  • Recently, with the development of computer, FEM has became the most frequently used numerical analysis method. FEM shows great ability in structures analysis, however, Galerkin's Method is more useful in grasping influence or the tendency of parameter which forms the structure. This paper perform the eigenvalue analysis using Galerkin's Method which is advantageous in grasping the influence and the tendency of parameter which forms the structure and study on the influence of parameter that forms arch on natural frequency response.

  • This study intends to examine the influencing factors in conformity and individuality of make up. For the study, a questionnaire survey was conducted of 436 women in between their twenties to fifties residing in the Kyeongnam region. Obtained data were analyzed pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The result is summarized as follows.; The influence on conformity and individuality of make up can be described into 4 factors that are included in the decision making process of conformity and individuality, in other words, the demographical characteristic, the body cathexis, the need and the clothing value. The demographic characteristics, the marriage status and the education had a direct influence on conformity, however the body cathexis did not have a direct influence on any subordinate factors of conformity and individuality, but had indirect influence having the need as a parameter or had no influence having the clothing value as a parameter.

  • In this work, the Greitzer's B-parameter model is applied for analyzing the stall and surge characteristics. The four parameters in the model are highlighted in order to establish the influence of each parameter on the system. First of all, the governing equations of stall and surge behavior are solved numerically using fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. The Taguchi method is then used to analyze the results generated to obtain the extent of effects of the parameters on the system by varying the parameters in a series of combinations. Finally, a thorough analysis is carried out on the results generated from the Taguchi method and the graphs.

  • In this article, free vibration of double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNT) based on nonlocal Kelvin's model have been investigated. For this purpose, a nonlocal Kelvin's model is established to observe the small scale effect. The wave propagation is employed to frame the governing equations as eigenvalue system. The influence of nonlocal parameter subjected to different end supports has been overtly examined. The new set of inner and outer tubes radii investigated in detail against aspect ratio. The influence of boundary conditions via nonlocal parameter is shown graphically. Due to small scale effect fundamental frequency ratio decreases as length to diameter ratio increases. Small scale effect becomes negligible on all end supports for the higher values of aspect ratio. With the smaller inner tube radius double-walled CNT behaves more sensitive towards nonlocal parameter. The results generated furnish the evidence regarding applicability of nonlocal model and also verified by earlier published literature.

  • In this paper nonlocal free vibration analysis of a doubly curved piezoelectric nano shell is studied. First order shear deformation theory and nonlocal elasticity theory is employed to derive governing equations of motion based on Hamilton's principle. The doubly curved piezoelectric nano shell is resting on Pasternak's foundation. A parametric study is presented to investigate the influence of significant parameters such as nonlocal parameter, two radii of curvature, and ratio of radius to thickness on the fundamental frequency of doubly curved piezoelectric nano shell.

  • Cook's distance(Cook, 1997) is one of the most widely used influence measures to assess the influence of single observations or sets of observations in the linear regression model. After computing Cook(1977) suggested guidelines based on a confidence ellipsoid for the regression parameter ${\beta}$. In this paper, we suggest cutoff values for Cook's distance cia Monte Carlo simulation, and compare them with Cook's guidelines. An example based on a real data set is given.

  • Spandex fibers have superior stretch and elastic recovery ability. Composite yarns containing spandex are frequently used to manufacture elastic textile products and accessories. We have developed a composite yarn spinning system that produces different kinds of composite yarns containing spandex on a modified open-end rotor spinning frame. By changing the twisting parameter of composite yarns, we studied the structure and properties of rotor-spun composite yarns with spandex. The results indicate that the twisting parameter has great influence on the structure and properties of rotor-spun composite yarns with spandex. The linear density of spandex filament has influence on the properties of composite yarns too. In comparison with normal rotor-spun yarn, the appearance of composite yarns is clearer, the structure is much tighter, and the properties are improved.

  • This paper examined the MHD and thermal behavior of unsteady mixed convection flow of a rotating fluid in a porous parallel plate channel in the presence of Hall current and heat source. The exact solutions of the concentration, energy and momentum equations are obtained. The influence of each governing parameter on non dimensional velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction coefficient, rate of heat transfer and rate of mass transfer at the porous parallel plate channel surfaces is discussed. During the course of numerical computation, it is observed that as Hall current parameter and Soret number at the porous channel surfaces increases, the primary and secondary velocity profiles are increases while the primary and secondary skin friction coefficients are increases at the cold wall and decreases at the heated wall. In particular, it is noticed that a reverse trend in case of heat source parameter.

  • A single outlier can influence on the least squares estimators and can invalidate analysis based on these estimators. The Cook's statistic has been introduced to measure influence of individual data point on parameter estimation and the quantile of the F distribution is recommended as a reference value. but in practice subjective judgement is applied in the choice of appropriate quantile. A simple reference value is introduced in this paper which is developed by approximating conditional quantities of Cook's measure. The performance of the proposed criterion is evaluated through analysis of real data set.

  • The purpose of this study to examine the relevant factors in tool and fashion of make up. For the study, a questionnaire survey was conducted of 436 women in between their twenties to fifties residing in the Kyeongnam region. Obtained data were analyzed pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows.; The influence on tool and fashion of make up can be described into 4 factors that are included in the decision making process of tool and fashion, in other words, the demographical characteristic, the body cathexis, the need and the clothing value. Among these factors, the beauty need and the political value were proved to be more important. The demographic characteristics, the media contact had a direct influence on tool, and the occupation status had a direct influence on fashion. The body cathexis did not have a direct influence on any subordinate factors of tool and fashion, but had indirect influence having the need as a parameter or had no influence having the clothing value as a parameter.
