  • One of the concerns that have received substantial interest in the accounting field, in particular, in accounting education, is the increasing scarcity and demand for professional accountants around the globe. This study aims to investigate the effects of financial rewards (FR), parents' and peers' influence (PPIF), and benefits and cost (BCE) on students' intention to pursue a career in accounting. A quantitative, convenient random sampling approach was used, and an online survey was conducted to collect data from students studying in China. A total of 311 valid responses were used for model testing based on the theory of reasoned action and the theory of planned behavior. The findings of the study include the positive effects of FR, PPIF, and BCE on accounting career choice (ACC). This study illustrates that FR is the most dominant factor (β=0.479) for influencing ACC. Furthermore, the used factor explained 70% variation in ACC. The results of the study have implications both for accounting firms and universities whether offering or not offering accounting as a major. This study provides a global perspective, which keeps this study unique from other studies. And in this study, the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) has been used which is randomly used in accounting research.

Physical therapist often direct their attention to the cerebrel palsy child without supporting. teaching or appreciating the parent. As parents are the most influential factor in the child's development and because parents generally have a need to be incorporated in their child's treatment and education. education regarding treatment is essential for the parent. Parents tend to seek information about their child's disability and desire accurate. Straight foreward and complete information about their child. Parent groups are advantageous organizations in that they provide mutual support and emotional and social outlets. While learning to accept a disabled child. parents must deal with additional stressful events which occur when community involvement with the cerebral palsy child begins. The parents are immediately thrust into new roles as they come into contact with medical specialists, physical therapist or other parents of disabled children. These events contribute to a psychological stress. sense of loss and lowing of selfesteem.

  • A survey research was conducted for a sample of 306 adult children who have an elderly parent or both parents alive. The purpose of the research was to test a structural equation model which specified the effects of early family relationships on comtemporary relationships and assistance patterns between adult children and their parents. The data were analyzed using EQS for Windows 5.7, utilizing maximum likelihood method. The results showed that early family relationships affected filial concern first, which in turn affected the level of assistance provided by adult children for elderly parents. No direct effect has been found between early family relationships and the level of assistance by adult children for elderly parents. Filial concern was played as an intervening variable. Early family relationships gave no direct effects to adult children's intention to assist their parents. Here again, filial concern was played as an intervening factor. Adult children's intention to assist their parents had not been led directly to provision of actual support to parents by their adult children. Thus, it was identified that intention to support is one thing, and the actual support is another. Controlling for the effects of filial concern, overall, early family relationship patterns gave no differential effects to the different aspects of support provided to parents by their adult children. On the basis of these results, this paper provided both discussions and suggestions for some strategies of intervention in the present family relationships in order for the inter-generational exchange of supports to happen in the future.

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to evaluate the correlates of depression and perception gap of adolescents' Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) between Parents and Children. Methods: Research targets are all students and their parents who are enrolled in from 1st~3rd grade of middle school to $1^{st}$ grade of high school which was selected intentionally. The survey was conducted from May $16^{th}$ to June $9^{th}$ in 2014 by research staffs equipped with structured questionnaire. $PedsQL^{TM}4.0$ Generic Core Scales and Korean form of the Kovacs' Children's Depression Inventory were the main tool for measuring the HRQOL and depression. Data of 985 respondents, both of parents and children, was used for analysis of this study. Results: In terms of gender difference of depression, 5.8% of adolescents, 3.2% of male and 8.5% of female (p<0.001), are shown depression symptom. Depression rate of the low level students of academic achievement was 11.0% which is the lowest rate to compare to 4.3% of middle level and 2.6% of high level students (p<0.001). The case that parents overestimated their children's overall HRQOL is 3.699 times more likely to have depression symptom than the case which is in concurrence between parents and children. Especially the overestimation in social, emotional, and academic area of HRQOL promote depression 3.918 times, 3.371 times, and 2.258 times more than the agreement occurred of each areas. In contrast underestimation in physical area of HRQOL reduce depression 0.266 times less than the agreement occurred of the area. Conclusion: The perception gap of adolescents' HRQOL between parents and children is the most influential factor to adolescents' depression among all variables which was evaluated in this study.

  • The present study was designed to examine the structural relationship between mothers' perceptions of their relationships with their parents and husbands (as the predictors of parenting self-efficacy), mothers' parenting self-efficacy (PSE), and parenting behaviors among contemporary Korean mothers. A sample of 95 Korean mothers of pre-school,1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade elementary school children in Seoul, South Korea were recruited. Mothers were asked to respond to a survey that captured mothers' perceptions of their relationships with their parents and husbands, PSE, and their parenting behaviors. Structural equation modeling(SEM) was applied to analyze the hypothesized model. The results indicate that mothers who perceive their relationships with their own parents as positive were more likely to have higher PSE. In addition, mothers who reported higher PSE levels were less likely to be inconsistent in their parenting behaviors and more likely to be responsive in their parenting behaviors. The results of this study underscore the importance of PSE as a psychological resource that enables contemporary Korean mothers to parent in positive ways. Furthermore, these findings emphasize the importance of mothers' perceptions of their social relationships as a factor that contributes to higher PSE.

  • Purpose: The purpose of study was to identify the influence of parenting efficacy on health promotion behavior during early childhood and to provide baseline data for developing health promotion programs. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey research study. The participants were 202 parents of children in early childhood selected by convenience sampling. From October 1 to October 8, 2008 data were collected using structured and self-report questionnaires. Results: The mean score for parenting efficacy for these parents was 3.54, and health promotion behavior had a mean score of 3.21. The health promotion behavior was statistically different according to the child's health status, fathers' smoking habits, and mothers' eating habits. Parenting efficacy (17%) was the best predictor, followed by child's health status in early childhood (2%), and mothers' eating habits (1%) which together explained 20% of the variance in health promotion behavior during early childhood. Conclusion: The findings indicate that parenting efficacy of parents is an important factor for enhancing health promotion behavior in early childhood. Therefore, health professionals must establish strategies to improve the parenting efficacy of parents in order to promote health promotion behavior for children in early childhood.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of education expenditure children and financial support for parents on childbirth intention and, elderly life preparation. This study uses Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families data. The research subjects are married women aged between $20{\sim}45$ years old who have one child and are living with at least one parent. The analysis method includes chi-square analysis, frequency analysis, and logistic regression analysis which is suitable for presuming differences between groups and relative influence or power. As a result, the first subjective perception is that economic conditions influence childbirth intention and elderly life preparation. Second, the portion of education expenditure is a more important factor than traditional ones, such as the child's sex, the married woman's job and her income. Third, elderly life preparation is influenced by economic factors, regardless of whether they are subjective or objective factors. Finally, analyses by logistic regression analysis suggest that a decision about childbirth is influenced by education expenditure. This refer to the costs related to the child's generation. A decision about elderly life preparation is related to financial support from parents, meaning costs related to the parents's generation.
