The single-period production inventory control problem under random yield is considered to analyze the impact of the yield characteristics on the firm's profit. We use the stochastic comparison as a main vehicle to compare the profits resulted under different random yields. Commonly used stochastic orderings are addressed with an analysis of their implications on the firm's profit. Moreover, a distribution-free bound on the profit is derived.

Comparison of the combustion characteristics of methane-air and gasoline-air mixtures has been conducted experimentally by a spherical bomb technique. The results indicate 1) the burning velocity of gasoline is slightly higher than that of methane, but their basic behavior of combustion characteristics, positive dependence on temperature and negative one on pressure, are the same, and 2) 20 vol.% addition of hydrogen to methane enhances the burning velocity by about 30%, but does not come to reverse the tendency of pressure dependence to that of pure hydrogen.

Comparison of acoustic emission, ultrasonic testing and crack gauge in 3-point bending testing have been studied. As the results, COD is indirectly assumed by strain gauge rate and grid pitch width when crack gauge grid is out. Acoustic emission is qualitatively able to measure crack growth by total count but ultrasonic testing has a difficulty in measuring it because of echo height fluctuation according to the change and pressure of UT. probe.

Deraining is one of the image restoration tasks and should consider a tradeoff between local details and broad contextual information while recovering images. Current studies adopt an attention mechanism which has been actively researched in natural language processing to deal with both global and local features. This paper classifies existing deraining methods and provides comparative analysis and performance comparison by using several datasets in terms of generalization.

This study aims to analyze and compare the environmental attitude level and characteristics of interest groups, including visitors, local residents, and local public servants (Cheongsong-gun), in Juwangsan National Park. A statistical analysis of 418 questionnaires concluded that there was no statistically significant gender difference in the level of environmental attitude between the visitors, local residents, and local public servants. In the case of visitors, no significant difference was found in the level of environmental attitude according to age and occupation, but the level of environmental attitude of local residents showed a significant difference according to age and occupation. In general visitors, local residents, and local public servants all scored above the mid point on average, but no statistically significant difference in environmental attitude was observed between these groups. Therefore, it is concluded that mutual consensus can be derived from these interest groups to strengthen the protection of Juwangsan National Park.
