밴드갭 기준전압을 이용한 동작온도에 무관한 PWM 컨트롤러 (A Temperature Stable PWM Controller Using Bandgap Reference Voltage)

  • 본 논문에서는 밴드갭 기준전압을 이용하여 동작온도에 무관한 PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) 제어 회로를 설계 하였다. 동작온도에 무관한 PWM 제어기는 BiCMOS 기술을 이용하여 동작온도에 무관한 기준전압과 동작온도에 따라 변화하는 두개의 기준 전압을 이용하였다. 설계되어진 회로는 공급전압 3.3volt를 사용하였으며, 출력 주파수는 1MHz이다. 회로의 시뮬레이션 결과 동작 온도가 $0^{\circ}C$에서 $70^{\circ}C$까지 변화할 때, PWM 제어기의 출력 펄스폭의 변화는 상온에 비하여 +0.86%에서 -0.38%였다.

  • This paper considers a hybrid PWM(pulse width modulation) method which can be used in the brushless DC motor controller. Due to many disadvantages of bipolar PWM method, unipolar PWM method is mostly used in industrial field. In constant speed control application, the unipolar PWM method shows the good performance of speed control. But in the wide range of speed control application, it shows poor performance especially when deceleration is needed. So we propose the hybrid PWM method that utilizes both of bipolar and unipolar PWM methods according to the sign of the speed controller output. Simulation and experimental result show that the proposed method improves speed control performance of the brushless DC motor which is applied to the industrial sewing machines.

  • This paper considers pulse width modulation (PWM) methods which are used in 3-phase brushless DC motor controller. Due to many disadvantages of bipolar PWM method, unipolar PWM method is mostly used in industrial field. In constant speed control application, the unipolar PWM method shows a good performance of speed control.   • This paper describes the PWM-VSI controller of three-phase UPS system using stationary reference frame. This controller meets the specification the UPS inverter output voltage even under the unbalanced or nonlinear load. This controller is also constructed with duble control loop of the outer voltage control loop and the inner current control loop. For the fast response of the output voltage control, yhr inner current control loop of the capacitor current os used. To get the good property against overshoot, the If controller us used. The outer voltage controller is designed with P controller and the high gain transfer function is used for the zero steady state error. All control gains of both controller is designed base on the CDM method.

  • In this paper, A new controller for power factor and harmonics compensation of a single-phase PWM converter is described. The proposed controller requires only the dc voltage sensor and the at current sensor to compensate the power factor and harmonics. Detail simulation model with EMTBC (Electro-Magnetic Transient program for DC transmission) including power circuit and controller was developed to verify the operation of proposed controller. The application feasibility of the proposed controller was verified through experimental works with a prototype. The proposed controller has a simple structure in the point of hardware implementation, and shows excellent performance in normal operation as well as in sudden load change.

  • 본 논문은 BLDC 서보모터 펌프를 사용하는 PBW(power-by-wire) 시스템을 위한 DSP(Digital Signal Processor) 제어기에 대한 연구를 제시한다. PBW 유압 엑츄에이터는 BLDC 서보모터에 의해 구동되는 유압펌프와 유압 실린더 그리고 제어기로 구현된다. 이 PBW 시스템은 유압 실린더의 선형 추진 동작을 위해 서보 모터의 속도 제어를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 벡터 제어 방법과 MIN-MAX PWM 기술을 활용하는 서보 제어기를 구현한다. 제어기로서, PWM 파형발생기, A/D변환기, SPI(직병렬인터페이스) 포트 그리고 많은 입/출력 포트 등을 가지고 있는 이유로 TMS320F2812 DSP가 채택되었다.

  • MPPT가 미적용된 기존 태양광 가로등은 최대 30%의 출력저하를 유발한다고 보고되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 출력 저하로부터 태양광발전시스템의 효율을 향상시키기 위해 다이렉트 듀티비 제어 알고리즘을 적용한 250W 태양광가로등을 위한 충전제어기를 제안하였으며, PWM 제어기와 전력 토폴로지를 다루고, MPPT 알고리즘을 분석하였다. 전력변환부는 푸쉬풀 강압 컨버터로 구성하고, PWM 제어기는 8비트 MCU를 기반으로 해서 제조 원가를 낮추도록 하였다. 다이렉트 듀티비 제어 알고리즘을 적용한 PWM 제어기는 태양광모듈의 최대전력점을 지속적으로 추적하여 출력 전력을 증가시킨다. 실험 결과, 241W 태양광시뮬레이터 환경에서 97.1~97.4%의 MPPT 효율을 나타내었으며, 실제 응용제품에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

PWM-Based Sliding Mode Controller for Three-Level Full-Bridge DC-DC Converter that Eliminates Static Output Voltage Error

  • This paper proposes a pulse width modulation (PWM)-based sliding mode controller (SMC) for a full-bridge DC-DC converter that can eliminate static output voltage error. Hysteretic SMC in DC-DC converter does not have a fixed switching frequency, and applying hysteretic SMC to full-bridge converters is difficult. Fixed-frequency SMC, which is also called PWM-based SMC, based on equivalent control overcomes these shortcomings. However, the controller order reduction in equivalent control in PWM-based SMC causes static output voltage error. To resolve this issue, an integral item is added to the PWM-based SMC. Sliding mode coefficients are designed by applying a standard second-order system to the sliding mode surface. The effect of adding an integral item on the controller is analyzed, and an integral coefficient design method is proposed. Experiment results on a three-level full-bridge DC-DC converter verify the control scheme and design method proposed in this paper.

DC-Link Voltage Balance Control Using Fourth-Phase for 3-Phase 3-Level NPC PWM Converters with Common-Mode Voltage Reduction Technique

  • This paper proposes a DC-link voltage balance controller using the fourth-phase of a three-level neutral-point clamped (NPC) PWM converter with medium vector selection (MVS) PWM for common-mode voltage reduction. MVS PWM makes the voltage reference by synthesizing the voltage vectors that cannot generate common-mode voltage. This PWM method is effective for reducing the EMI noise emitted from converter systems. However, the DC-link voltage imbalance problem is caused by the use of limited voltage vectors. Therefore, in this paper, the effect of MVS PWM on the DC-link voltage of a three-level NPC converter is analyzed. Then a proportional-derivative (PD) controller for the DC-link voltage balance is designed from the DC-link modeling. In addition, feedforward compensation of the neutral point current is included in the proposed PD controller. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified by experimental results.

  • This paper presents a desing of a PWM programmable controller for industrial robot to be utilized in process which reqires various movements and repeating operations. To be specific, a low-level robot language is constructed which makes easy for the user to program complex robot motion, and an interpreter is developed to execute the program. Also, related hardware and software, and monitor program for convenience of user are implemented. When the proposed controller is applied to the catresian coordinate 4-axis manipulator, it reveals that the error probabilities of X,Y and Z axis as 0.033%, 0.023%,0.028% respectively.
