Robust Adaptive Converter Control Algorithm for Photovoltaic Generator Systems (태양광 발전 시스템의 강인 적응형 컨버터 제어 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents a novel adaptive control method for DC-DC converters applied in PV generator systems. We derive an state-space average model of the converter system and then propose a adaptive control methodology to enhance transient response performance for time-varying PV systems. A well-knwon Lyapunov theory is utilized for constructing our control algorithm. Numerical simulation demonstrates reliability of our control methodology and its superiority by comparison to a traditional control strategy.

  • In this paper, the transformerless three-phase line-connected PV PCS (photovoltaic power conditioning system) is proposed. An improved P&O (perturb and observe) MPPT (maximum power point tracking) algorithm that prevents local maximum power point tracking is proposed. By controlling the three-phase line-connected voltage source inverter using outer DC-link voltage controller, inner current controller and microcontroller friendly simplified space vector modulation (SVM) method, a unity power factor is achieved. An algorithm is suggested to control the DC-link voltage faster and more correctly for the increase system stability and power factor. All algorithms and controllers are implemented on a single-chip microcontroller and the superiority of the proposed algorithms and controllers is proved by experiments.

  • This paper summarizes the results of these efforts by offering a photovoltaic system structure in 50kW middle scale applications installed in Cho-sun University dormitory roof. The combination of photovoltaic system components are interconnected and system monitoring system will be summarized for the purpose of the increasing safety in this article. This paper describes configuration of utility interactive photovoltaic system which generated electric power supplies to dormitory. In order to installing the middle or large scale photovoltaic system, It must investigated the optimal design of system, compute quantity of power generation, economic rate of return and so on. In this paper represent 50kW utility photovoltaic system examination and developed simulation results. The performance of photovoltaic system has been evaluated and analyzed with simulation. The results obtained in this research will be much useful to prior investigation for installing utility interactive photovoltaic system.

A Study on the Installation Potential of Photovoltaic System Based on Regional Architectural Data (지역별 건축물 데이터를 활용한 태양광발전시스템 설치 잠재량 산정에 관한 연구)

  • As the solar energy market grows, the need to investigate the potential of photovoltaic system is being highlighted. However, due to the lack of plain field, the system on top of buildings is being exploited. This paper analyzes the potential to install PV systems on the rooftops. First of all, with the aid of a photovoltaic system simulation software, buildings were designed in a specific area based on the architectural data. And then, with the same software, the potential to install photovoltaic system was explored by placing PV modules on the buildings' rooftops. The installation potential was calculated and simulated with consideration for obstacles on the rooftops. The parameters are composed of available area for system installation, area utilization rate, PV system power capacity, operation yield hour per day and performance ratio. In the simulation, 5 sites were analyzed based on their architectural data. In the end, reliable data that can be utilized were collected for the potential to install the system with the photovoltaic system simulation software.

  • Existing AC distribution system lower the efficiency of the commercial power, and also generate the conversion loss of renewable energy. In this study, DC distribution system interconnected with PV system is produced, and it is studied about characteristics of the system through the experiments which are uesd load of 3[kW].

  • It is expected that utility interactive small scale dispersed PV system will be widely diffused in the future. This paper discussed the design and control method of single phase PV inverter system with compensation capability of reactive power including harmonic distortion, based on state space modelling. As the results, compensation effects were suggested by simulation and experiment.

  • The dc link voltage in a single-phase PV system has necessarily twice component of fundamental wave. It makes high THD in the grid current, and according to the problem, power quality is lower. This paper proposes the new method for removing ripple voltage. The performance was verified through computer simulation using MATLAB.

  • 본 논문에서는 먼저 10k(Wp)의 PV 어레이를 설계하는 방법을 제시하고, 설계한 10k(Wp)의 PV 어레이는 최저 및 최고 온도를 고려하여 어레이 시스템을 설계하는 방식으로 인버터의 효율적인 운전이 가능하며 부정합에 의한 손실은 3(%)$\sim$5(%)정도 줄일 수 있다.

  • In this paper, discrete wavelet transform using a PV system covers how the detection of a islanding. Connection point occur exclusively in Grid when the grid voltage and current operation of the wavelet coefficients by changing features will determine if islanding operation. The proposed method has simple computation and fast decision time has the advantage. DSP-based controller through the experiment proved the validity of the proposed method.
