  • This paper Presents an effective modeling scheme of high temperature superconducting transformer. So far there were numerical modeling and designs for conventional transformers for various applications. Recently, the interest and the R&D in superconducting technology and devices such as superconducting generator, motor, cable, fault current limiter and transformer have been increased gradually. With those interests, this paper proposes a simulation model of high temperature superconducting transformer using PSCAD/EMTDC, which can be applied to the utility network simulation readily under various system conditions.

  • Micro-Grid comprising Micro-Sources supplying several $kW{\sim}MW$ power to local customers is environmentally friendly and reliable. This paper deals with the development of simulation models of Micro-Grid on the PSCAD/EMTDC platform for analyzing various aspects of the interaction of the Micro-Grid. The developed switching level model adopts the space vector PWM. Both switching level and power frequency Micro-Source models are developed, which shows that power frequency modeling is sufficient for analyzing the phenomena of interest. Control characteristics of the Micro-Sources with the parameter and load power variation are analyzed for power quality enhancement. The simulation results show that the developed models are effective for studying Micro-Grid.

  • This study proposes a model of 1.5MVA wind power system in Go-chang field demonstration and performs simulation according to variable wind speed. 1.5MVA wind power system was verified by computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software. Terminal voltage, grid voltage and active/reactive power can be observed through the simulation results.

  • 최근 태양광 및 풍력과 같은 신재생에너지원을 기반으로 한 국가정책에 따라 대규모의 분산전원이 도입 운용되고 있다. 그러나 대용량 분산전원의 계통연계에 대한 기술기준 및 체계적인 선로운영 기술기준이 미흡한 상태이며 정상상태 운용에서 태양광이 배전계통에 연계시 수용가 말단에 전력품질과 고조파 문제가 발생하여 분산전원의 배전계통 전압변동 특성 해석이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 태양광 전원이 배전계통에 연계 운전시 발생되는 문제를 분석하기 위해 배전계통의 대표적인 상용소프트웨어인 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용하여 모델링을 수행하였다. 그리고 Simulation결과와 이론적인 수식과 비교, 분석을 통해 PV의 계통연계 전압특성을 제시하였다.

  • In this paper, we present basic modeling of Juju power system using PSCAD/EMTDC. In detail, models of bipolar HVDC system, power transmission line, basic thermal power plant, load, and wind farm have been developed for Jeju power system. For evaluating basic dynamic behavior, we tested the system with a simple scenario and the test result showed acceptable response.

  • 국가의 녹색성장 정책으로 풍력 및 태양광 등의 신 재생 에너지가 배전계통에 지속적으로 연계 운용될 것이다. 하지만 태양광 및 풍력의 출력변동으로 배전계통 전압품질에 상당한 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 여기에 더하여 부하특성에 의한 부하전류 변동 또한 전압문제에 직접적으로 영향을 미친다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 PSCAD/EMTDC를 통해 가장 많이 이용되고 있는 부하모델인 ZIP모델을 이용하여 각각의 부하 특성과 3MW의 풍력이 배전계통 말단에 연계된 경우를 상정하여 풍속3[m/s]에서 12[m/s]로 급속한 변동시, 순시전압 데이터와 계통연계가이 드라인 의 순시전압변동 기준과 비교/분석을 통해 부하별 풍력발전의 전압변동특성을 해석하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, the virtual power grid of Jeju in 2020 is modelled including not only VSC HVDC(Voltage Source Current-High Voltage Direct Current) but also wind power generators as 200MW for onshore and 500MW for offshore by PSCAD/EMTDC. Each active power and reactive power are able to controlled by the VSC HVDC. In addition, to verify the characteristic of the modeling VSC HVDC, those wind power generators are cut off from the grid. The result show that the modeling power grid of Jeju become stabilized after 0.1second from failure.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광전원용 3상 인버터의 배전계통 연계시의 동특성을 이해하고 해석하기 위하여, dq좌표변환과 원하는 전압의 크기와 위상을 만들어 내기 위해 사용한 비례적분 제어기(Proportinal Controller : PI), 출력전류 제어를 위한 전류제어 알고리즘, 2상/3상 변환 및 인버터의 Sinusoidal PWM방식의 인버터 설계에 대한 이론적인 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 태양광발전의 모델링을 수행하여, Simulation 결과와 산술적 해석의 비교, 분석을 통하여 모델링의 유효성을 확인하였다.

  • Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) used in variable speed constant frequency wind energy generation system can capture wind energy with the highest efficiency by using the stator flux oriented vector control method. This paper sets up a DFIG modeling of wind generation system in PSCAD/EMTDC to simulate the operational performance with wind speed variation. In order to achieve the characteristics of the maximum utilization of wind power, this paper uses the vector control technology to track largest wind power and the independent control of generator active and reactive power.

  • This paper describes operational analysis results of the DC micro-grid using detailed model of distributed generation. Detailed model of wind power generation, photo-voltaic generation, fuel-cell generation was implemented with the user-defined model of PSCAD/EMTDC software that is coded with C-language. Various simulation results confirm that the DC micro-grid can operate without any problem in both the interconnected mode and the islanded mode. The operation analysis result confirms that the DC micro-grid make it feasible to provide power to the load stably.
