With the increase in cases of using Bluetooth devices used in the electric vehicle charging systems, security issues are also raised. Although various technical efforts have beed made to enhance security of bluetooth technology, various attack methods exist. In this paper, we propose an intelligent Bluetooth intrusion detection system based on a well-known machine learning method, Hidden Markov Model, for the purpose of detecting intelligently representative Bluetooth attack methods. The proposed approach combines packet types of H4, which is bluetooth transport layer protocol, and the transport directions of the packet firstly to represent the behavior of current traffic, and uses the temporal deployment of these combined types as the final input features for detecting attacks in real time as well as accurate detection. We construct the experimental environment for the data acquisition and analysis the performance of the proposed system against obtained data set.
Mobile node must move optionally and perform the router and the host functions at the same time. These characteristics of nodes have become a potential threatening element of a variety of attacks. In particular, a black hole which malicious node causes packet loss among them is one of the most important issues. In this paper, we propose distributed detection technique using monitoring tables in all node and cooperative detection technique based cluster for an efficient detection of black hole attack. The proposed technique performs by dividing into local detection and cooperative detection process which is composed of process of step 4 in order to improve the accuracy of the attack detection. Cluster head uses a black hole list to cooperative detection. The performance of the proposed technique was evaluated using ns-2 simulator and its excellent performance could be confirmed in the experiment result.

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is a signaling protocol to provide IP-based VoIP (Voice over IP) service. However, many security vulnerabilities exist as the SIP protocol utilizes the existing IP based network. The SIP Malformed message attacks may cause malfunction on VoIP services by changing the transmitted SIP header information. Additionally, there are several threats such that an attacker can extract personal information on SIP client system by inserting malicious code into SIP header. Therefore, the alternative measures should be required. In this study, we analyzed the existing research on the SIP anomaly message detection mechanism against SIP attack. And then, we proposed a Co-occurrence based SIP packet analysis mechanism, which has been used on language processing techniques. We proposed a association rule generation and an attack detection technique by using the actual SIP session state. Experimental results showed that the average detection rate was 87% on SIP attacks in case of using the proposed technique.

With the development of network technology, the application area has also been diversified, and protocols for various purposes have been developed and the amount of traffic has exploded. Therefore, it is difficult for the network administrator to meet the stability and security standards of the network with the existing traditional switching and routing methods. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a new networking paradigm proposed to solve this problem. SDN enables efficient network management by programming network operations. This has the advantage that network administrators can flexibly respond to various types of attacks. In this paper, we design a threat level management module, an attack detection module, a packet statistics module, and a flow rule generator that collects attack information through the controller and switch, which are components of SDN, and detects attacks based on these attributes of SDN. It proposes a method to block denial of service attacks (DoS) of advanced attackers by programming and applying honeypot. In the proposed system, the attack packet can be quickly delivered to the honeypot according to the modifiable flow rule, and the honeypot that received the attack packets analyzed the intelligent attack pattern based on this. According to the analysis results, the attack detection module and the threat level management module are adjusted to respond to intelligent attacks. The performance and feasibility of the proposed system was shown by actually implementing the proposed system, performing intelligent attacks with various attack patterns and attack levels, and checking the attack detection rate compared to the existing system.

To realize high-speed intrusion detection by accommodating many regular expression (regex)-based signatures and growing network link capacities, we propose the Service TimE-Aware Load-balancing (STEAL) algorithm. This work is motivated from the observation that utilization of a many-core network intrusion detection system (NIDS) is influenced by unfair computational distribution among many-core NIDS nodes. To avoid such unfair computational distribution, STEAL is designed to dynamically distribute a large volume of traffic among many-core NIDS nodes based on packet service time, which is represented by the deep packet time in many-core NIDS nodes. From experiments, we show that compared to the commonly used load-balancing algorithm based on arrival rate, STEAL increases the number of received packets (i.e., decreases the number of dropped packets) in many-core NIDS. Specifically, by integrating an open source NIDS (i.e. Bro) with STEAL, we show that even under attack-dominant traffic and with many signatures, STEAL can rapidly improve the performance of many-core NIDS to realize high-speed intrusion detection.

Emergency medical information center performs role of medical direction about disease consult and pre-hospital emergency handling scheme work to people. Emergency medical information system plays a major role to be decreased mortality and disability of emergency patient by providing information of medical institution especially when emergency patient has appeared. But, various attacks as a hacking have been happened in Emergency medical information system recently. In this paper, we proposed security structure which can protect the system securely by detecting attacks from outside effectively. Intrusion detection was performed using rule based detection technique according to protocol for every packet to detect attack and intrusion was reported to control center if intrusion was detected also. Intrusion detection was performed again using decision tree for packet which intrusion detection was not done. We experimented effectiveness using attacks as TCP-SYN, UDP flooding and ICMP flooding for proposed security structure in this paper.
Although many researches on IDS (Intrusion Detection System) have been performed, the most of them are limited to the algorithm of detection software. However, even an IDS with superior algorithm can not detect intrusion, if it loses packets which nay have a clue of intrusions. In this paper, we suggest an efficient wav to improve the performance of IDS by reducing packet losses occurred due to hardware limitation and abundant processing overhead introduced by massive detection software itself. The reduction in packet losses is achieved by dropping hacking-free packets. The result shows that this decrease of packet losses leads an IDS to improve the detection rate of real attack.

Recently, DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack has emerged as one of the major threats and it's main characteristic is to send flood of data packets toward a specific victim. Thus, several attack detection schemes which monitor the destination IP address of packets have been suggested. The existing Bloom Filter based attack detection scheme is simple and can support real-time monitoring. However, since this scheme monitors the separate fields of destination IP address independently, wrong detection is comparatively high. In this paper, in order to solve this drawback, an efficient Bloom Filter based destination address monitoring scheme is proposed, which monitors not only separate fields but also relationship among separate fields. In the results of simulation, the proposed monitoring scheme outperforms the existing Bloom Filter based detection scheme. Also, to improve the correctness of detection, multi-layerd structure is proposed and the correctness of result is improved according to the number of layers and extra tables.
To enhance the efficiency of network, content-centric networking (CCN), one of future Internet architectures, allows network nodes to temporally cache transmitted contents and then to directly respond to request messages which are relevant to previously cached contents. Also, since CCN uses a hierarchical content-name, not a host identity like source/destination IP address, for request/response packet routing and CCN request message does not include requester's information for privacy protection, contents-providers/ network nodes can not identify practical requesters sending request messages. So to send back relevant contents, network nodes in CCN records both a request message and its incoming interfaces on Pending Interest Table (PIT). Then the devices refer PIT to return back a response message. If PIT is exhausted, the device can not normally handle request/response messages anymore. Hence, it is needed to detect/react attack to exhaust PIT. Hence, in this paper, we propose improved detection/reaction schemes against attacks to exhaust PIT. In practice, for fine-grained control, this proposal is applied to each incoming interface. Also, we propose the message framework to control attack traffic and evaluate the performance of our proposal.
DDoS attacks is upgrade of DoS attacks. Botnet is being used by DDoS attack, so it is able to attack a millions of PCs at one time. DDoS attacks find the root the cause of the attack because it is hard to find sources for it, even after the treatment wavelength serious social problem in this study, the analysis and countermeasures for DDoS attack is presented.
