중복 학습 방지에 의한 역전파 학습 알고리듬 (Back-Propagation Algorithm through Omitting Redundant Learning)

  • In this paper the back-propagation algorithm through omitting redundant learning has been proposed to improve learning speed. The proposed algorithm has been applied to XOR, Parity check and pattern recognition of hand-written numbers. The decrease of the number of patterns to be learned has been confirmed as learning proceeds even in early learning stage. The learning speed in pattern recognition of hand-written numbers is improved more than 2 times in various cases of hidden neuron numbers. It is observed that the improvement of learning speed becomes better as the number of patterns and the number of hidden numbers increase. The recognition rate of the proposed algorithm is nearly the same as that conventional method.

고속병렬컴퓨터(SPAX)에서의 효율적인 메시지 전달을 위한 메시지 전송 기법 (A Message Transfer Scheme for Efficient Message Passing in the Highly Parallel Computer SPAX)

  • In this paper, we present a message transfer scheme for efficient message passing in the hierarchically structured multiprocessor computer SPAX(Scalable Parallel Architecture computer based on X-bar network). The message transfer scheme provides interface not only with operating system but also with end users. In order to transfer two types of control message and data message efficiently, it supports both of memory-mapped transfer and DMA-based transfer. Dual-port RAMs are used as message buffers, and control and status registers provide efficient programming interface. Interlaced parity scheme is adopted for error control. If any error is detected at receiving node, errored packet is resent by sender according to retry mechanism. In conjunction with retry mechanism, watchdog timers are used to protect infinite waiting and repeated retry. The proposed message transfer scheme can be applied to input/output nodes and communication connection nodes as well as processing nodes in the SPAX.

반도체 메모리의 테스트를 위한 MTA(Memory TestAble code)코드 (MTA(Memory TestAble) Code for Testing in Semiconductor Memories)

  • This paper proposes a memory testable code called MTA(Memory TestAble) code which is based on error correcting code technique for testing functional faults in semiconductor memories. The characteristics of this code are analyzed and compared with those of conventional codes. The developed decoding technique for this code can reduce the decoder circuits up to 70% and obtain two-times faster decoding speed than other codes such as hamming code or Hsiao code. The MTA code is eccectively applicable to parallel testing of semiconductor memories because it has the same information length and parity length. It can detect from single error functional faults to triple error in semiconductor memories.

  • The Purposes of this study are for the assessment of anxiety level and for identification for factors relating to the anxiety of the normal Pregnant women who are impendign or entering labor. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory is used as the measure of anxiety. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The correlation between state-anxiety and trait-anxiety is 0.459 and the linear regression is y(State-anxiety) : 0.251$\chi$(Trait -anxiety)+29.27. 2. The maternal state-anxiety is not related to the variables of the age, the educational level, the occupation, the prenatal care, parity, show, labor pain and delivery type except for the premature or early rupture of the fetal membranes. 3. The maternal trait-anxiety is not related to the above-mentioned variables.

  • The fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) technology may be applied in order to decrease the energy consumption and the maintenance cost of the air conditioning system. In this study, rule bases and curve fitting models were used to detect faults in an air handling unit. Gradually progressed faults, such as the fan speed degradation, the coil water leakage, the humidifier nozzle clogging, the sensor degradation and the damper stoppage, were applied to the developed FBD system. Simulation results show good detections and diagnoses of these faults. Therefore, this method may be effectively used for the fault detection and diagnosis of the air handling unit.

  • The handicapped as a member of a society should possess the same opportunity of a perfect participation in public affairs and an equal opportunity in parity of treatment. All sorts of physical and social barriers surrounding the handicapped who can not having a impairment and disability give a less chance to have a share in their society. Therefore, this discrimination barriers must be phased off not only by handicapped but also by normal social members so as to perfect and free access to movement, all of social institution and social activities. Therefor, this paper provides a basic data which conducts investigation and analysis on the outdoor access environment for the handicapped's easy access to public building or facilities. It would be most import rules to make a decision between improvement rate and object for public building or public facilities.

On the Design of Block Lengths for Irregular LDPC Codes Based on the Maximum Variable Degree

  • This paper presents the design of block lengths for irregular low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes based on the maximum variable degree $d_{{\upsilon},max}$. To design a block length, the performance degradation of belief-propagation (BP) decoding performance from upper bounds on the maximum likelihood (ML) decoding performance is used as an important factor. Since for large block lengths, the performance of irregular LDPC codes is very close to the Shannon limit, we focus on moderate block lengths ($5{\times}10^2\;{\leq}\;N\;{\leq}\;4{\times}10^3$). Given degree distributions, the purpose of our paper is to find proper block lengths based on the maximum variable degree $d_{{\upsilon},max}$. We also present some simulation results which show how a block length can be optimized.

  • 본 논문은 LDPC 부호에 기반한 HARQ 기법으로서 소수의 패리티 검사 행렬을 설계한 후 패리티 천공과 전송된 부호어의 일부를 재전송하여 결합하는 방법을 이용해 넓은 범위의 정보처리량을 지원하는 방법을 소개하고, 원하는 정보처리량을 얻기 위해 사용해야할 기법의 선택 기준을 제시한다. 또한, Raptor 부호의 구조를 가지는 다선분형(multi-edge type, MET) LDPC 부호를 이용해 IR 기법을 사용하는 HARQ 시스템을 설계할 경우, 통상적인 LDPC 부호에 패리티 천공과 재전송 및 결합 기법을 적용한 HARQ 시스템보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 전산실험을 통해 검증한다.

  • 수직자기기록 채널에서는 PRML(Partial-Response Maximum Likelihood) 검출방법이나 NPML(Noise-Predictive Maximum Likelihood) 검출방법을 이용한 방식으로 더 이상의 성능 향상을 기대하기 힘들게 되었다. 따라서 LDPCO(Low-Density Parity-Check) 부호를 이용한 성능의 향상을 기대하게 되었는데, 본 논문에서는 메시지 전달 방식을 이용한 채널 검출기와 LDPC 부호를 결합시켜 병렬적으로 채널 반복복호를 수행하여 수직자기기록 채널에서의 성능을 보았다. 또한 메시지 전달 방식의 채널 검출기의 구현 복잡도를 근사화 방식을 이용하여 간단히 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 패리티 검사 행렬에 기반하여 부분접속수가 2인 이진 부분접속 복구 부호의 생성법을 제안한다. 제안하는 부호는 항상 최소거리 6을 갖는다. 이 부호는 부호의 길이와 최소거리가 주어졌을 때 부분접속수가 2인 부호가 가질 수 있는 최대의 차원을 갖는다는 관점에서 최적이다.
