  • The active promotion of construction technology application, aimed at cost reduction, construction time shortening, and performance enhancement during the implementation of Value Engineering (VE) in design, is underway. However, in the process of deriving VE ideas, it is common to simply reuse VE ideas from similar past construction projects, and the application of construction technology is often insufficient. Therefore, in this study, we intend to establish a database linking construction technology information with Building Information Modeling (BIM) models to activate the application of construction technology in the process of deriving VE ideas.

Round robin analysis to investigate sensitivity of analysis results to finite element elastic-plastic analysis variables for nuclear safety class 1 components under severe seismic load

  • As a part of round robin analysis to develop a finite element elastic-plastic seismic analysis procedure for nuclear safety class 1 components, a series of parametric analyses was carried out on the simulated pressurizer surge line system model to investigate sensitivity of the analysis results to finite element analysis variables. The analysis on the surge line system model considered dynamic effect due to the seismic load corresponding to PGA 0.6 g and elastic-plastic material behavior based on the Chaboche combined hardening model. From the parametric analysis results, it was found that strains such as accumulated equivalent plastic strain and equivalent plastic strain are more sensitive to the analysis variables than von Mises effect stress. The parametric analysis results also identified that finite element density and ovalization option in the elbow elements have more significant effect on the analysis results than the other variables.

  • Multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW) method has exhibited broad application prospects in the nondestructive detection of interfacial debonding in steel-concrete composite structures (SCCS). However, due to the structural diversity of SCCS and the high stealthiness of interfacial debonding defects, the feasibility of MASW method needs to be investigated in depth. In this study, synthetic parametric study on MASW nondestructive debonding detection for SCCSs is performed. The aim is to quantitatively analyze influential factors with respect to structural composition of SCCS and MASW measurement mode. First, stress wave composition and propagation process in SCCS are studied utilizing 2D numerical simulation. For structural composition in SCCS, the thickness variation of steel plate, concrete core, and debonding defects are discussed. To determine the most appropriate sensor arrangement for MASW measurement, the effects of spacing and number of observation points, along with distances between excitation points, nearest boundary, as well as the first observation point, are analyzed individually. The influence of signal type and frequency of transient excitation on dispersion figures from forwarding analysis is studied to determine the most suitable excitation signal. The findings from this study can provide important theoretical guidance for MASW-based interfacial debonding detection for SCCS. Furthermore, they can be instrumental in optimizing both the sensor layout design and signal choice for experimental validation.

데이터 손실이 있는 RCS 데이터에서 압축 센싱 이론을 적용한 ISAR 영상 복원 알고리즘 연구 (A Study on the ISAR Image Reconstruction Algorithm Using Compressive Sensing Theory under Incomplete RCS Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 불완전한 radar-cross-section(RCS) 데이터로부터 inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) 영상 복원과 동시에 표적의 회전각도를 추정하기 위한 compressive sensing(CS) 기반의 레이더 신호 모델을 적용한 parametric sparse 복원 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. Sparse 복원 알고리즘으로는 iteratively-reweighted-least-square(IRLS) 기법을 이용하여 각도 방향(cross-range)에서 모르는 처프 비율(chirp rate)의 처프 성분을 포함하는 레이더 신호 모델과 결합한다. 그리고, particle swarm optimization(PSO) 최적화 알고리즘을 이용하여 표적의 회전각도와 연관된 파라미터들을 추출한다. 따라서, RCS 데이터 샘플에 데이터 손실이 발생하더라도 본 논문의 IRLS 기반 parametric sparse 복원 알고리즘에 따라 효율적으로 ISAR 영상을 복원할 수 있고, 동시에 표적의 회전각도를 추정할 수 있다. 또한, 불완전한 RCS 데이터 샘플에 대하여 영상의 엔트로피 관점에서 본 논문에서 제안한 방법의 성능과 전통적인 보간법의 성능을 서로 비교 관찰한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전편의 논문에서 제시한 힌지연결부를 갖는 쉘해석모델을 이용하여 변수연구를 수행하였다. 주요변수에는 중차량 통과에 의하여 발생한 원지반의 영구변형 폭, 되메움, 강재매트의 등가두께 및 강재매트의 이방성 특성이 고려되었다. 이러한 주요변수들이 롤타입강재매트의 수직처짐, 회전변위 및 모멘트와 응력에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 차륜하중에 의하여 발생한 동토의 영구소성변형으로 인하여 매우 큰 수직처짐과 허용휨인장강도를 초과하는 인장응력이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문제는 되메움 또는 강재매트의 등가두께를 증가시킴으로서 쉽게 해결될 수 있다.

Picosecond Mid-Infrared 3.8 ㎛ MgO:PPLN Optical Parametric Oscillator Laser with High Peak Power

  • In this study, a compact, picosecond, mid-infrared 3.8 ㎛ MgO:PPLN optical parametric oscillator (OPO) laser output with high peak power is realized using a master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) 1 ㎛ solid-state laser seeded by a picosecond fiber laser as the pump source. The pump source was a 50 MHz and 10 ps fiber seed source. After AOM pulse selection and two-stage solid-state amplification, a 1,064 nm laser output with a repetition frequency of 1-2 MHz, pulse width of 9.5 ps, and a maximum average power of 20 W was achieved. Furthermore, a compact short cavity with a unsynchronized pump is adopted through the design of an OPO cavity structure. When the injection pump power was 15 W and the repetition frequency was 1 MHz, the average output power of idler light was 1.19 W, and the corresponding peak power was 119 kW. The optical conversion efficiency was 7.93%. When the repetition frequency was increased to 2 MHz, the average output power of idler light was 1.63 W, the corresponding peak power was 81.5 kW, and the optical conversion efficiency was 10.87%. At the same time, the output wavelength was measured at 3,806 nm, and the beam quality was MX2 = 3.21 and MY2 = 3.34.

회절광학소자 제작을 위한 레이저 직접 노광기의 공정실험 (Parametric Study for a Diffraction Optics Fabrication by Using a Direct Laser Lithographic System)

  • A direct laser lithography system is widely used to fabricate various types of DOEs (Diffractive Optical Elements) including lenses made as CGH (Computer Generated Hologram). However, a parametric study that uniformly and precisely fabricates the diffractive patterns on a large area (up to $200mm{\times}200mm$) has not yet been reported. In this paper, four parameters (Focal Position Error, Intensity Variation of the Lithographic Beam, Patterning Speed, and Etching Time) were considered for stabilization of the direct laser lithography system, and the experimental results were presented.

  • In this paper, a parametric evaluation method of protection ability is proposed. The adequacy of every parameter is evaluated for the setting rules. Then the results are combined to give protection level of a whole protective system. The setting rules are categorized into three groups for hierarchical calculation. The proposed scheme is applied to a location problem of a new protective device to show its effectiveness.

Development of an Open BIM-Based Korean Traditional House Component Library Using an XML Parametric Information Approach

  • With the rapid development of computer technology and ongoing destruction of traditional buildings, more and more attention is paid to digital methods for the design and preservation of traditional buildings. Unlike 2D methods, Building Information Modeling (BIM) provides an object-oriented and parametric digital representation way for traditional building components. However, one of the main limitations currently is that parametric information cannot be exchanged between BIM software packages. Therefore each kind of software must have their own parametric library which causes extensive works. In this research, the authors developed an open BIM-based library using an XML parametric approach to solve the above problems, represented traditional components according to an XML schema, and parametrically implemented these XML files in a browser which can be accessed by users for their easy component edit and selection. And then based on the XML file of one component, implemented an Add-on in ArchiCAD for users to parametrically edit and directly utilize. Thus based on these XML files, a browser for users' view and selection purpose and an add-on for users' application purpose were developed. Future research will focus on implementing these XML files in other BIM tools like Revit and Digital Project. If the whole library was to be completed based on this XML approach, an open BIM-based library would be established that all kinds of BIM software users could apply this parametric library for easy modeling of traditional houses.

고지향 수중 통신을 위한 파라메트릭 어레이 트랜스듀서의 설계 및 개발 연구 (Design and Development Research of a Parametric Array Transducer for High Directional Underwater Communication)

  • 파라메트릭 어레이(parametric array)는 매질의 비선형성을 이용하여 고지향성 저주파를 발생시키는 현상이다. 발생된 저주파는 직접 발생된 1차 음파에 비해 음압이 상대적으로 매우 작다. 따라서 강력한 1차 음파를 지향성 있게 발생시킬 수 있는 트랜스듀서가 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 파라메트릭 어레이를 위한 음원으로써 다공진 트랜스듀서의 설계, 제작, 시험평가에 대해 연구하였다. 유닛 트랜스듀서 및 배열 트랜스듀서의 설계를 해석 모델에 근거하여 수행하였으며, 이 과정을 반복하여 최적의 트랜스듀서를 제작하였다. 제작된 배열 트랜스듀서는 6.3 m 거리에서 각각 189 dB, 190 dB의 1차 음파를 확인하였으며, 파라메트릭 어레이 현상을 이용하여 136 dB의 차주파수음 발생을 확인하였다. 차주파수음은 $12{\times}18{\times}10m$크기의 수조에서 15 kHz, $8^{\circ}$ half power beamwidth의 고지향성 저주파 특성을 가지고 있음을 확인하였다.
