유압압하식 자동두께제어장치의 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics of hydraulic automatic gauge control system for a reversing cold mill)

  • Recently, the necessity for more accurate automatic gauge control has increased of customers' requirement for cold rolled steel sheets with thinner gauge and better gauge quality. Therefore, many cold rolling mills replaced its electric screw down automatic gauge control system with a new hydraulic automatic gauge control system, to ensure closer gauge tolerance. In this paper, The performance of a hydraulic automatic gauge control system for cold rolling has been investigated under industrial conditions. It was investigated that variation of gauge deviation according to the final products thickness, cold rolling speed and pass number, in the actual rolling mill. As a result, it was found that the system enables strip thickness variation to be reduced substantially and caused by poor gauge deviation have been drastically decreased. The test results are as following. The more the exit steel strip thickness is thick, the smaller the aguge deviation rate is large, and the more it is thin, the large the gauge deviation rate is large. Because the gauge deviation is larger at accleration speed and deceleration speed than steady speed, so automatic gauge control system is better to adopt over 50m/min. automatic gauge control system reduces rapidly large thickness deviation.

Sizing Efficiency of AKD in Causticizing Calcium Carbonate Filled Paper

  • Causticizing calcium carbonate (CCC) is produced as a by-product in the causticization step of the kraft pulping process. It is often calcined in a rotary lime kiln after being dewatered and reused in the causticizing process. But for the China mill, the conventional recycled way is difficult because the CCC is mainly obtained from non-wood pulping materials, which higher silicon content led to serious silicon obstacle. So it is often discarded as solid waste or used in landfill after dewatering and secondary pollution is brought. In order to prevent its secondary pollution, recent years, the CCC is used as a filler in China papermaking industry. In mill trials, the CCC can be used to replace an amount of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC). Unfortunately, the application scope and dosage of CCC have been limited due to its lower sizing efficiency than PCC. In this study, the reason for the lower sizing efficiency of alkyl ketene dimer (AKD) when CCC was used as a filler was investigated. The results showed that the materials in green liquid, such as insoluble matter in green liquid, silicon and metal ions, were a little influence on the sizing efficiency of AKD. The higher BET and BJH pore volume of the CCC were the main reason for lower sizing efficiency of AKD when it was used as filler.

심층폭기(深層曝氣) 활성(活性)슬러지법(法)을 이용(利用)한 제지폐수(製紙廢水)의 생물학적(生物學的) 처리(處理)에 관한 연구(研究) (Treatment of Paper Mill Wastewater by the Deep Shaft Activated Sludge Process)

  • 활성(活性)슬러지법(法)에 의하여 고농도(高濃度) 유기성(有機性) 폐수(廢水)를 처리(處理)할 경우에 발생(發生)되는 문제점(問題點)은 폭기조내(曝氣槽內)의 미생물농도(微生物濃度)와 산소전달능력(酸素傳達能力)이 제한(制限)받고 있는 점이다. 이러한 문제점(問題點)을 극복(克服)하기 위하여 높은 산소전달능력(酸素傳達能力)을 나타내는 심층폭기(深層曝氣) 활성(活性)슬러지법이(法) 폐수처리현장(廢水處理現場)에 적용(適用)되고 있다. 따라서 본(本) 연구(研究)는 심층폭기(深層爆氣) 활성(活性)슬러지법(法)의 액체순환특성(液體循環特性)과 산소전달특성(酸素傳達特性) 및 제지폐수(製紙廢水)의 유기물(有機物) 제거특성(除去特性)에 대하여 연구(研究)하게 되었다. 연구결과(研究結果), 심층폭기장치(深層曝氣裝置)는 일반(一般) 산기식(散氣式) 폭기장치(曝氣裝置)에 비하여 산소전달능력(酸素傳達能力)이 매우 높고 순산소(純酸素) 폭기법(曝氣法)과 거의 같은 산소전달특성(酸素傳達特性)을 나타낸다. 또 폭기조내(曝氣槽內) 미생물농도(微生物濃度)와 유기물부하(有機物負荷)를 높게 유지할 수 있어 고농도(高濃度) 유기성(有機性) 폐수(廢水)를 처리(處理)할 수 있었다.

삽수 저장법과 용토 종류가 구기자 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Growth Enhancement by Storage and Soil Types of Cutting Slips in Lycium chinense Mill)

  • The objective of this study was to establish the optical storage condition in cutting slips of Lycium chinense Mill. We investigated the different influential growth factor of this plant including two soil types (soil and vermiculite) and storage methods (gauze, parafilm, vinyl, and paper). Our result revealed that the formation of axillary bud was highest ($4.8{\pm}0.75ea$) from the cutting slips stored in vinyl and vermiculite treatment. Root length was long ($2.8{\pm}0.13ea$) in parafilm storage using soil. Maximum plant height was $135.33{\pm}12.81cm$ with gauze storage using vermiculite. The number of leaves was maximum ($130{\pm}2.5ea$) at 90 days from the cutting slips of gauze storage using vermiculite. Highest number of fruit was harvested ($149{\pm}16.05ea$) from the cutting slips stored in parafilm and grown in vermiculite. It can be concluded that the storage treatment and soil type influence the affecting to general growth of Lycium chinense Mill.

  • Condebelt drying provides opportunities not only of improving the strength properties and saving of drying energy but also of reducing the basis weight or increasing the utilization of recycled furnishes. In this paper general overview of the Condebelt press drying will be described and the effects of the process variables in Condebelt press drying including drying temperature, pressure, drying time and moisture content of the sheets on the paper properties is discussed. The experiment was performed with a static rig and Korean OCC was used as a principal raw material. Significant improvement in sheet density, compression strength, tensile strength, surface smoothness, etc. was obtained when Condebelt drying was applied. Control of pressure and inlet dryness was found to be very critical in improving sheet properties. Mill experiences from Dong Il Paper Mfg. Co., Ltd is briefly described.

  • The ultrasonic motor used here is the windmill type ultrasonic motor operated by single-phase AC source. A metal-ceramic composite component was used as the stator element to generate ultrasonic vibrations. The windmill type ultrasonic motors has only three components; a stator element of two wind-mill shape slotted metal endcaps, a rotor and a bearing. In this paper we proposed a system for torque measurement of piezoelectric ultrasonic motor.

  • 최근 들어 경제의 발전과 생활수준이 향상됨에 따라 악취는 소음과 함께 환경분야에 많은 민원을 야기하고 대기오염물질의 하나로 인식되고 있다. 특히 유황계 화합물을 대표하는 악취물질인 황화수소는 무색의 기체로써 부패한 계란 냄새가 나고 역치농도(Threshold Odor Value)가 0.00047ppm$_{v}$ 로 매우 낮은 농도에서도 취기를 감지할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 성질을 갖는 황화수소는 석유 화학공업이나 제지공업, 폐수처리장 그리고 폐기물 처리장 등에서 많이 발생하고 있다.(중략)

  • A set of approaches suggested to control the eccentricity is discussed in this paper. Among these, filter-integrator method is used to design the controller, which also includes the input signal synchronization, stabilizing filter and eccentricity source discrimination. Using the S/W that is coded for real time application of that controller, we simulated the operations of that one. The simulation results show the characteristics of eccentricity compensation and eccentricity discrimination. However, from these results, we can see that only proper stabilization strategy certificates the safe eccentricity control.
