등온 수직 평판에서의 혼합대류 열전달 (Mixed convection from two isothermal, vertical, parallel plates)

  • 본 연구에서는 두 개의 수직 등온 평판이 평행하게 배열된 경우의 혼합대류 열전달에 대하여 무차원 평판 간격, b/l와 Grashof수, 레이놀즈수를 변수로 유한차분 법을 사용 수치해석하고, 두평판사잉의 간섭현상과 열전달을 최대로 하는 최적 평판간 격을 구하였다.

  • A fin of finite width with infinitely small thickness is assumed to be placed horizontally between two horizontal parallel plates of infinite extension in the exactly central position. The lower plate and the half of the upper plate are kept at a constant lower temperature, and the remaining upper plate is kept at a constant higher temperature. The fin is also kept at a constant temperature (variable). Steady-state two-dimensional laminar natural convection is analyzed as a problem of boundary value under a boundary-fitted conformal mapping system, using a spectral finite difference scheme, with a condition of doubly-connectedness. The steady-state solution is obtained as a limit of the transient solution.

  • Dielectrically filled parallel-plate waveguide with finite number of periodic slots in its upper plate as a leaky wave antenna is analysed for E-polarization case. The integro-differential equation whose unknown is the slot equivalent magnetic current over the slot is formulated and solved by use of Galerkin's method. From knowledge of the equivalent magnetic current, the propagation constant and radiation pattern for the finite periodic structure are determined and compared with the results of the infinite case. Good correspondence between them is observed.

  • This study was experimentally performed to investigate sea water freezing behavior along parallel cooled plate with bubbly flow. The experiments were carried out for a variety of parameter, such as sea water velocity, air-bubble flow rate, and cooled-plate temperature. The shape of freezing layer, freezing rate and salinity of frozen layer were observed and measured. It was found that the experimental parameters gave a great influence on the freezing rate and the salinity of the frozen layer.

  • A parallel-plate waveguide with a slit in its upper plate is analysed. The magnetic current induced in the slit is obtained by making use of the conventional moment method. From knowledge of the magnetic current, quantities of interest such as reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient are computed.

공기식 평행판형 태양집열기 성능실험 (Performance Tests on Parallel Plate Type Solar Air Heater)

  • This study was concerned with the performance of solar air heater using parallel channels. Heat transmission model was developed and fabricated to increase the economic feasibility for solar heating system by using the cheap zinc plate. The prformance was discussed as a function of mass flow rate, and plate, inlet and outlet temperatures. Experimental results show that heat transmission model is sufficient for the analysis of thermal characteristics of air heater and collection efficiency is better than the domestic water heater, as the range 32-49 percent. Collection efficiency in the 2 layers of glass cover is better than that in 1 layer, so it is considered better to use the 2 layers of glass cover during the cold winter season in Korea.

  • The problem considered is the buckling of a rectangular orthotropic plate, tapered in thickness in a direction parallel to two sides and compressed in that direction. Curves are presented showing the variation of buckling stress coefficient with the special loads. The type of thickness variation is exponential. While this paper is presented how to design for an efficient orthotropic plate taper from physical consideration.

병렬프로세서를 이용한 원전 격납건물의 항공기 충돌해석 (Numerical Analysis of Nuclear-Power Plant Subjected to an Aircraft Impact using Parallel Processor)

  • 본 논문에서는 항공기 충돌에 의한 원전 격납건물의 거동을 병렬해석을 통해 수행하였다. 지금까지의 원전 격납건물에 대한 항공기 충돌관련 연구는 항공기의 경우, Riera의 충격하중-시간함수를 이상화하여 대상 구조체의 일정영역에 대해 충격하중으로 적용하는 방법을 사용해 왔고 충돌대상 구조체의 경우, 단순 철근콘크리트 벽체나 빌딩에 머물러 왔다. 하지만 본 논문에서는 항공기(Boeing-767, http://www.boeing.com)와 가상의 원전 격납건물을 실제와 유사하게 모델링하여 해석을 수행하였으며, 항공기모델은 충돌평가 가이드인 NEI 07-13(2009)에서 허용하는 Riera의 식에 따른 충돌하중이력곡선과 비교하는 방법으로 검증되었다. 또한, 일반적으로 고속 충돌해석은 짧은 시간동안 두 개 이상의 물체가 접촉하고 동적 대변형을 일으키는 비선형성이 강한 문제로 많은 계산시간이 요구되기 때문에 이를 효과적으로 다루기 위해서는 단일 CPU만으로는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 해석의 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 자체 구축한 리눅스 클러스터 시스템을 이용하여 Message-Passing MIMD 형태의 병렬해석을 수행하였고 병렬성능에 대한 평가를 위해 무근콘크리트(Plain Concrete, PC), 철근콘크리트(Reinforced Concrete, RC), 내부 Liner Plate를 부착한 철근콘크리트(RC with Containment Liner Plate, CLP), SC구조(Steel-Plate Concrete, SC)등 4가지 경우에 대한 수치해석 효율성이 비교 검토되었다.

  • The evaluation of parallel performance of a high speed impact simulation is not an easy task because not only the development of parallel explicit code is difficult but also a large number of processors is not easily accessible. In this paper, the parallel performance of a new Lagrangian FEM impact code carried out on cluster supercomputer has been described in high speed range. In the case of metal sphere impacting to oblique plate, the overall speed-up continuously increases even up to 128 CPUs. Investigation of elapsed time of each part reveals that most of the inefficiency comes from the load imbalance of contact.
