이중의제접근을 통한 가족친화경영 (A Theoretical Study on Family-Friendly Management - Dual Agenda Approach -)

  • The purpose of this study is to review previous domestic and foreign studies and to investigate personal work-life harmonization through theoretical research on familyfriendly management using a dual agenda approach. The authors briefly identified trends and critically reviewed domestic researches on family-friendly management and foreign studies of scholars that overcame the limitations of domestic studies to present a foundation for work-life harmonization through a dual agenda approach. As a result, the existing family-friendly management was found to be compatible with work and family but was not effective in developing personal careers. The workers who actively accepted family-friendly management as part of their work-life balance were mostly female laborers who were employed part-time, had lower academic education, earned lower wages and, in general, were non-professional workers without specific skills or career aspirations. The remainder of the workers, full-time male employees, with higher education and with professional knowledge and skills, inevitably worked longer, more labor-intensive hours, due to the advent of the dual agenda approach. A new work-life harmonization program is urgently needed not only for family-friendliness but also for healthy organizations, individual career development and personal wellbeing.

Time Use Analysis of Married Paid Workers by Employment Types

  • Purpose - This study aims to analyze time use of employees to see how they make a balance between work and family. We tried to analyze time use and time pressure of married paid workers in order to understand their work and family balance. Methodology - Time use was compared by employment types and time pressure groups. We analyzed the factors influencing time pressure, dividing two employment types. The data were selected from the 2009 Korean Time Use Survey. Results - Those who feel time pressure among full-timers spent more time on work and housework and less time on personal care and leisure than those who do not feel time pressure. Logit analysis on time pressure showed that full-timers feel more time pressure than part-timers do. Gender, age, education, income, day-off type, and the presence of preschool children were significant variables on time pressure. Conclusion - These results imply that time use and time pressure for married paid workers are affected by employment types. Flexibility of labor needs to enhance work and family balance for females who have preschool children.

  • A gasket is known as an important component for mechanical sealing between mating surfaces. In case of the refrigerator, a gasket is generally installed into the edge line of a door to prevent cold air leaking out from the inside of a cabinet. The gasket shape used in a refrigerator is very complicated; it has a few deformable small rooms and wings (upper part) and inserting part (lower part) into the door. By the intricate shape, it takes much time and trouble on analysis by using a full-shape model. To settle down this problem, an effective design way of a gasket is proposed in this work. The inserting part is parametrically designed using FEM without considering the complicate upper part, Through this work, computational time and efforts are much reduced comparing to the full-shape analysis method. And the performance of a newly designed gasket was evaluated qualitatively.

전문대학생의 아르바이트 경험과 사회적 지지, 자아탄력성이 진로스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The effect of Part-time job experience, Social Support, and Ego-Resilience on Career Stress in College students)

  • 전문대학생들의 진로스트레스는 최근 취업의 어려움과 더불어 더욱 심각하게 나타나는 문제로 다양한 관리가 필요하다. 이러한 진로스트레스 관리 방안을 고려해보고자 본 연구에서는 전문대학생들의 아르바이트 경험 유무, 자아탄력성, 사회적 지지가 진로스트레스에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전문대학생 457명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 다중회귀분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과는 첫째 아르바이트 경험 유무에 따른 자아탄력성, 사회적 지지, 진로스트레스에 차이는 없었다. 다만 진로스트레스의 하위영역 중 고용압력은 아르바이트 경험이 있는 대학생들이 아르바이트 경험이 없는 대학생에 비해 높았다. 둘째, 아르바이트 경험 유무는 진로스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 아르바이트 경험이 없는 대학생이 아르바이트 경험이 있는 대학생에 비해 진로스트레스가 높게 나타났다. 셋째 사회적 지지가 진로스트레스에 미치는 효과는 아르바이트 경험이 있는 대학생에 비해 아르바이트 경험이 없는 대학생에게 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째 자아탄력성은 진로스트레스에 미치는 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 다만 아르바이트 경험 유무와 성별 간에는 상호작용효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 기초하여 진로스트레스를 감소시키기 위해서는 아르바이트 경험이 없는 대학생에게는 사회적 지지를 통한 상담관리방안과 여학생에게는 자아탄력성을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 제안한다.

고정밀 레이저 스크라이버 장비의 공정 시뮬레이션 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Process Simulation Analysis of the High Precision Laser Scriber)

  • The high-precision laser scriber carries out scribing alumina ceramic substrates for manufacturing ultra-small chip resistors. The ceramic substrates are loaded, aligned, scribed, transferred, and unloaded. The entire process is fully automated, thereby minimizing the scribing cycle time of the ceramic substrates and improving the throughput. The scriber consists of the laser optical system, pick-up module of ceramic substrates, pre-alignment module, TH axis drive work table, automation module for substrate loading / unloading, and high-speed scribing control S/W. The loader / unloader unit, which has the greatest influence on the scribing cycle time of the substrates, carries the substrates to the work table that carries out the cutting line work by driving the X and Y axes as well as by adsorbing the ceramic substrates. The loader / unloader unit consists of the magazine up / down part, X-axis drive part for conveying the substrates to the left and right direction, and the vision part for detecting the edge of the substrate for the primary pre-alignment of the substrates. In this paper, the laser scribing machining simulation is performed by applying the instrument mechanism of each component module. Through this study, the scribing machining process is first verified by analyzing the process operation and work area of each module in advance. In addition, the scribing machining process is optimized by comparing and analyzing the scribing cycle time of one ceramic substrate according to the alignment stage module speed.

한국의 노동시간 계층화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Working-Time Stratification in Korea)

  • 이 글은 노동시간의 소득계층별 차이와 분포 및 추이를 드러내고 정책적 함의를 도출한다. 노동시간을 주변적시간제, 시간제, 표준노동시간, 장시간으로 구분하고 소득분위별 상대분포를 비교한 결과, 소득 하위 20%는 주변적시간제 내지 시간제일자리에, 소득 2분위에서 4분위까지 60% 가량이 장시간 노동에, 상위 20%는 표준시간노동에 종사하였다. 한국의 노동시간은 단시간-저소득의 유형I, 장시간-중위소득의 유형II, 표준시간-고소득의 유형III으로 계층화된다. 노동시간 유형에 대한 패널 다항로짓 분석결과 월평균 임금을 기준으로 저임금-단시간, 중위임금-장시간, 고임금-표준시간의 유형이, 시간당 임금을 기준으로 저임금-초장시간, 중위임금-장시간, 고임금-표준시간 유형이 확인되었다. 시간당임금 및 월임금, 비정규직 비율, 직업군, 연령대를 중심으로 노동시간의 계층화가 심화되었다. 소득 하위 20%에 대해서는 최저임금 인상, 중위소득 60%를 포함한 다수의 노동자에 대해서는 노동시간 단축을 통한 고용창출이 유효한 전략이 될 수 있다.

  • Since many small and medium sized enterprises have lack of funds to install the full scale Computer Aided Process Planning this study has been attempted to develop a part of computer generated production information system for a start. The system is programmed by DBASE III and BASIC languages for the IBM-PC competables for the sake of user's convenience. The system consisted of four major parts. The first part is a computerized work measurement system for applying WF predetermined time standards. The second part is a computerized forecasting and loading system for applying various statistical techniques. The third part is a GT scheduling system programmed by BASIC for applying heuristic scheduling method. Finally, the last part is a simulation system for GT scheduling efficiency test which is programmed by SIMAN simulation language.

Design of a Method for Disassembly Works on Recycle Products

  • This study proposes a new framework for designing disassembly methods. In recent years, environmental problems have become global issues. Recycling of used products or resources is recognized as a matter of significance since it may help reduce the risk of exhausting natural resources. Considering possible exhaustion of limited natural resources in the near future, reuse of products would gain more environmental significance. As yet, it relies hugely on manual disassembly, which labor cost places burden on the total recycling cost. The purpose of this study is to propose a methodology designing for manual disassembly works, and a creation method of a jig. By focusing on parts' connection and attachment relationship, parts are categorized in 5 categories (parent part, joint key part, attaching key part, child part, and independent part) according to the features that parts possess, and 3 kinds of connection relationships (parent part-joint key part connection, parent part-independent part connection and child part-child part connection) are clarified. Connection relationship and attachment relationship charts have also been created, and utilizing them, disassembly orders are settled, and a disassembly jig is devised. The proposed methodology is also applied to a real product and its work time is improved 42% form 31 to 13 seconds.

Improving the Workplace Experience of Caregiver-Employees: A Time-Series Analysis of a Workplace Intervention

  • Background: Rapid population aging in developed countries has resulted in the working-age population increasingly being tasked with the provision of informal care. Methods: An educational intervention was delivered to 21 carer-employees employed at a Canadian University. Work role function, job security, schedule control, work-family conflict, familywork conflict, and supervisor and coworker support were measured as part of an aggregated workplace experience score. This score was used to measure changes pre/post intervention and at a follow-up period approximately 12 months post intervention. Three random intercept models were created via linear mixed modeling to illustrate changes in participants' workplace experience across time. Results: All three models reported statistically significant random and fixed effects intercepts, with a positive coefficient of change. Conclusion: This suggests that the intervention demonstrated an improvement of the workplace experience score for participants over time, with the association particularly strong immediately after intervention.

Study molded part quality of plastic injection process by melt viscosity evaluation

  • A study that demonstrates how to investigate the molded part quality and the consistency of injection process based on the rheological concept is proposed. It is important for plastic material whose melt viscosity is variable with respect to the processing condition. The formulations to couple the melt viscosity with injection pressure and fill time are derived first. Taking calculations of the measured pressure and the time by using these formulations, the melt viscosity in injection process can be determined on machine. As the relation between the injection speed and the melt viscosity is constructed, the influences of the setting parameter of injection machine on the molded part quality can be investigated through evaluating the state of the melt viscosity. In addition, a pressure sensor bushing (PSB) designed with a quick installation feature is also provided and validated. The results show that a higher injection speed improves the tensile strength of the molded part but also the consistency of the molded part quality. This work provides an alternative to evaluate the molding quality scientifically.
