A study on vibration characteristics caused by backlash of gear-box in escalator with chain-sprocket drive mechanism (체인-스프라켓 메커니즘을 갖는 에스컬레이터에서 기어박스 백래시로 인한 이상진동에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents an improved escalator dynamic model so as to reflect the experimental observation on the pseudo-resonance affected by load applied. The experimental evidence reveals that backlash of gearbox as well as sag of driving chain are most critical factors to the pseudo-resonance in escalators. The dynamic model effectively reflects vibration characteristics measured in real escalators with respect to different conditions of driving chain and the number of passengers. (omitted)

  • 고전압 시험 진행시, 시험전압의 파고치, 순시강하, 정현파로부터의 편차, 규약 파두장과 같은 시간특성을 측정할 때는 일반적으로 IEC60060-2에 따른 인증절차를 거친 장치를 사용해야 한다. 최근 LG산전 전력시험 기술센타의 고전압 시험실은 기존의 아날로그 오실로스코프를 디지털 오실로스코프로 교체하고 PC와 GPIB를 이용해 시험변수의 자동 계산을 위해 관련 소프트웨어를 개발했다. 또한, 새로 구축한 측정시스템의 성능검증을 위해 산업체 인증기관인 LG산전이 보유하고 있는 기준계측시스템과의 비교시험을 실시하고 측정 불확도를 산출하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 새로운 측정 시스템에 적용한 성능시험방법과 불확도 산출방법, 소프트웨어의 기능과 성능에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

  • Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) methods are widely employed for the non-destructive testing of gas pipelines. In the application of MFL pipeline inspection technology, corrosion anomalies are detected and identified via their leakage filed due to changes in wall thickness. This paper presents discrete cosine transform (DCT) based MFL signal analysis for defect feature extraction of natural gas pipelines. The original MFL signals are transformed into new ones based on the analysis. The usefulness of the approach has been shown by the experimental results.

  • Mutation and its pilot-scale fermentation were conducted for the production of teicoplanin from Actinoplanes teichomyceticus. The fermentation medium was optimized by replacement and Plackett-Burman experimental design. A maximum production of 1,500 mg/l teicoplanin was obtained by pilot-scale fermentation in an optimized medium containing (g/l): 30 g maltodextrin, 5 g glucose, 5 g yeast extract, 5 g soybean meal, 0.5 g $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$, 0.1 g NaCl, 0.1 g $CaCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$, and 50 g Diaion HP-20. The production of teicoplanin was improved 3-fold from the parental strain by mutation, media optimization, and fermentation, and laboratory-scale fermentation was successfully demonstrated in a pilot-scale fermenter for the industrial production of teicoplanin.

  • Grid connected PV(Photovoltic) generation systems are becoming and actual and general. The power output of PV system is directly affected by the weather conditions. And when AC power supply is needed, power conversion by an inverter and a MPPT control are necessary. The PV power generation system can be treated to a harmonics source for the power distribution system. So, the PV system combined the function of active filter system can be useful applied in power distribution system. AF(Active Filters) intended for harmonic solutions are expending their functions from harmonic compensation of nonlinear loads into harmonic isolation between utilities and consumer. With the test analysis of the proposed control strategy of PV-AF system, the outcome of the test shows the stability and effectiveness of the proposed PV-AF system. The various capability of AF has been proved in previous research and usage. In this paper, authors present a DSP controlled PV-AF system for power conditioning in three-phase industrial or commercial power systems and verify it through experimental results.

  • 띠모양의 에미터와 에미터와 정렬된 띠모양의 케이트 구멍을 가진 탄소나노튜브(CNT) 삼극 구조에 대하여 전계방출 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 전자방출은 주로 가장자리에서 발생하였으며 에미터와 게이트사이의 간격이 가까워지면 급격히 증가하였다. 전자방출 특성도 상당히 우수하였다. 한쪽 가장자리만을 사용한 삼극구조의 경우에는 방출된 전자의 궤적이 좁은 띠모양으로 형성되어 방향성이 매우 우수하게 나타났다. 띠모양의 에미터 및 게이트로 이어진 삼극구조는 제작이 용이하고 조립할 때 정렬이 쉬운 장점이 있다.

A Research on Housing Plan Competitions Promoted by Daily Cho-Sun Company in Japanese Colonial Period (1939년 조선일보 주최 조선주택설계도안 현상모집에 관한 고찰)

  • This study examines the details and characteristics of prizewinning plans of Cho-Sun housing plan competition promoted by Daily Cho-Sun Company during Japanese colonial period. The main features of Cho-Sun housing plan competition were that the competition held with an application of popular newspaper readers and a judging committee was composed of only Korean architects, especially Park, Gil-Ryong as the president of the board of examiners. Cho-Sun housing plan competition put ideological factors for the improvement of living as like advancing to the cultured(modem) life, respecting for family life, respecting for privacy of family members and so on. First of all, the competition suggested the direction of the improvement of dwelling spaces which focused on making harmonious home life. This study found common characteristics of prizewinning plans of Cho-Sun housing plan competition as the result. First, Cho-Sun housing plan competition introduced a centralized house plan as a model of the improvement of small-sized houses. Second, architectural orders of western or Japanese style mingled with ones of korean traditional style in prizewinning plans as entrance hall, western style reception room(parlour), maid's room, bathroom for example. And a manner of seating using chairs was brought into the style of living which would be assumed in the prizewinning plans. Third, traditional way of composing dwelling spaces was maintained, receiving the characteristics of dwelling spaces of japanese style simultaneously, which central corridor was put at the heart of house for improving arrangement of rooms and flow lines. Fourth, lavatory and bathroom were placed inside of the house.
