본 논문은 공유 및 분산 메모리 구조를 가진 병렬 컴퓨터의 프로그래밍 환경을 지원하기 위하여 ParaC 언어를 설계하고 구현한 내용을 기술한다. ParaC 언어는 확장성 높은 병렬 컴퓨터의 시스템 자원을 사용자가 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 이것은 C 언어에 공유 메모리 환경을 위한 병렬 구문과 동기화 구문, 그리고 분산 메모리 환경을 위한 원격 태스크 구문을 추가함으로써 이루어졌다. 언어의 구현을 위하여 C 언어로의 번역 방법을 기술하였으며, 이 방법을 사용한 번역기와 확장 구문을 위한 실행시간 라이브러리를 구현하였다.

이 연구는 합창에 영향을 미치는 비언어 커뮤니케이션 가운데 가사의 의미 형성에 핵심적인 요소인 유사 언어의 효율적 활용 방안을 모색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 커뮤니케이션에서 유사언어는 언어가 가진 의미를 더욱 풍부하게 표현할 수 있게 해주는 비언어적 요소로, 합창에서는 가사의 발성과 딕션이 대표적인 유사언어이다. 그런데 그동안은 합창의 음악적 표현을 강조하면서 발성을 중시한 나머지 딕션은 상대적으로 소홀히 함으로써 합창에서 표현하고자 하는 가사의 의미가 청중에게 효과적으로 전달되지 못하는 경우가 많았다. 그러나 합창에서 발성은 딕션과 별개의 것이 아니라 서로 조화를 이루어야 음악적인 차원에서뿐 아니라 커뮤니케이션 차원에서도 완성도가 높은 합창연주가 가능하다. 이 연구는 합창 지휘자로서의 활동 경험과 커뮤니케이션에 대한 이론적 지식을 토대로 한국어 합창에서 활용할 수 있는 효과적인 딕션 방법을 제시하고 있다.

웹 기술의 변화발전 동향을 파악하는 것은 지리정보의 웹 공유에 있어서 우선적으로 고려되어야 할 사항 중의 하나이다. 시맨틱 웹은 컴퓨터가 정보를 보여주는 것에 그치지 않고 정보를 이해하도록 하는 방법론 및 기술로서, 기존의 웹과 온톨로지의 결합을 통해 이루어진다. 개념화의 명시적인 사양이라고 정의되는 온톨로지와 이에 기반한 시맨틱 웹은 지리정보의 효과적인 공유와 검색을 위해 활용될 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 모바일 웹 상에서 사용자의 행동맥락에 부합되는 관광정보를 제공하기 위한 시맨틱 웹 서비스에 대해 논의한다. 이를 위해 관광지, 관광자원, 관광객의 활동 등이 체계적으로 개념화 및 조직화된 PARA(Place-Attraction-Resource-Activity) 온톨로지 모형을 구축하고, 관광객의 이동을 고려하기 위하여 관광지와 연결된 전철 네트웍을 이 모형에 결합시킨다. XML(Extensible Markup Language) 웹 서비스는 클라이언트의 요청과 이에 따른 서버의 응답을 중개하는 역할을 하는데, PARA 온톨로지 모형과 연동되는XML 웹 서비스를 통해 개념기반의 관광정보 발견이 가능하도록 한다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 시스템은 도쿄 관광정보의 검색 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 가용성이 테스트되었다.

Luis Humberto Crosthwaite, as a witness to the accelerated changes in Tijuana since the 80's, has built a chronicle of the city based on nostalgia, fantasy, popular language, music, and criticism of the inequality between both sides of the border, but above all, on humour and irony. Among the gallery of characters that populate his stories, the common resident of the border has a special place. Here we are not talking about the passing person or newcomers, but of those who have shaped their social and personal identity from a long every day relationship with the city and the borderline, which makes up what we will call the border-being. In this work, we dialogue with the psychoanalytic concept of border personality or borderline disorder, which refers in a general way to subjects with a deep fracture between the self and the being, which prompts a psychotic search to reconcile this division. In addition, we will engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue to analyse how Crosthwaite characterises the fracture of the border-subjects in some of the stories of the book Instrucciones para cruzar la frontera, to point out the psychosis caused by the sociocultural tensions of life in a border city like Tijuana.

이 연구는 치과의료서비스 품질이 서비스 가치, 고객만족도, 고객충성도에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 부산 울산광역시 소재 17개 치과병 의원에 내원한 환자 221명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 조사한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 치과의료서비스 품질 중 의사언어에 대한 인식의 차이는 남자가 여자에 비해 높았으며, 교육수준에 따른 신체언어에 대한 인식의 차이와 신체외형에 대한 인식의 차이는 대학교 재학 및 졸업자가 높았다. 2. 서비스 가치, 고객만족도 및 고객충성도는 남자, 대학교 재학 및 졸업, 기혼에서 서비스 가치, 고객만족도, 고객충성도의 점수가 높게 나타났으나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다. 치과의료서비스 품질과 서비스 가치, 고객만족도 및 고객충성도는 서로 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 의료서비스 품질 중 의사언어와 언어적 커뮤니케이션에 대한 인식도가 증가할수록 서비스 가치가 증가하였고, 언어적 커뮤니케이션과 신체외형의 인식도가 증가할수록 고객만족도는 증가하였으며, 언어적 커뮤니케이션, 신체외형, 신체언어에 대한 인식도가 증가하면 고객충성도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 치과의료서비스를 제공 시 서비스 제공자가 고객의 욕구에 맞춰 상세히 설명을 해주어야 서비스 가치를 높게 평가하며, 서비스에 만족을 느껴 타인에게 긍정적인 입소문을 내게 된다. 고객의 욕구에 맞는 상세한 설명뿐만 아니라 서비스 제공자의 깔끔한 유니폼, 바른 자세, 깔끔한 헤어 스타일 등의 신체적 외형과 고객의 눈을 바라보면서 밝은 표정을 짓고 대화 시 고개를 끄덕이는 등의 공감을 표현해주어야 본인이 이용한 치과병 의원을 지속적으로 재이용하게 되고 타인에게 자랑 및 소개를 시켜주어 치과병 의원의 경영성과를 증대시킬 수 있을 것이다.

Prosodic features of speech are known to play an important role in the transmission of linguistic information in human conversation. Their roles in the transmission of para- and non- linguistic information are even much more. In spite of their importance in human conversation, from engineering viewpoint, research focuses are mainly placed on segmental features, and not so much on prosodic features. With the aim of promoting research works on prosody, a research project 'Prosody and Speech Processing' is now going on. A rough sketch of the project is first given in the paper. Then, the paper introduces several prosody-related research works, which are going on in our laboratory. They include, corpus-based fundamental frequency contour generation, speech rate control for dialogue-like speech synthesis, analysis of prosodic features of emotional speech, reply speech generation in spoken dialogue systems, and language modeling with prosodic boundaries.

In ubiquitous environments, many applications need to process data with time and space dimensions. Because of this, there is growing attention not only on gathering spatiotemporal data in ubiquitous environments, but also on processing such data in databases. In order to obtain the full benefits from spatiotemporal data, we need a data model that naturally expresses the properties of spatiotemporal data. In this paper, we introduce three spatiotemporal data models extended from temporal data models. The main goal of this paper is to determine which data model is less complex in the spatiotemporal context. To this end, we compare their query languages in the complexity aspect because the complexity of a query language is tightly coupled with its underlying data model. Throughout our investigations, we show that it is important to intertwine space and time dimensions and keep one-to-one correspondence between an object in the real world and a tuple in a database in order to naturally express queries in ubiquitous applications.

엘드리지-스미스가 제시한 피노키오 역설은 거짓말쟁이 역설과 같은 의미론적 역설의 변형이지만, 의미론적인 술어를 포함하고 있지 않다는 점에서 독특하다. 언어의 위계를 이용하여 의미론적 역설을 해결하려는 타르스키의 해결책이나, 진리 술어를 부분적으로 정의되는 것으로 보고 거짓말쟁이 문장에 대해서 진리 틈새를 인정하는 크립케의 초완전성 견해는 피노키오 역설에 대한 적절한 해결 방안이 아니다. 피노키오 역설을 통해서 양진주의에 대해서 비판하는 엘드리지-스미스의 시도가 성공적이지 않음과 함께 이 역설의 중요한 함축은 진리 술어에 관한 규칙이 비일관적이라는 것을 논증한다. 이 역설에 대한 적절한 진단은 이 역설을 낳는 피노키오 원리가 잠재적으로 비일관적임을 인정하는 것이고, 이 점은 거짓말쟁이 역설과 같은 의미론적 역설이 발생하는 이유는 진리 술어에 대한 규칙이 비일관적이기 때문이라는 점을 시사한다. 피노키오 역설을 통해서 우리가 알 수 있는 것은 의미론적 역설에 대한 진리 일관성주의적 해결책은 성공할 수 없고 진리 비일관성주의를 받아들여야 한다는 것이다.

In The Turn of the Screw, the go'erness encounters with the apparitions that harrow her throughout the story: she sees a frightening male ghost that Mrs. Grose identifies as Peter Quint, deceased former 'alet of the children's uncle, who had pre'iously shared the charge of the children with the pre'ious go'erness, Miss Jessel. The appearance of the ghosts hails the go'erness and thereby forces her to be jarred out of the comfortable habits of indi'iduality and plunged into a negati'ity de'oid of the socio-normati'e directi'es and guarantees. Such an encounter shows the idea that consciousness is a plenum of existence e'ocati'e of human mind as a decentered pandemonium. For the go'erness in The Turn of the Screw, the foundation to force her to experience the uncanny, as an inconsistency in the symbolic order, is particular. Its particularity is absolute in the same way e'ery one of us dreams his or her world. It resists mediation and cannot be made part of a symbolic medium. Just as Lacan's conceptions of desire, feminine sexuality, 'Object a,' not-whole, sla'ery, mastery, self-deception, authenticity, and act of psychoanalysis help us understand our contradictory social reality, so does The Turn of the Screw help us make sense of the way the go'erness, as the being who is capable of raising the question of being, questions the idea of being. In conclusion, the particular way the go'erness dreams her world is e'ocati'e of an excessi'e being, an anatomical complement, and a particular experience, such as the go'erness's encounter with the ghosts testifies to a knowledge that escapes the knowledge of the speaking being.
