The Effects of Employers' Breach of Safety Obligation and Violation of Psychological Contract on the Workers' Safety Behaviors and Turnover Intention (고용주의 안전 의무 불이행과 심리적 계약 위반이 근로자의 안전행동과 이직의도에 미치는 효과)

  • This study examined the effects of employers' breach of safety obligation and violation of psychological contract on the workers' safety behaviors and turnover intention. Especially, this study examined a mediating effect of violation of psychological contract on the relationship between employer's breach of safety obligation and workers' safety behavior and turnover. 198 workers were asked to respond to the questionnaires that measured various demographic variables, employers' breach of safety obligation, violation of psychological contract, safety behavior, turnover intention. A hierarchical regression was conducted to identify variables that had significant relationships between employers' breach of safety obligation and employees' safety behavior and turnover intention, and to examine the mediating effect of violation of psychological contract. Results indicated that the employers' breach of safety obligation significantly predicted both workers' safety behaviors and turnover intention. It was also found that the violation of psychological contract was a significant predictor for both workers' safety behavior and turnover intention. In addition, violation of psychological contract was found as mediating effect on the relationship between employers' breach of safety obligation and workers' safety behavior and turnover intention. Based on these results, the implications of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

The Effect of Self Esteem on Psychological Well Being in Elderly Women -Focusing on Family Support as a Moderator- (여성노인의 자아존중감이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 -가족지지의 조절효과를 중심으로-)

  • This research has attempted to investigate the perception of elderly women on self esteem, psychological well-being and the moderating effect of family support on self esteem and psychological well-being. Two-hundred and six of elderly women who used senior welfare centers had been participating in the research, and their questionnaires had been filled out during personal interviews. The collected data had been analysed by using SPSS Win 15.0 and the results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the level of self-esteem perceived by elderly women was a little bit higher than middle level and the level of psychological well-being appeared to be moderate. Secondly, it was found that the self esteem of elderly women affected psychological well-being and that the higher the participants perceived self esteem, the higher the level of psychological well-being. Thirdly, family support appeared to have a moderating effect in relation to self esteem and psychological well-being. As it were, the higher the perception level of elderly women was, the higher impact of their self esteem on their psychological well-being. Therefore, there needs to be a re-consideration of the importance of family support which is being weakened due to family nuclearization as well as mechanisms for improving family support.

The Effect of family stress on psychological well-being in middle-aged: mediating effects of family resilience and depression (중년기의 가족스트레스가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 : 가족탄력성과 우울의 매개효과)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of family resilience and depression in a relation between family stress and psychological well-being among middle-aged. Method: The subjects were 409 of men and women between 40 to 59 living in D and G province. They completed the questionnaire on family stress, family resilience, depression, and psychological well-being. Correlation and structural equation models of SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0 were used to examine the relations between the variables. Results: The results are as follows. First, family stress had no significant effect on psychological well-being of middle age men and women, while it directly influenced on family resilience and depression. Second, family resilience and depression had direct influence on psychological well-being. Third, there were significant mediating effects of family resilience and depression in a relationship between family stress and psychological well-being. Conclusions: Family stress has an indirect effect on psychological well-being among middle age men and women mediated by family resilience and depression. The result suggest that psychological well-being influenced by family stress can be improved by enhancing Family Resilience and reducing Depression.

The Routes of Psychological Ownership and the Effect of Psychological Ownership on Customer Loyalty in Fanpage of Facebook (팬페이지에서 심리적 주인의식의 경로와 고객로열티)

  • Purpose This study investigates that the routes of psychological ownership in Fanpage and the effect of psycholoigical ownership on customer loyalty based on psychological ownership theory. Fans are customers who clicked 'Like' on the fan page. These fans have a lot of friends on Facebook, so the word-of-mouth is more effective than other online communities. Therefore, it is necessary for fans to have psychological ownership, actively responding to the fan pages, and recommending them to friends. However, previous social network service studies have overlooked the importance of psychological ownership. In this study, we examine what factors can increase psychological ownership and show that customer loyalty can be enhanced through psychological ownership. Design/methodology/approach This study was designed to investigate the structural relationship between Fanpage Familiarity, Interaction(Customer-Brand interaction and Customer-customer interaction), Psychological Ownerhisp, and Customer Loyalty. Structural equation modeling with SmartPLS2.0 was used to analyze the relationships in the research model. Findings The results showed that Fanpage Familiarity and Customer-customer interaction is positively related with Psychological Ownership. However, Customer-Brand interaction did not influence Psychological Ownership. Psychological Ownership has a positive impact on Intention to Continue Using Fanpage and Recommend.

The Effects of Intergenerational Transmission of Self-Differentiation on Psychological Adjustment of College Student (자기분화의 세대간 전이가 대학생의 심리적 적응에 미치는 영향)

  • The major purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of intergenerational transmission of self-differentiation on psychological adjustment of college students. Specifically, the present study endeavored to test the causal model focusing on the effect of the father's and the mother's self-differentiation on college student's psychological adjustment through the student's self-differentiation. The data were collected from 254 male and 293 female college students and their parents by using self-administered questionnaire method. The casual model was tested through structural equation model by using AMOS 7.0 program. The results showed that mother's and father's self-differentiation had direct and indirect effect on student's psychological adjustment. The results showed that both mother's and father's self-differentiation had direct effect on son's self-differentiation level, which directly influenced his psychological adjustment. The test of structural equation model also revealed that daughter's self-differentiation level was positively influenced only by mother's self-differentiation, while father's self-differentiation did not influenced female student's self-differentiation. Both male and female student's psychological adjustment was directly influenced by his or her self-differentiation level.

A Meta-analysis of Variable Related to Psychological Effects of the Elderly Target Program (노인대상프로그램의 심리적 효과와 관련된 변인에 대한 메타분석)

  • Purpose. This study aims to present basic data to develop programs suitable to the characteristics of elderly people through a meta-analysis of effectiveness of variables related to psychological effects of programs of elderly people conducted in past 15 years. Methods. The analysis subjects are total 229 articles related to the psychological effects of programs for elderly people and submitted for master or doctor degrees or published in academic journals. CMA2 is used for the analysis. Results. The results of this study shows lower variables of the psychological effect promoting factor group that are highly effective for Life Satisfaction, Self-Efficacy, Self-Respect and Self-Integration and lower variables of suppressing factor group that are highly effective for Loneliness, Tension, Weakness, Anger and Depression. For the effect scale of psychological effect promoting factors, Arts is shown to be the highest followed by Exercise, Consultation, Recollection, Others and Recreation in order. For the effect scale of suppressing factors, Consultation is shown to be the highest followed by Recollection, Arts, Exercise, Others and Recreation) in order. Conclusions. This study has its own meaning for establishing integrated factors of psychological effects of programs for elderly people and presenting realistic data for planing programs suitable for various desires of elderly people.

The Relationship between Directors' Servant Leadership and Teachers' Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Mediation Effect of Teachers' Psychological Empowerment in Childcare Centers (어린이집 원장의 서번트 리더쉽이 교사의 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향: 교사의 심리적 임파워먼트를 매개변인으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between directors' servant leadership, teachers' organizational citizenship behavior and psychological empowerment in childcare centers. The subjects were 479 teachers employed in childcare centers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province. Questionnaires, which required self-report by teachers, were used to investigate directors' servant leadership, teachers' organizational citizenship behavior and psychological empowerment. The collected data were analyzed by mean of Pearson's correlation, simple regression, hierarchial regression, by the use of SPSS Win 19.0. The results of our study was as follows. First, directors' servant leadership had a direct effect on teachers' organizational citizenship behavior. Second, teachers' psychological empowerment had a direct effect on teachers' organizational citizenship behavior. Third, directors' servant leadership had an indirect effect on teachers' organizational citizenship behavior mediated by teachers' psychological empowerment. Therefore, teachers' psychological empowerment partially mediated the relationship between directors' servant leadership and teachers' organizational citizenship behavior.

The Effect of Cognitive-Emotional Regulation, Emotional Self-Disclosure and Maternal Psychological Control on Depression among Adolescents (정서조절, 정서적 자기개방 및 어머니의 심리적 통제가 중·고등학생의 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the influence of cognitive-emotional regulation, emotional self-disclosure and maternal psychological control on adolescent depression. The participants in this study consisted of 280 middle school students and 287 high school students in Gyung Gi Province, Korea. The results of this study were as follows. First, the high school students exhibited higher scores on depression than middle school students while there were no meaningful differences in maternal psychological control, cognitive-emotional regulation and emotional self-disclosure. Second, both middle and high school students' depression levels were positively associated with maternal psychological control and maladaptive cognitive-emotional regulation. Both middle and high school students' depression was negatively associated with emotional self-disclosure. Third, maladaptive cognitive-emotional regulation and maternal psychological control had a significant effect on both middle and high school students' depression levels, while emotional self-disclosure had a significant effect on high school students' depression only. In both age groups there was an interactive effect of maladaptive cognitive-emotional regulation and maternal psychological control on depression.

The Effect of Psychological Capital on Empowerment and Learning Performance (심리적자본이 임파워먼트와 학습성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of psychological capital on empowerment and learning performance and the mediating effect of the empowerment on the relationship between psychological capital and learning performance. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were obtained from 283 university students in Ulsan Metropolitan City and were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0, AMOS 5.0. The findings are as follows: First, the psychological capital were positively related to the empowerment and the learning performance. Second, there was also a positive relationship between the empowerment and the learning performance. Finally, it is found that empowerment fully mediated the relationship of psychological capital and earning performance. The theoretical implication of the study includes that this study and findings advance the understanding of learning performance by suggesting a new viewpoint regarding how psychological capital and empowerment to motivate university's learning performance. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.

The Impact of Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction on the Performance of the Franchisee

  • Purpose: This research is to investigate the effect of the franchisee's basic psychological needs satisfaction on its business performance. Moreover, within the relationship between the franchisee's basic psychological needs satisfaction and its performance, the current study examined the mediating effect of work engagement and the moderating effect of the franchisor's support. Research design, data and methodology: 367 survey data were collected and analyzed using SPSS 22 and AMOS 22. For the assessment of goodness of fit of the models, fit indexes such as TLI, CFI, RMSEA were employed. Results: The results of the study are as follows: first, the franchisee's basic psychological needs satisfaction is positively related to performance; second, the franchisee's basic psychological needs satisfaction is positively related to work engagement; third, the franchisee's work engagement is positively related to performance; fourth, it is uncovered that the franchisee's work engagement mediates the relationship between basic psychological needs satisfaction and business performance; fifth, the moderating effect of the franchisor's support was insignificant. Conclusion: This study would like to contribute to the field of franchise performance, by re-assessing the significance of the individual's characteristics (of the franchisee) which has been ignored thus far. Furthermore, the limitations of the study and future research directions were discussed.
