  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of discrimination experiences of adolescents currently using regional children's centers on school life adaptation and the moderating effect of parent-child communication in the process. Data from the first sixth year (2016) of the Children's Panel Survey, which was collected by the Central Children's Center, were used. At the time of the survey, the sample was selected from a total of 392 adolescents who were enrolled in the third year of middle school and currently living with their parents. This study analyzed the correlation analysis of variables related to school life adaptation of adolescents using local children's centers, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, and control effects to explain the moderating effect. As a result of the analysis, it was found that parent-child communication, a modulating variable, has a buffering effect in the relationship between discrimination experiences and student life adaptation. To this end, it sought to develop practical programs such as communication methods and parent-child camps. The results obtained through this study can be used as basic data to broaden the theoretical discussions on adaptation to school life of local children's centers and to prepare appropriate policy visits to expand the effects of social intervention.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine social influence of the counselors on the network for a career counseling on gifted students of science and general students. This study collected data from 151 gifted students of science and 212 general students. The collected data was analyzed by the social network analysis. The results are as follows: First, we found that mother had the highest centrality indicators and teacher had the lowest centrality indicators on the career counseling network in both groups. And the max-flow indicators from mothers to teachers were the lowest on the career counseling network, on other hand; general students had lower centrality indicators than gifted students of science. Second, father was the most obvious counselor to cover for mother, on the hand, teacher was the worst counselor to cover for mother on the career counseling network. The gifted students group of science had less difficulty to cover for mother than the general students group. While teacher had the highest limits to information exchange on the career counseling network in both groups, mother had the lowest limits. As the result, we can conclude that mother played a key role on the career counseling network in gifted students of science and general students, while teachers was excluded from the career counseling network of students. Therefore, it is necessary to connect systematically parents with teachers for leading effectively students to their career; also government needs to build a career counseling system for this.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze current status and teacher librarians' perceptions of school library space composition and indoor environment, and propose some methods for the school library to be a basic educational facility. The space most secured by the 126 teacher librarians who participated in the survey was the free reading area, and the space with the lowest level was the media production and group project area. The most important types of spaces for teacher librarians are the teaching area and the free reading area, while the recognition of the importance of media production and group project areas is relatively low. Among the elements of indoor environmental assessment, they showed that safety and comfort were the most important but diversity and flexibility were relatively less important. The result of this analysis is different from the school and library policy direction that emphasizes the learning commons and maker spaces. Teacher librarians still seem to appreciate the importance of traditional library space. Therefore, it is necessary to include the establishment and operation of maker spaces and learning commons in the teacher librarians training and retraining process. In addition, it is necessary to increase the participation of users such as teachers, students, and parents in space composition and interior design initiatives to increase the user's interior environment satisfaction.

Young Mi(1998)'s assessment tool of home care need. modified by the researcher in the questionnaire by a Likert rating scale. The period of data collection was from February 8. 2000 to March 10. 2000. Collected data was analyzed by SPSS, using mean, standard deviation. ANOVA, t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. The result of this research was that there was not a significant correlation between the burden on the care giver and the level of dementia, its duration, the patient's ability to perform daily tasks, the period of care giving. and the use of social services, although the lower the patient's ability to perform daily tasks. and the worse the care giver's own health situation, the higher the burden on the primary family care giver. The following suggestions are made based on the results of this research. 1. More than half of the subjects don't use social facilities and services. More publicity and referral efforts are needed about medical institutions. nursing institutions and other facilities that specialize in services for dementia sufferers and their families. 2. Nursing services should include intensive education for the primary care giver in the most important aspects of home care. 3. Dietary habits including dietary attitude and behavior were investigated using questionnaire answered by mothers of 680 subjects aged 4 to 6 years old (508 completed). Also, dietary intake survey using 24-hour recall method was performed by mothers of the children. According to WLI, the underweight, normal, overweight and obesity level of subjects were 9.1, 62.0, 19.5, and 9.4%, respectively. There were significantly different on overeating, eating fast, and preferring eating-out by body weight status, and overweight group got higher score than underweight or normal-weight group (p < 0.01, p < 0.001). As well, there was significantly different on not moving around during mealtime by body weight status, and underweight group have lower score than obese group (p < 0.001). From the 24-hour recall survey, it was found that intakes of all the nutrients were higher than the %KDRI except energy, calcium and folate. The energy intake of underweight group of 4~5-year old (1338.2 kcal) and 6-year old was lower than Koreans %DRI for those age group. Folate and dietary fiber intakes of obese group were significantly lower than underweight (p < 0.01, p < 0.05). For 4~5-year old, vitamin $B_6$ intakes of obese group were significantly higher than obese group (p < 0.05). For 6-year old, obese group showed that intake of vitamin $B_1$ was significantly higher than the other three groups, and intake of vitamin $B_1$ of overweight group was significantly higher than the other three groups. Taken together, these results indicate that there were significant differences in the nutrient intake level and dietary habits of preschool children by body weight status in Daegu area. Therefore, parents (family) and caregivers should be aware of the prevalence of obesity and nutritional status of preschool children, and start nutrition education as soon as possible.

Therefore, in preventing obesity in elementary school children the treating of under-weight children should be included in the obesity program so as to prevent mal-nutrition or deficiency. It is needed to instruct obese children to carry out intensive work-outs at least 3 times a week through systematic programs. It is also needed that parents and teachers educate elementary school children from an early age with information on the frequency and intensity of work-outs to prevent obesity.
