In this paper, we introduce a novel mobility model for mobile sinks in which the sinks move towards randomly distributed destinations, where each destination is associated with a mission. The novel mobility model is termed the random mobility with destinations. There have been many studies on mobile sinks; however, they merely support two extreme cases of sink mobility. The first case features the most common and general mobility, with the sinks moving randomly, unpredictably, and inartificially. The other case takes into account mobility only along predefined or determined paths such that the sinks can gather data from sensor nodes with minimum overhead. Unfortunately, these studies for the common mobility and predefined path mobility might not suit for supporting the random mobility with destinations. In order to support random mobility with destination, we propose a new protocol, in which the source nodes send their data to the next movement path of a mobile sink. To implement the proposed protocol, we first present a mechanism for predicting the next movement path of a mobile sink based on its previous movement path. With the information about predicted movement path included in a query packet, we further present a mechanism that source nodes send energy-efficiently their data along the next movement path before arriving of the mobile sink. Last, we present mechanisms for compensating the difference between the predicted movement path and the real movement path and for relaying the delayed data after arriving of the mobile sink on the next movement path, respectively. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol achieves better performance than the existing protocols.
The aim of this study is to evaluate tennis shoes's plantar pressure distribution in tennis prayers and to determine the influence of the shoe on various tennis movements. When investigating the biomechanics of movement in tennis, one of the first things to do is to understand the movement patterns of the sport, specifically how these patterns relate to different tennis shoes. Once these patterns are understood, footwear company can design tennis shoes that match the individual needs of tennis players. Plantar pressure measurement is widely employed to study foot function, the mechanical pathogenesis for foot disease and as a diagnostic and outcome measurement tool for many performance. Measurements were taken of plantar pressure distribution across the foot and using F-Scan(Tekscan Inc.) systems respectively. The F-Scan system for dynamic in-shoe foot pressure measurements has enabled us to assess quantitatively the efficacy of different types of footwear in reducing foot pressures. The Tekscan F-Scan system consists of a flexible, 0.18mm thick sole-shape having 1260 pressure sensors, the sensor insole was trimmed to fit the subjects' right, left shoes. For this study 4 university male, high level tennis players were instructed to hit alternated forehand stroke, backhand stroke, forehand volley, backhand volley, smash, service movement in 4 different tennis shoes. 1. When impact in tennis movement, peak pressure distribution of landing foot displayed D>C>B>A, A displayed the best low pressure distribution. A style's tennis shoes will suggest prayer with high impact. If prayer with high impact feeling during pray in tennis wear A style, it will decrease injury, will have performance improvement. 2. When impact in tennis movement, plantar pattern of pressure distribution in landing foot displayed B>A>C>D in stability performance. During tennis, prayer want to stability movement suggest B style tennis shoes when tennis movement impact keep stability of human body. B style tennis shoes give performance improvement 3. When impact in tennis movement, plantar pattern of center of force(C.O.F.)trajectory in landing foot analyzed this : 1) When stroke movement and volley movement in tennis, prayer better to rearfoot movement. 2) when service movement, prayer midfoot strike movement. 3) when smash movement, prayer have forefoot strike movement.

To investigate the momentary movement pattern of soft contact lens(SCL) depending on wearing time, eight types of soft contact lenses were worn by 10 normal subjects and the momentary movements of SCLs were estimated using by high speed camera(FASTCAM ultima 1024). When the momentary movements of SCLs in the cornea between blinkings were compared after 15 min wearing, the vertical movements of all eight SCLs were about 2 times larger than the horizontal movement but the extent of these movement difference was a function of kinds of SCLs. The momentary moving distance of SCL varied from the kinds of SCLs, which A and B lens, daily wear lens, moved significantly larger distance compared with other SCLs. The momentary movements between blinkings decreased significantly after 8hr wear of SCLs. The extents were different when SCLs were compared with each other, which the reduction range of horizontal and vertical movement was 24.6~60.0% and 20.4~94.3%, respectively. The A, B and C lenses which had relatively higher water content showed the larger movement reduction after SCL wear. This results suggest that wearing SCL for some hours decreases the movement of SCl, which can induce the change of tear flow.

This research develops a low-cost and high accuracy kinematic calibration method based on the following principles: 1) the platform locations are accurately measured by a constrained movement to inspect a calibration target; 2) the constrained movement is chosen to guarantee the parameter observability; 3) the mechanical fixture to constrain the movement and the sensor to check the constrained movement are implemented by low-cost and high-accuracy devices; 4) the calibration is easily done at an industrial environment. The kinematic parameters calibrated with respect to a single plane aren't influenced due to the misalignment of the plane. A parameter observability is successfully obtained even through one planar constraint, which guarantees that all kinematic parameters are estimated by minimizing the cost function.

In this research the energy degrader, which is the most fragile part of the security of a target, has been newly designed to improve the performance of the gas target. Also, the numerical analysis of the heat movement and mechanical movement during the operation of the target has been accomplished. The heat analysis and structure analysis which are using the cooling water flow and pressure in the energy degrader and the Nastran mediocrity finite element analysis program, has been considered with the heat movement and mechanical movement according to the current capacity of proton beam which determines the production yield of the radioactive isotope. Also the possible use range has been determined, and at the same time the most suitable running condition according to the current capacity of proton beam has been suggested.

This paper presents a foot movement tracking system using ultrasonic sensors and inertial sensors, where the position and velocity of foot are computed using inertial sensors and ultrasonic sensors mounted on a shoe. A foot movement can be estimated using an inertial navigation algorithm only; however, the error tends to increase due to biases of gyroscopes and accelerometers. To reduce the error, a localization system using ultrasonic sensors is additionally used. In the localization system using ultrasonic sensors, the position is continuously calculated in the absolute coordinate. An indirect Kalman filter is used to combine inertial sensors and ultrasonic sensors. Through experiments, it is shown that the proposed system can track a foot movement.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether cortical punching could stimulate the expression of OPG, RANK, and RANKL during tooth movement by immunohistochemistry. Methods: 34 sprague-dawley rats (15 weeks old) were allocated into 3 groups: TMC group (experimental group; Tooth Movement with Corticotomy, n = 16), TM group (control group; Tooth Movement only group, n = 16), and non-treatment group (n = 2). 20 gm of orthodontic force was applied to rat incisors by inserting elastic bands. The duration of force application was 1, 4, 7 and 14 days. A microscrew (diameter 1.2 mm) was used for cortical punching of the palatal side of the upper incisors in the TMC group. Results: Distributions of OPG, RANK, and RANKL were evaluated by immunohistochemistry. OPG, RANK and RANKL were observed on experimental and control groups. On the compression side, the degree of the expression of OPG decreased in both groups. The expression of RANK was most prominent in the experimental group of day 4. The expression of RANKL was most intensive and extensive in the experimental group of day 7. However, the expression of OPG was decreased in the experimental and control groups compared to the non treatment group. The expression of OPG, RANK and RANKL after force application were decreased at day 14. Conclusions: These findings suggested that cortical punching might stimulate remodeling of alveolar bone during a 2 week period of tooth movement without any pathologic change.

Background : Isolated pure blowout fractures are clinically important because they are the main cause of serious complications such as diplopia and limitation of extraocular movement. Many reports have described the incidence of blowout fractures associated with diplopia and limitation of extraocular movement; however, no studies have statistically analyzed this relationship. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the correlation between the location of isolated pure blowout fractures and orbital symptoms such as diplopia and limitation of extraocular movement. Methods : We enrolled a total of 354 patients who had been diagnosed with isolated pure blowout fractures, based on computed tomography, from June 2008 to November 2011. Medical records were reviewed, and the prevalence of extraocular movement limitations and diplopia were determined. Results : There were 14 patients with extraocular movement limitation and 58 patients complained of diplopia. Extraocular movement limitation was associated with the following findings, in decreasing order of frequency: floor fracture (7.1%), extended fracture (3.6%), and medial wall (1.7%). However, there was no significant difference among the types of fractures (P=0.60). Diplopia was more commonly associated with floor fractures (21.4%) and extended type fractures (23.6%) than medial wall fractures (10.4%). The difference was statistically significant (Bonferroni-corrected chi-squared test P<0.016). Conclusions : Data indicate that extended type fractures and orbital floor fractures tend to cause diplopia more commonly than medial wall fractures. However, extraocular movement limitation was not found to be dependent on the location of the orbital wall fracture.
The goal of this study is to present quantification method for empathy. The micro-movement technology (non-contact sensing method) was used to identify empathy level. Participants were first divided into two groups: Empathized and not empathized. Then, the upper body data of participants were collected utilizing web-cam when participants carried expression tasks. The data were analyzed and categorized into 0.5 Hz, 1 Hz, 3 Hz, 5 Hz, 15 Hz. The average movement, variation, and synchronization of the movement were then compared. The results showed a low average movement and variation in a group who empathized. Also, the participants, who empathized, synchronized their movement during the task. This indicates that the people concentrates with each other when empathy has been established and show different levels of movement. These findings suggest the possibility of empathy quantification using non-contact sensing method.
