실시간 시뮬레이터를 이용한 태양광 발전 시스템의 출력 변동에 따른 THD 분석 (Analysis of THD according to Output Power Fluctuation of Photovoltaic Generation System using Real Time Simulator)

  • This paper analyzes the THD(Total Harmonics Distortion) according to output power fluctuation of photovoltaic(PV) systems using real time simulator. For being close to reality, the PV system including inverter and MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) which composed of closed-loop using real-time simulator are modeled. The change of irradiance and temperature of PV module is modeled to consider the change of weather. The various simulations according to the weather conditions are performed and THD is calculated at each condition. In this paper, the results by off-line simulation are compared with the ones of real time simulation.

  • This paper proposes a the high efficiency tracking system regarding power loss when operating a tracking system for environment variable such as a rapidly changing insolation and shadow effect to improve the power of PV tracking system. To reduce the power loss, this paper proposes a novel control algorithm of the tracking system. And paper suggests a method controlling an altitude for length which is received the shadow influence of PV array. The paper is analyzed efficiency about conventional PV tracking method, comparing proposed algorithm with high performance method.

  • This paper deals with simulation model of the micro-grid system based on the real power system and applying PV generation system to micro-grid system. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation model is developed for use in studying the effect of the dynamics of PV generation to the micro-grid system. Simulation results show that the addition of the PV system improves the voltage profile of the area. Case studies also show that power quality at the load side is improved via voltage compensation at the load bus.

  • Amid the booming research on new and renewable energy, the photovoltaic(PV) industry has been growing around the PV advanced countries such as Japan, Germany, Europe and USA. In recent years, China became a strong performer in the world PV market share, increasing solar cell production rapidly. Both world solar cell and module production and installation rose steadily in 2007 like recent bumper years. In 2007, the PV industry produced 4.28GW and the installations reached a record high of 2.83GW, representing growth of 60percent over the previous year.

  • 기존의 MPPT제어의 방식은 태양전지의 출력을 비교하여 최대점을 추종하는 방식으로써 최대전력점을 추종하는데 많은 시간이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 새로운 MPPT제어법인 POS(PV Output Senseless) MPPT법에 최대전력추종의 시간이 빠른 퍼지제어를 적용하여, 기존의 MPPT제어의 방식과 퍼지제어와의 최대전력점의 추종시간을 예측할 수 없는 기상조건에서 비교분석하여 제안된 방법의 유효성을 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 확인하였다.

  • An improved MPPT converter with current compensation method for small-scaled PV-applications is presented in this paper. The proposed method implements maximum power point tracking (MPPT) by variable reference current which is continuously changed during one sampling period. Therefore, the power transferred to the load is increased above $9\%$ by the proposed MPPT converter with current compensation method. As a result, the utilization efficiency of Photovoltaic (PV)-panel can be increased. In addition, as it doesn't use digital signal processor (DSP), this MPPT method has the merits of both a cost efficiency and a simple control circuit design. Therefore, it is considered that the proposed MPPT method is proper to low power, low cost PV-applications. The concept and control principles of the proposed MPPT method are explained in detail and its validity of the proposed method is verified through several simulated results.

  • This paper presents an effective modeling and simulation scheme of solar-powered hydrogen production system (PV-SPE: Photovoltaic Solid Polymer Electrolyte). Existing Hydrogen production technologies can produce vast amounts of hydrogen from hydrocarbons but emit large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere. Advanced hydrogen production methods need development. Renewable technologies such as solar and wind need further development for hydrogen production to be more cost-competitive from other resources. In this paper, authors have focused on a renewable technology to move one step further toward commercial readiness of solar-powered hydrogen production system. Software (PSCAD/EMTDC) based model of PV-SPE system is studied for an effective simulation of hydrogen production system. Using the simulation results, an actual PV-SPE system is implemented to verify the simulation results by comparing them with actual values obtained from the data acquisition system.

  • This paper compares not only the performances of estimate by computer simulation considering parameters of system specifications, installation and surrounding conditions with those of real PV system and but also shows verification of designed value. We evaluate the performances of PV system with changing of parameter, specialty a field type and suggest optimum condition in each field type. in the future, we will intend to develop an analysis tool and construct database for optimum design of PV system.

  • This paper presents the results of a grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) system modeling that contain incremental conductance MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller by PSCAD/EMTDC simulator and investigates the influence that can occur in the grid-connected PV system from aspect of power quality, i.e. voltage drop, total harmonic distortion(THD) and total demand distortion(TDD). The measured data the PV array modeling of PSCAD/EMTDC in Cheongwadae, Seoul, Korea is used in the paper.
