This paper proposes method to find the subjective satisfaction index of an air-conditioner using consumer's sensory evaluation for an air-conditioner. A satisfaction index of an air-conditioner is presented the annoyance and freshness as ${\alphs}$, ${\beta}$ exponents of 1/f slope and is changed the annoyance and freshness as exponents of 1/f slope are changed. The satisfaction index of an air-conditioner is not improved if SPL is above the proper level although the 1/f slope has optimal ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ values. Therefore, this paper proposes the satisfaction index of an air-conditioner considered both SPL and ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ exponents of 1/f slope.

In this study, the effect of temporal variation of IACC on subjective response to heavy-weight floor impact noise generated by impact ball was investigated. Subjective evaluation was conducted to investigate the effect of temporal variation of IACC on perception of heavy-weight floor impact noise using paired comparison test. The results showed that the effects of SPL and temporal variation of IACC on the annoyance of heavy-weight impact noises were independent and the contribution of SPL was much larger than that of temporal variation of IACC. It was also found that the effect of IACC is larger than temporal variation of IACC comparing to previous study.

A weighted sound pressure level has been used to evaluate sounds test or sound quality test for a refrigerator up to present but the customer had different satisfactions of refrigerator sounds with different listening position. It means that there was a sound directivity caused by a position of fan or compressor. In this paper, we proposed a sound power spectrum guideline that represents total sound of refrigerator.

This study investigates the effects of Interaural Cross-correlation(IACC) and its variation on annoyance of the heavy-weight impact sounds. Subjects evaluated the annoyance of the heavy-weight floor impact sounds recorded in rooms of apartments which have different sound insulation treatments; furnished and occupied conditions are characterized by the ACF/IACF factors. A paired comparison test was conducted using the impact sound sources whose IACC and variation of IACC values were different. It was found that IACC is inversely correlated with the scale value(r=-0.62) whereas the variation of IACC is not(r=-0.34). On the contrary, ${\Phi}(0)$ is highly correlated with scale value of annoyance and ${\Phi}(0)$ is need to be controlled as constant to find the effect of IACC on annoyance.

의류용 섬유제품의 쾌적성을 객관적으로 측정하려는 시도가 계속되고 있지만, 아직 소비자의 미묘한 차이를 검출하는 능력을 재현하기에는 거리가 있어 보인다. 객관적 측정법들은 재현성과 신뢰성 면에서 제각기 자신들의 우수한 성능을 자랑하지만, 검출능력의 민감성은 주관적 평가에 훨씬 못 미치고 있기 때문에 비현실적인 경우가 많다. 본 연구의 목적은 주관적 평가의 신뢰성을 높이고 통계적인 추론이 가능한 보다 진보된 형식의 주관적 평가법을 개발하고 의류용 직물의 촉감평가에 응용하는 것이다. 국내에서 생산되는 여름용 캐쥬얼 웨어를 대상으로 여러 형태의 주관적 평가법을 적용하여 그 촉감을 평가하였다. 평정척도법, 표준 비교법, 순위법, Thurstone일대 비교법, Quad 분석법 등을 순차적으로 적용하여 평가자 판단의 일관성 여부, 평가자간의 일치성 여부, 재현성 및 논리성 여부를 통계적으로 평가한 후 이를 통과한 평가자들을 대상으로 실험을 반복한 후, 직물 촉감과 관련된 물리적 속성들과의 관련성을 고찰하였다.

In this studies, subjective evaluation of heavy-weight floor impact sound through classification was conducted. Heavyweight impact sounds generated by an impact ball were recorded through dummy heads in apartment buildings. The recordings were classified according to the frequency characteristics of the floor impact sounds which are influenced by the floor structure with different boundary conditions and composite materials. The characteristics of the floor impact noise were investigated by paired comparison tests and semantic differential tests. Sound sources for auditory experiment were selected based on the actual noise levels with perceptual level differences. The results showed that roughness and fluctuation strength as well as loudness of the heavy-weight impact noise had a major effect on annoyance.

This study examines the changing patterns of technological cooperation activities along technological development stages. Based on the longitudinal sample of 58 small and medium-sized companies in telecommunication equipment and device sectors, proposed hypotheses are tested using paired comparison t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. Major findings of this study are as follows. Along technological development stages, (1) patterns of technological cooperation activities differ in terms of the extent and diversity of use, partners, method, and motivation and (2) the impact of specific forms of technological cooperation activities on the firm's technological innovation varies. In addition, some managerial and policy implications are presented and future research directions are suggested.

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a systematic and objective decision method that stratifies multiple criteria to determine various evaluation factors' order of priority. Since AHP requires several stages of analysis with complicated attributes, they normally rely on computer programs for the execution of such analyses. However, the existing AHP analytic tools carry the inconvenience of having to repeatedly input massive amounts data generated in every stage. This repetitious data entry process results in prolonged analysis times and higher possibility of errors, leading to decreased reliability of the results. Thus, in this study, we develop an analytic tool that effectively simplifies the data entry process in AHP analysis, for the purpose of reducing analysis times and increasing the reliability of the results.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the elastic effect of deformation and restriction in wearing a support type panty stocking (PS). The study investigated deformation rate in all surface area, deformation rate in local area, length deformation rate, changes in slip and feeling of restriction under the standard laboratory condition. Two healthy adult females in twenties wore four types of PS. The result were as follows : The deformation rate in all surface area was 117 .approx. 132% in wearing support type PS, 157% in wearing mono type PS, due to the intensities of restriction. The deformation rate in local area was in order, course > oblique > wale direction. The largest deformation rate was observed in hip girth. Between the deformation rates in all surface and local areas was a high correlation acknowledged, especially the course direction showed a high correlation. Support type PSs showed more deformation and changes of slip than wool and mono type PS. Especially, changes of slip at the knee appeared greatly. The responses of restriction evaluated from a paired comparison method were in order, JS 2 > KS 4 > KS 9 > KS 5 > KS 1 > KM 3.

The pair-induced quenching (PIQ) effect in a highly doped bismuth oxide-based erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) was theoretically and experimentally investigated. In the theoretical investigation, the bismuth oxide-based EDFA was modeled as a 6-level amplifier system that incorporated clustering-induced concentration quenching, cooperative up-conversion, pump excited state absorption (ESA), and signal ESA. The relative number of paired ions in a highly doped bismuth oxide EDF was estimated to be ~6.02%, determined by a comparison between the theoretical and the experimentally measured gain values. The impacts of the PIQ on the gain and the noise figure were also investigated.
