This paper is related to developing new Bit Error Rate (BER) simulator, Sam sung BER simulator (SBERS), in order to evaluate the link compliance and all kinds of effects of link compliance in a real environment. SBERS allows to generate transmit pulse accurately by using the various parameters, and obtain the eye diagram and bathtub curve, which represents the performance of link, by calculating the transmit pulse and the measured frequency response characteristics. SBERS give results as same as real environment after taking account of distribution and value of noise. To verify the accuracy of simulator, we derive the simulated and measured result and compare eye opening. The difference came out to be within 5% error. It is possible to estimate the real environment and design the transmitter and receiver circuit effectively using new BER simulator, SBERS.

The Interferon stimulated gene 15 (ISG15) is strongly induced in many cell types by IFNs, viral infections, and double-stranded RNA (poly I:C). The ISG15 homologue cDNA was isolated from the rock bream LPS stimulated leukocyte cDNA library. The rock bream ISG15 homologue was found to consist of 833 bp encoding 157 amino acid residues. Compared with other known ISG15 peptide sequences, the most conserved regions of the rock bream ISG15 peptide were found to be the tandem ubiquitin-like domains and a C-terminal LRLRGG conjugating motif, characteristic of mammalian and non-mammalian ISG15 proteins. Phylogenetic analysis based on the deduced amino acid sequence revealed a homologous relationship between the ISG15 sequence of rock bream and that of Atlantic salmon, Atlantic cod, northern snake head, black rockfish and olive flounder. The expression of the rock bream ISG15 molecule was induced in the peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs) from 1 to 24 h following poly I:C stimulation, with a peak at 3 h post-stimulation. The rock bream ISG15 gene was predominantly expressed in the PBLs, spleen and gill.

This paper investigates how market participants react to mergers and acquisitions (M&As) involving telecommunications companies. The empirical evidence suggests that such activities convey bad news to the market. This is consistent with the synergy trap hypothesis and extant empirical findings of value-reducing diversification strategies in recent literature. The evidence also indicates that a cross-border, rather than a domestic M&A deal, is the main driver of the negative market reaction. Further, our evidence of negative impacts on the bidder's business after an M&A reinforces our main finding that market participants, on average, perceive M&A activities to be detrimental to shareholder value. This suggests that value creation or synergy through an M&A deal is not warranted even though it can generate an increase in size of the firm.

본 연구에서는 교통사고나 뇌졸중등에 의해 경추 이하 마비나 손, 발 등의 움직임은 자유롭지는 않으나 머리를 움직일 수 있는 사람들을 대상으로 컴퓨터 사용에 도움을 주고자 머리 움직임과 눈의 깜박임을 이용하여 컴퓨터 마우스의 기능을 대신할 수 있는 장비의 개발을 목표로 한다. 머리 움직임을 감지하기 위하여 가속도계와 자이로 센서를 이용할 경우의 차이를 비교해 보았고, 클릭과 더블 클릭과 같은 마우스 이벤트를 감지하기 위해 광을 이용한 눈 깜박임으로 클릭과 더블 릭의 구현이 가능한지에 대한 여부를 확인하였다. 그 결과, 머리의 움직임은 가속도계보다 자이로 센서의 출력을 적분하여 얻는 것이 우수하였고, 광을 이용한 눈 깜박임의 검출은 클릭과 더블클릭의 구별을 위한 추가적인 신호 처리를 통해 가능성 을 확인하였다.

As the popularization and development of 3D display makes common users easy to experience a solid 3D virtual reality, the demand for virtual reality contents are increasing. In this paper, we propose 3D panorama system using vanishing point locationbased depth map generation method. 3D panorama using depthmap stitching gives an effect that makes users feel staying at real place and looking around nearby circumstances. Also, 3D panorama gives free sight point for both nearby object and remote one and provides solid 3D video.

A model predicting thermal and wear crown in order to control strip crown and shape has been investigated at the hot roll mill. A basic equation of predicting wear crown was obtained experimentally whereas thermal crown was approximately analyzed by the integral method. The calculated result based on the accumulative model of basic eauation coincides with that measured under the real rolling conditions. The effect of wear corwn is also analyzed by the longitudinal feeding method of the work roll. The high frequency feeding method is recommended in removing local wear effectively.

A detailed geothermal characteristics survey with numerical simulations of the heat transfer in a site for ground source heat pump system is necessary for deploying a shallow geothermal utilization system. Density, specific heat, thermal diffusivity, and thermal conductivity are measured on 91 core samples from a 300 m deep borehole in KIGAM(Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources). The heat flow is estimated from the thermal gradient and average thermal conductivity and the correlation between fracture system and hydraulic conductivity is analyzed. From the obtained ground information of the study site the performance of the ground heat pump system can be analyzed with some detailed numerical simulations for seasonal heat pump operation skill and optimal system design techniques.

Several isotropic compression-expansion tests and a series of drained conventional traxial tests with various confining pressures for relative density of Beakma river sand 25%, 50%, 80% and 100% selecting Lade's Single Work-Hardening constitutive model. This examination materials use regression analysis as a basis, depending on the relative density of soil parameters change statement attributes. Yield fuction represent the soil parameters h and $\alpha$ is not affected by the changes in the relative density. $\eta_1$ could be replaced by fomula. And Numerical analysis results predicted very good and could confirm that.

In case of inspection on aluminum castings, traditional RT (Radiographic Testing) method have been utilized for its advantages in interpretation, cost and perpetual storage. But it has disadvantages like time consumption in film processing, low efficiency in storage and environmental pollution. In this thesis, a DRS (Digital Radiography System) utilizing X-Ray TDI Camera (Time Delay and Integration Camera) is developed. Inspections on aluminum castings are performed using the developed Digital Radiography System, DRS and reviewed if newly developed system can substitute for the traditional method.
