  • This study is based on data from the food consumption survey on 727 members of 125 farm households from 7 different provinces. The survey was conducted in May, 1975 in cooperation with the O.R.D. The results obtained in this study are summarized as follows. 1. The average consumption of the basic food groups per capita per day was 563 g for cereals and grains(398g of rice and 129g of barley), 87.6g for meats and legumes, 317.8g for fruits and vegetables, 25.7g for milks and small fishes, 9.1g for fats and oils, and 45.1g for other group. 2. The average daily consumption of calories and nutrients was 2256 cal and 11.7g for animal proteins, 70.5g for total proteins, 21.6g for fats, 537.4mg for calcium, 18.1mg for iron, 5375lU for vitamin A, 1.27mg for thiamine, 1.05mg for riboflavin, 15.5mg for niacin, 77.7mg for ascorbic acid. When these figures are compared with the recommended allowances for Korean, the calories and nutrients intakes were satisfactory, except for the intakes of animal protein which was below two third of the recommended allowance. 3. The diets of the projected villages differed from those of the non-projected villages in the following respect: (a) The amounts of animal proteins and fats were larger in the projected villages than in the non-projected villages. (b) The percentage contribution of fats to the total amount of calories from three nutrients, carbohydrates, proteins and fats was higher in the projected villages than in tile non-projected villages. (c) The percentage contribution from carbohydrates to the total amount of calories was higher in the non-projected villages than in the projected villages. 4. Certain physical and clinical symptoms were observed among the people in the rural areas, which can be related to the shortages of animal proteins and fats in their diets. It is recommended to pay special attention to the nutrition of school children in the Korean rural areas.

  • There are many ways to know the social and cultural level of each country. Among them, a museum are not only the best place to understand the history, the life style and the culture level. The most important constituent, which museum architecture has, are visitors, exhibition and communication between visitors. Exhibition space composition is the one of important things in museum architecture, and it's essential to show an intent of exhibition to visitors. This thesis has the purpose to provide the basic material through analyzing exhibition space composition and exhibition method of the theme museum and understanding the relativity of them so that the new theme museums can be designed in the Tight direction. So I chose the independence museum that opened within recent 10 years, finally middle & small size's theme museum were selected. The results from the case study are as follow. Firstly, the exhibition space unit of basic type and center-hall enter type had a one-way for gateway and used the exhibition of three or four faces. The exhibition space unit of around tile center-hall type and guidance type had the separated gateway and used the exhibition of one or two faces. Secondly, the exhibition method of selected museums was divided into the wall face type and the island type. The exhibition method of two faces mainly used in guidance type caused complicated visitor circulation. In that case, it seemed to be good that two walls were used alternately. Thirdly, there were visual type, audio-visual type, handling type and experiential type in the method of exhibition. The former two types were used mostly, and the latter two types were rarely used. Fourthly, the wall face type was inefficient for exhibition because given walls were supposed to be used. Therefore, it was more effective to use the wall face type and the island type together.

  • In this paper, we propose a new caching strategy for web servers. The proposed algorithm collects on]y the statistics of the requested file, for example the popularity, when a request arrives. And, at times, only files with higher popularity are cached all together. Because the cache remains unchanged until the cache is made newly, web server can use very efficient data structure for cache to determine whether a file is in the cache or not. This increases greatly tile efficiency of cache manipulation. Furthermore, the experiment that is performed with real log files built by web servers shows that the cache hit ratio and the cache hit ratio are better than those produced by LRU. The proposed algorithm has a drawback such that the cache hit ratio may decrease when the popularity of files that is not in the cache explodes instantaneously. But in our opinion, such explosion happens infrequently, and it is easy to implement the web servers to adapt them to such unusual cases.

  • Due to the merits that only a small amount of computation is needed for solutions and stochastic policies can be handled explicitly, the actor-critic algorithm, which is a class of reinforcement learning methods, has recently attracted a lot of interests in the area of artificial intelligence. The actor-critic network composes of tile actor network for selecting control inputs and the critic network for estimating value functions, and in its training stage, the actor and critic networks take the strategy, of changing their parameters adaptively in order to select excellent control inputs and yield accurate approximation for value functions as fast as possible. In this paper, we consider a new actor-critic algorithm employing an RLS(Recursive Least Square) method for critic learning, and policy gradients for actor learning. The applicability of the considered algorithm is illustrated with experiments on the two linked robot arm.

  • La-modified $PbTiO_{3}$(PLT) thin plates were prepared for the fabrication of PLT pyroelectric IR sensors. The effects of the preparation parameters such as tile sintering temperature, the La content, and the ambient powder quantity, on the microstructural and dielectric properties of PLT thin plates were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, and measurements of relative density and dielectric properties. With an increased La content, the tetragonality c/a was decreased but the densification and the grain size were increased, which is considered to be due to the increased Pb vacancy concentration to maintain charge neutrality at the increased of La content. When the quantity of the ambient powder wvas increased, the tetragonality was slightly increased, which is believed io be due to the reduced evaporation of PbO. But the e(fect is insignificant compared to that of La content. The dielectric constant at room temperature was increased and the Curie temperature was decreased in accordance with the decreased tetragonality ratio c/a with the increase of La content. The dielectric constant and tan ${\delta}$ of $500{\mu}m$ thick PLT thin plate with 10 wt% excess PbO and 10 mol% La contant sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours in ambient powder of $0.02\;g/cm^{3}$ were 360 and 0.02, respectively.

  • A nationwide survey was performed to know the distribution and prevalence of human Gymnophalloides seoi infection on western and southern coastal islands in the Republic of Korea. A total of 4,178 fecal specimens were collected Iron) residents on 45 (24 western and 21 southern) islands, and examined by Kato-Katz and formalin-ether sedimentation techniques. Eggs of G. seoi were detected from 160 (3.8%) people living on 22 (13 western and 9 southern) islands. The prevalence varied by the location of islands; higher on western islands than on southern islands . The highest prevalence was found on Amtaedo (25.3%), followed by Cheungdo (25.0%), and Anchwado (20.9%) (Shinan-gun). A little lower prevalence was observed on Munyodo (13.3%), Shinshido (12.9%), and Sonyudo (10.3%) (Kunsan-shi). Of the remaining islands, tile regions showing the prevalence greater than 5% included Kohado, Dallido (Mokpo-shi) . Pyeongildo, Kogumdo (Wando-gun) and Keogumdo (Kohung-gun). A strong age predilection was noted (p < 0.05): 95% of the infected people were over 40 years old. Females showed a little higher prevalence than males. The results indicate that human G. seoi infection is more widely distributed than previously considered. Nine of 11 islands (excluding the 2 known areas Munyodo and Sunyudo) that showed greater prevalence than 5% are regarded as new endemic foci of G. seoi.

  • In this study, the mechanical properties and hand characteristics have been analyze4 according to fabric structural parameters such as the weft density and weave stricture of cotton fabric. KES-FB system was used to measure hand characteristics and mechanical properties of fabric. The weft density made an effect on bending and shear properties but not on tensile , compression, and surface properties. In case of wearing property, B/w, 2HG/G, 2HB/B, 2HB/W, $\sqrt[3]{B/W}$, $\sqrt{2HB/W}$, W/T, WC/W were affected tv the weft density. The crimp was highly correlated with the tightness, hand, wearing an4 mechanical properties, specially tensile linearity, bending, shear, and compression properties. The weft crimp influenced the bending, shear, compression resilience, surface roughness, hand, and wearing properties. The tightness has an effect on tile bending, shear, compression, surface friction, hand, and wearing properties.
