합체박판 성형기법의 적용을 위한 자동차 도어의 구조 설계 (Structural Design of Door Assembly to Apply Tailor Welded Blanks Technique)

  • TWB(Tailor Welded Blanks) is one of the recent techniques to reduce the weight and cost of the body members. To apply the TWB technique, we must decide the position of the welding line and the thickness of the welded blanks. Although many researchers have tried to check the formability of welded blanks, there are not so many researches from the structural point of view. In this paper, the TWB technique is applied to combine the door inner panel and the hinge face panel into one piece. The finite element structural analysis of the door assembly leads to the final design of the tailor welded door inner panel, which shows the mass reduction of 1.08kg without the sacrifice of the structural stiffness. The structural stiffness analysis includes the frame stiffness analysis, the belt line stiffness analysis, the door sagging analysis and the vibration analysis.

  • 초소형 위성인 큐브위성의 경우 위성체의 제한적인 중량 및 부피를 고려하여 경량화 및 전기적 회로설계 측면에서 유리한 PCB 기반의 전개형 태양전지판이 폭넓게 적용되고 있으나, PCB의 낮은 두께 방향 열전도율로 인해 태양전지셀의 방열이 어려운 점이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 6U 큐브위성용 태양전지판은 PCB 기반의 태양전지판으로 제작되고, 판넬 외곽에 장착된 알루미늄 보강재 접속부에 열전도 패드가 적용된다. 따라서 판넬 전면부의 태양전지셀에서 방열면인 판넬 후면으로 열전달이 원활하도록 하여 PCB 적용에 따른 장점을 유지하면서도 방열성능을 극대화함으로서 태양전지셀 온도 하강에 따른 전력생성효율 향상이 가능한 장점을 갖는다. 본 연구에서 제안된 열전도 패드가 적용된 태양전지판의 열제어 측면에서의 유효성 입증을 위해 궤도 열해석을 통해 기존 PCB 태양전지판과 비교 분석을 실시하였다.

항공기 패널 조립체 구조물의 스트링거 형상 최적화 (Stringer Shape Optimization of Aircraft Panel Assembly Structure)

  • Optimization of the aircraft panel assembly constructed by skin and stringers is investigated. For the design of panel assembly of the aircraft structure, it is necessary to determine the best shape of the stringer which accomplishes lowest weight under the condition of no instability. A panel assembly can fail in a variety of instability modes under compression. Overall modes of flexure or torsion can occur and these can interact in a combined flexural/torsion mode. Flexure and torsion can occur symmetrically or anti-symmetrically. Local instabilities can also occur. The local instabilities considered in this paper are buckling of the free and attached flanges, the stiffener web and the inter-rivet buckling. A program is developed to find out critical load for each instability mode at the specific stringer shape. Based on the developed program, optimization is performed to find optimum stringer shape. The developed instability analysis program is not adequate for sensitivity analysis, therefore RSM (Response Surface Method) is utilized instead to model weight and instability constraints. Since the problem has many local minimum, Genetic algorithm is utilized to find global optimum.

  • 패널조사에서 패널탈락이 특정계층에 집중되어 있다면, 초기에 구축된 샘플의 변화에 따라 패널자료의 대표성에 문제를 야기할 수 있다. 본 연구는 대졸자 직업이동 경로조사(GOMS)를 이용하여 신뢰성과 대표성을 저해하는 표본 탈락편의(non-random attrition bias)가 있는지를 파악하고, 패널탈락의 결정요인을 분석하여 패널탈락을 최소할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 분석결과 패널탈락은 응답자의 문제보다 조사시스템의 문제가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 추가연구를 통해 체계적인 조사시스템의 구축 및 응답자관리방법 개발뿐만 아니라 패널탈락의 편의를 보완하기 위한 가중치 부여 등 다양한 개선책의 도입이 시급한 것으로 판단된다.

발사환경시험을 이용한 통신방송위성 Ku대역 중계기 패널의 모델 검증 (Model Validation for the CBS Ku-Band Transponder Panel Using Launch Environmental Test)

  • Accurate predictions and simulations of the behavior of space structures based on analytical models become more important. In order to perform analysis to support the design of Ku-band transponder panel for the Communications and Broadcasting Satellite(CBS), mathematical models of the panel were generated in the form of finite element models. Test verification of these models is required before the transponder panel can be certified for launch environments. A modal identification was performed to obtain modal parameters which can be compared with the test results using correlation techniques. This paper approaches the sensor placement from the standpoint of the structural dynamicist who uses the modal parameter obtained during launch environmental test. The models were validated by performing a test-analysis correlation and updating analysis. It was proved that the Ku-band transponder panel satisfies the environmental test requirements.

압출성형 ECC 패널 RC 복합 슬래브의 해석모델 (Analysis Model of Extruded ECC Panel RC Composite Slabs)

  • 압출성형 ECC 패널을 활용한 철근콘크리트 복합 슬래브 구조에 대한 비선형 휨 해석 모델을 새롭게 제시하였다. ECC 패널은 직접인장시험 결과로부터 균열 이후에 고인성 인장거동을 하는 재료로 모델링하였다. 개발 모델을 기존 철근콘크리트 슬래브 및 ECC 패널 철근콘크리트 복합슬래브 실험체의 휨 실험결과와 비교하였다. 예측결과는 실험결과와 잘 일치하였으며, ECC 패널 적용 철근콘크리트 복합슬래브는 균열제어, 휨내력 및 휨변형능력 개선에 장점이 있는 것으로 판단되었다.

Topology optimization of the photovoltaic panel connector in high-rise buildings

  • Photovoltaic (PV) panels are used in high-rise buildings to convert solar energy to electricity. Due to the considerable energy consumption of high-rise buildings, applying PV technology is of great significance to energy saving. In the application of PV panels, one of the most important construction issues is the connection of the PV panel with the main structures. One major difficulty of the connection design is that the PV panel connection consists of two separate components with coupling and indeterminate dimension. In this paper, the gap element is employed in these two separated but coupled components, i.e., hook and catch. Topology optimization is applied to optimize and design the cross-section of the PV panel connection. Pareto optimization is conducted to operate the optimization subject to multiple load scenarios. The initial design for the topology optimization is determined by the common design specified by the Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering (JGJ 102-2003). Gravity and wind load scenarios are considered for the optimization and numerical analysis. Post analysis is conducted for the optimal design obtained by the topology optimization due to the manufactory requirements. Generally, compared with the conventional design, the optimized connector reduces material use with improved structural characteristics.

굽힘 및 비틀림 하중작용시 횡방향 모재균열을 갖는 복합재료 판넬 해석 (Analysis of a Composite Panel with Transverse Matrix Cracks under Bending and Twisting Moments)

  • This study is to investigate the stiffness degradation of a composite laminated panel including transverse matrix cracks subjected to bending and twisting moments. Micromechanics theory on the composite material is derived by introducing crack density. Iterative numerical scheme is developed to calculate the degraded composite stiffness which has nonlinear relation due to the crack density. The finite element method is used for structural analysis of the composite panel. Structural responses of the composite panel are examined for various laminated angles and crack density under the bending and twisting moments. Also, the effect of crack opening and closing is considered in the examination. It is realized that the matrix cracks may cause severe stiffness reduction and should be considered in the composite laminated panel.

  • A heat transfer analysis in a ventilation chamber of Plasma Display Panel(PDP) has been conducted. The process requirement is to precisely follow prescribed temperature trajectory while maintaining temperature uniformity for each panel. Firstly, experiment in a test chamber has been carried out and the results are compared with the unsteady 3D numerical data. Reasonable agreement was found, which suggested that the employed numerical model had its credibility in actual PDP ventilation processes. On this ground, a tact-type heating/cooling system was analyzed. The panel temperature in the 40$^{\circ}C$ tact-type system was more uniform than that in the 80$^{\circ}C$ one. For improving the uniformity of panel temperature, relocation of ventilation head to the rear part and inlet flow control are required. Comparison of full simulation of a cart and simplified simulation of one panel indicates the optimized panel pitch can also be predicted.

  • In large panel structures, the design of joints which interconnect panels, is important deciding the load-bearing capacity of structures. Being various factors in the design of joints, it is difficult to develop a the critical system for the structural analysis of large concrete panel structures. Therefore there is a tendency to depend on the experiment. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the strength and the mechanical behavior of vertical joints in large concrete panel structures.
