Experimental study on practical automatic snowplows

  • In this study, control technique of two types of automatic snowplow was experimentally investigated. One is a remote-controlled snowplow used for removing snow around houses, and the other is an autonomous snowplow for use in wide, open spaces such as a parking lot of a large-scale retail store. A commercially available snowplow was modified to enable remote control by the use of a personal handy-phone system. The autonomous controller utilizes a vision sensor that consists of a CCD video camera and a computer for image processing. In addition, design of a practical landmark was examined.

  • 인터넷과 컴퓨팅 환경의 발전으로 모바일 네트워크 환경이 발전하였다. 본 논문에서는 이동차량에서 실시간 주차정보를 제공 받기 위한 무선 네트워크 환경을 구축하고, 다양한 어플리케이션간에 데이터를 교환하고 공유하기 편리한 XML 데이터를 생성하여, 실시간으로 주차정보를 전달하는 방법을 제시 및 구현한다.

  • 운전자 보조시스템에는 적응순항제어 (adaptive cruise control), 차선변경 (lane change), 충돌경고 (collision warning), 충돌회피 (collision avoidance), 및 자동주차 (automatic parking) 등이 있다. 이런 운전자 보조시스템은 어떤 목적을 가지고 있다. 운전자의 부담을 줄이고 안전을 위하여 차량의 주행방향에 있는 장애물이나 차량을 감지하여 차량간의 안전거리론 유지하고 자동차가 일정 속도를 유지하도록 한다. 운전자 보조시스템의 효율은 센서들로부터 얻어진 정보의 해석에 달려있다.(중략)

  • 본 논문에서는 주차장의 주차 공간 정보와 블루투스 비콘 정보를 활용하여 IoT 기반 스마트 주차정보 시스템을 구현하였다. 주차장의 주차 센서는 주차 정보를 실시간으로 서버에게 전달하며 차량 운전자는 스마트폰 앱을 실행하고 주차장에 진입한다. 스마트폰은 그 주차장의 블루투스 비콘 신호를 이용하여 주차 위치를 자동으로 인식하며 주차하려는 층의 주차 정보를 한눈에 확인할 수 있다.

  • 기존의 물리 센서를 활용한 주차 감지는 주차장 규모가 클수록 큰 비용이 필요하고 이미지 기반의 분석은 개별 주차장에 대한 데이터 라벨링과 학습의 노력이 필요했다. 본 논문은 LoRa(Long Range) 네트워크와 마이크로프로세서를 활용한 IoT기반의 시스템으로 영상데이터를 서버로 전송하고 COCO(Common Object in context) 데이터셋으로 학습된 Mask R-CNN 기반의 모델을 활용한 주차장 내 차량점유 감지 알고리즘을 통해 개별 주차장에 대한 학습 또는 라벨링 없이 주차장 내 주차상태를 식별하고 사용자에게 인터페이스를 통해 실시간으로 주차정보를 제공하는 시스템을 구현한다.

A Study on the Dynamic Analysis and Control Algorithm for a Motor Driven Power Steering System

  • The power steering system for vehicles is becoming essential for supporting the steering efforts of the drivers, especially for the parking lot maneuver Although hydraulic power steering has been widely used for years, its efficiency is not high enough. The problems associated with a hydraulic howe. steering system can be solved by a motor driven power steering (MDPS) system. In this study, a dynamic model and a control algorithm for the ball screw type of MDPS system have been derived and analyzed by using the method of discrete modeling technology. To improve steering feel and power steering characteristics, two derivative gains are added to the conventional power boosting control algorithm. Through simulations, the effects of the control gain on the steering angle gain were verified in the frequency domain. The steering returnability and steering torque phase lag in on-center handling test were also evaluated in the time domain.

  • In urban area narrow commuter vehicles have attracted interest as a possible solution to reduce traffic congestion and parking problems. However, a narrow vehicle has an increased to overturn during hard cornering when compared to conventional vehicles. This tendency can be reduced by tilting it toward the inside of the turn. Two types of automatic tilting control systems which are Direct Tilt Control(DTC) and Steering Tilt Control(STC) have been developed. In this paper as one of the technique to improve the handling performance for the unusual vehicle the control system which blends both the DTC and the STC system is considered. It uses the merits of both the DTC and the STC system. As a control strategy for combination the switching control method is used. Finally, the fact that the unusual vehicle is safe under an emergency situation such as slippery road surface is proved by computer simulation.

  • Propulsion System provides the required velocity change impulse for orbit transfer from parking orbit to mission orbit and three-axis vehicle attitude control impulse. New LEO Satellite propulsion system (PS) will be an all-welded, monopropellant hydrazine system. The PS consists of the subassemblies and components such as Thrusters, Propellant Tank, Pressure Transducer, Propellant Filter, Latching Isolation Valves, Fill/Drain Valves, interconnecting propellant line assembly, and thermal hardwares for operation-environment control of the PS. In this study, preliminary design process of LEO Satellite propulsion system will be summarized.

  • In this paper, we develop protype of wierless recognition system using low frequency. Application of this system is very broad. Namely, High-way toll gate, animal management, parking system and industral automation et al. This system is composed of controller, decoder and tag. Controller is personal PC, decoder is signal module and tag is mobile corresponder module. Modulation is ASK, 4,800bps, frequency is 120/60kHz and transmission length is about 80cm. And now we study improvement of stability, low power consumption, compact of tag and transmission length improvement.
