles between electrodes were observed and partial discharge signals were detected, using an ultrasonic sensor. The analysis of the electric field by the states of the particle inserted between the electrodes, were also carried out. The partial discharge was observed at end while the particle was moving in $SF_6$ gas. The partial discharge in micro-gap grows to arc, and after all, it can cause a breakdown.The electric field strength was the highest in case that the particle was vertically attached on the conductor, and the lowest in case that it was horizontally attached on the enclosure.

  • Measured and calculated the TMR and SMR factors from percent depth dose underpartial attenuators which cover the whole part of the radiation beam with variousfilter thickness from 0 to 50 mm. This study was performed for x-ray beams generated with a 6 MV linear acceleratorat source to surface distance of 100cm in a water phantom for Lipowitz metal. TMR(0,d,t) was derived from non-linear polynomial regression with field sizedifferencies and a given filter thickness. In this experiments, the TMR(0,10,50) of 50mm of filter thickness was showed13.6 % higher than that of open field and SMR(5,10,50) was 38.5% smaller than thatof open field in same depth.

  • This paper was studied electromagnetic field distribution and damping of PD(Partial Discharge) signal in GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear). Cut-off frequency of electromagnetic wave propagation modes were computed, electromagnetic field distribution of propagation modes in GIS by FEM(Finite Element Method) were simulated and simulated damping characteristic of electromagnetic waves in GIS by EMTP(Electromagnetic Transient Program) when generated PD pulse. Frequency band of $TE_{mn}/TM_{mn}$ modes were determinated by simulation results of electromagnetic field distribution and were discussed optimal position of UHF sensor from this results. Equivalent circuit was used to simulate signal damping of PD pulse in GIS by EMTP and compared with measured results in laboratory of KERI.

  • We develop an invariant local theory of Lorentz surfaces in pseudo-Euclidean 4-space by use of a linear map of Weingarten type. We find a geometrically determined moving frame field at each point of the surface and obtain a system of geometric functions. We prove a fundamental existence and uniqueness theorem in terms of these functions. On any Lorentz surface with parallel normalized mean curvature vector field we introduce special geometric (canonical) parameters and prove that any such surface is determined up to a rigid motion by three invariant functions satisfying three natural partial differential equations. In this way we minimize the number of functions and the number of partial differential equations determining the surface, which solves the Lund-Regge problem for this class of surfaces.

A Study on Three Phase Partial Discharge Pattern Classification with the Aid of Optimized Polynomial Radial Basis Function Neural Networks (최적화된 pRBF 뉴럴 네트워크에 이용한 삼상 부분방전 패턴분류에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose the pattern classifier of Radial Basis Function Neural Networks(RBFNNs) for diagnosis of 3-phase partial discharge. Conventional methods map the partial discharge/noise data on 3-PARD map, and decide whether the partial discharge occurs or not from 3-phase or neutral point. However, it is decided based on his own subjective knowledge of skilled experter. In order to solve these problems, the mapping of data as well as the classification of phases are considered by using the general 3-PARD map and PA method, and the identification of phases occurring partial discharge/noise discharge is done. In the sequel, the type of partial discharge occurring on arbitrary random phase is classified and identified by fuzzy clustering-based polynomial Radial Basis Function Neural Networks(RBFNN) classifier. And by identifying the learning rate, momentum coefficient, and fuzzification coefficient of FCM fuzzy clustering with the aid of PSO algorithm, the RBFNN classifier is optimized. The virtual simulated data and the experimental data acquired from practical field are used for performance estimation of 3-phase partial discharge pattern classifier.

Analysis and Approximation of Linear feedback control problems for the Boussinesq equations

  • In this work we consider the mathematical formulation and numerical resolution of the linear feedback control problem for Boussinesq equations. The controlled Boussinesq equations is given by $$\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}t}-{\nu}{\Delta}u+(u{\cdot}{\nabla}u+{\nabla}p={\beta}{\theta}g+f+F\;\;in\;(0,\;T){\times}\;{\Omega}$$, $${\nabla}{\cdot}u=0\;\;in\;(0,\;T){\times}{\Omega}$$, $$u|_{{\partial}{\Omega}=0,\;u(0,x)=\;u_0(x)$$ $$\frac{{\partial}{\theta}}{{\partial}t}-k{\Delta}{\theta}+(u{\cdot}){\theta}={\tau}+T,\;\;in(0,\;T){\times}{\Omega}$$ $${\theta}|_{{\partial}{\Omega}=0,\;\;{\theta}(0,X)={\theta}_0(X)$$, where $\Omega$ is a bounded open set in $R^{n}$, n=2 or 3 with a $C^{\infty}$ boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$. The control is achieved by means of a linear feedback law relating the body forces to the velocity and temperature field, i.e., $$f=-{\gamma}_1(u-U),\;\;{\tau}=-{\gamma}_2({\theta}-{\Theta}}$$ where (U,$\Theta$) are target velocity and temperature. We show that the unsteady solutions to Boussinesq equations are stabilizable by internal controllers with exponential decaying property. In order to compute (approximations to) solution, semi discrete-in-time and full space-time discrete approximations are also studied. We prove that the difference between the solution of the discrete problem and the target solution decay to zero exponentially for sufficiently small time step.

  • The $Nd_{1+x}Ba_{2-x}Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$(Nd123) superconductor exhibits high performance in high magnetic field and high temperature. We have studied phase stability for Nd123 under reduced oxygen partial pressure and various heat-treatment conditions. The main phase is Nd123 and some samples contain small amounts of Nd422 depending on the temperature and oxygen partial pressure. The decomposition temperature decreases with decreasing oxygen partial pressure from $1052^{\circ}C(P(O_2)$=150 Torr) to about $845^{\circ}C(P(O_2)$=0.1 Torr). The liquidus line was steeper temperature with decreasing oxygen partial pressure. In same condition of oxygen partial pressure, the region of stable Nd123 phase was formed at slightly higher temperature than the region of stable YBCO phase.

  • The electrical characteristics of 3 year field-aged polymer insulators which dismounted from five regions were investigated. There was a little difference in PD inception voltage depending on the manufacturers and the regions. The results between PD and SD showed a close relation. There were no significant changes in electrical properties. So, it can be considered that the field-aged insulators are sound for the present.

A New Charge Analysis Derived From the Results of Semi-Emprical Mo-Lcao Calculation

  • In this study we present a new approach for computing the partial atomic charge derived from the wavefunctions of molecules. This charge, which we call the "y_charge", was calculated by taking into account the energy level and orbital populations in each molecular orbital (MO). The charge calculations were performed in the software, which was developed by us, developed using the C# programming language. Partial atomic charges cannot be calculated directly from quantum mechanics. According to a partitioning function, the electron density of constituent molecular atoms depends on the electrostatic attraction field of the nucleus. Taking into account the Boltzmann population of each MO as a function of its energy and temperature we obtain a formula of partial charges.
