  • This Paper described the hish performance position control for elevator using induction motor and driver. In this paper, the suitable Motor specifications for elevator drive are briefly discussed and high accuracy position control for both kinds of control method is analysed considering the parameter variation in the primary and secondary resistances. Since the pre-identified values of the motor constants are used to determine the control inputs, the performance degradation is caused by the parameter variation such as in the motor resistance. Particularly, the value of secondary resistance is considered significant because the control gain to determine the slip frequency is heavily dependent on that. The new proposed method uses on special small input signal for the parameter indentification and is expected to have the high accuracy position.

  • This paper proposes an effective self-turning algorithm based on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for fuzzy speed control of the indirect vector controlled induction motor. Indirect vector control method divides and controls stator current by the flux and the torque producing current so that the dynamic characteristic of induction motor may be superior. However, if motor parameter changes, the flux current and the torque producing one's coupling happens and deteriorates the dynamic characteristic. The fuzzy speed controller of an induction motor has the robustness over the effect of this parameter variation than a conventional PI speed controller in some degree. This paper improves its adaptability by adding the self-tuning mechanism to the fuzzy controller. For tracking the speed command, its membership functions are adjusted using ANN adaptation mechanism. This adaptability could be embodied by moving the center positions of the membership functions. Proposed self-tuning method has wide adaptability than existent fuzzy controller or PI controller and is proved robust about parameter variation through Matlab/Simulink simulation.

  • Improving the recognition performance of connected digit telephone speech still remains a problem to be solved. As a basic study for it, this paper analyzes the variation of feature parameters of Korean digit telephone speech according to channel distortion. As a feature parameter for analysis and recognition MFCC is used. To analyze the effect of telephone channel distortion depending on each call, MFCCs are first obtained from the connected digit telephone speech for each phoneme included in the Korean digit. Then CMN, RTCN, and RASTA are applied to the MFCC as channel compensation techniques. Using the feature parameters of MFCC, MFCC+CMN, MFCC+RTCN, and MFCC+RASTA, variances of phonemes are analyzed and recognition experiments are done for each case. Experimental results are discussed with our findings and discussions

  • The present paper reports the comparative optical behavior of a pure nematic mixture E-24 and its anthraquinone dye doped sample. The variation in the ordinary and extraordinary refractive index ($n_o$, $n_e$) of the pure and dye doped samples with temperature has been discussed and it has been found that doped sample have a less refractive index compared to the pure sample. The variation in the order parameter for pure and doped samples with temperature has been discussed and it has been seen that the doped sample has a higher order parameter; the possible reasons have been discussed. The variations in birefringence and optical transmittance have also been presented here.

  • Generally PI controller is used in the servo system, But the time response of the system which is designed by the PI control scheme is deviated from the desired time response by the system parameter variation or the perturbation like the torque disturbance. LMFC(Linear Model Following Controller) is used to make the response of the system follow that of the model even though the parameter variation or the perturbation exists. In this paper, the design method which uses auxiliary model to construct the robustness enhancer in LMFC is proposed. And this robustness enhancer is designed by robust control theory. The proposed method has facter convergence time against low frequency torque disturbance than LMFC. The results are verified by SIMULINK simulation and experiments.

  • In this paper, we implement the photoplethysmo-graphy system that have three channel pulse wave detects and one channel ECG amplifier. In order to detect the artery state, we measured the pulse waves at different positions, simultaneously. In general, arterial vascular system suffers the decrease of compliance, increase of resistance, and decrease of distensibility through aging. Therefore, we compared and analyzed variation of tile Pulse waves parameter both in time and frequency domains that is concerned with the changes of arterial characteries. And then evaluated the correlation coefficients between the parameters variation and the age group. As the result of experiment, we found that the Parameters have a significant correlation about aging.

  • A modeling method for the vibration analysis of rotating cantilever plastes with stiffeners is presented. The equations of motion for the plates aer derived and trnasformed into a dimensionless form. A mass density Dirac's delta function is used to idealize the stiffener mathematically. The effects of stiffeners on the model characteristics of the plate are investigated, and mode shape variations due to some parameter variation are exhibited. It is found that veering phenomena occur between some loci and associated mode shapes change significantly during the veering phenomena.

  • This paper described the effect of subjective approach in case of the human sensibility experiments. The procedure is proceeded subjectively. Human faces are selected as the image presentation media. Pleasant and unpleasant images are selected directly by examiner, And also the image presentation system, which is executed with a computer and has the square-type black box monitor equipment, is manufactured. Images are presented with the step-variation time interval technique. questionnaire test and EEG signal detection data are analyzed. The analysis parameters are a “frequency band integral value” and a “band differential variation ratio”. he results show the high sensibility and fast response. The fact that image presenting repetition alleviates is verified.

  • This paper shows the analysis of the inductive power transfer system in conjunction with series resonant converter operating variable high frequency. Of particular interest is the sensitivity of the complete system to variations in operational frequency and parameters. In inductive power transfer system, electrical power is transferred from a primary winding in the form of a coil or track, to one or more isolated pick-up coils that may relative to the primary. The ability to transmit power without contact enables high reliability and easy maintenance that allows inductive power transfer system to be implemented in hostile environments. This technology has found application in many fields such as electric vehicles, PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) etc. The coupling between the primary and secondary is then presented to include the effects of parameter and operational frequency variation.
