This study finds that the South Korean government's public diplomacy efforts have focused on promotional activities such as the "K-wave" or responses to controversial historical issues. However, the South Korean government needs to be more prepared for strategic responses to unexpected crises and subsequent communications. This paper attempts to apply crisis communication research developed in the field of public relations to public diplomacy. To do so, this research reviewed theories in crisis communication, an essential area of public relations, and developed a crisis communication model. The model was then applied to several crisis case studies to suggest how to develop response strategies and conduct communications. As a result, this research developed an Ongoing Public Diplomacy Crisis Communication Model (PDCCM) that can be applied to public diplomacy research and practice. The model identifies four crisis communication principles (be quick, be open, be consistent, be authentic) that should be applied in six phases. Following continuous social listening and monitoring, governments should analyze crisis situations using sense-making, develop short- and long-term crisis response objectives, response strategies, and communication messages depending on the level of responsibility, implement crisis communication, and conduct post-crisis evaluation.

Nowadays, Smart media services such as smartphone applications are proliferated through the convergence of social media and the information and communication technologies(ICT). In many countries, the ICT policy is strategically used to solve the economic recession and high unemployment rate caused by the global financial crisis. However, the Korean ICT policies have declined with the abolition of the Ministry of information and communication. This paper suggests the dynamic quality of life as a philosophical foundation of Korean ICT policy and the dynamic policy PR methods for the social consultation and people's approval(national consensus), because the component of dynamic quality of life are embodied in the elements of ICT policy that should be realized through the governance, in which both Korean government and people produce and consume the ICT policies together in the era of smart media.

The year 1997 was when Korean Journal of Public Relations Research started to publish research articles. This study addresses the issue of theories in Korean public relations research. A total of 166 research papers are analyzed to see characteristics and changes during 2003-2012. Through this meta analysis, the researcher tries to see the big picture and discusses the right direction for the future of the public relations in many ways. Three different groupings were adopted to classify theories in the 10 year perion - 1. origins of theories(public relations field, related neighbor field, distant field), 2. target of analysis(individual, organization, society), 3. level of approach (systematic pluralistic, rhetorical, critical approach). According to the findings, though getting better, it was 'cold season' in public relations research because theories utilized in Korean public relations research were not very excellent qualitatively and qualitatively. Interdisciplinary approach is discussed.

Situational Crisis communication theory (SCCT), one of the major crisis communication theories, suggests that crisis managers have to choose the most effective crisis response strategy in accordance to the crisis type. However, there's a controversy over whether this theory is practically applicable in Korea. Therefore, this study analyzed statements of apology to see if companies in Korea are actually taking different response strategy according to the types of crisis. According to the result of analysis on 244 apology statements published in the newspapers from 2012 to spring of 2015, adaptive response strategy was mostly taken no matter what the crisis type was. In conclusion, there's a discrepancy in crisis response strategy between the theory suggested in SCCT and the current practices in Korea. This conclusion can contribute to devising an appropriate application of SCCT in Korea and to develop a more Korea relevant theory.

This study is an example of a class of bibliotherapy through Lee Chung-joon's novel Snowy Road. Bibliotherapy proceeds through the process of identification, catharsis, expression, insight, and application through reading. Through research, students objectively examine the situation of the character in the novel and compare it with their own situation. Students evaluate the situation of the character in the novel, experience the various life positions of the character in the novel by answering "What would you do if I were a character in the novel," and express their willingness to live differently from their lives. At the same time, I look into my relationship with my parents and seriously think about whether there is a problem and how to solve it if there is one. Through this process, students specifically suggest ways to think about and solve their emotions and problems. In the end, students' hurt feelings can be partially or sufficiently healed through reading. Through this study, it is expected that the method of bibliotherapy will be more concrete and develop in a positive direction.

선박의 선위 추측(DR, Dead Reckoning)은 수신되거나 측정된 위치 데이터와 속력, 침로 데이터만을 반영하여 계산하므로 대양의 항해나 연근해의 해역에서는 유효할 수 있으나 침로의 변경과 선속의 변화가 잦은 항계 내의 조선에 있어서는 적용이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 선박의 추측위치(DRP, Dead Reckoning Position)는 선박의 운항 패턴에 따라 항계 내의 항적 데이터를 수집하고, 수신된 위치 데이터와 속력, 침로 데이터를 점장위도항법(Mercator Sailing)을 통하여 계획항로(Planned Route)의 각 변침점(WP, Waypoint)간 침로(Course)와 항정(Ship's Passage)에 반영하였다. 제안된 추측위치 산출방법을 통하여 항계 내의 조선과정에서 계획항로를 선박의 추측위치와 결합하여 특정 시간 후의 상황패턴을 미리 예측하고 관제사의 의사결정에 기여하고자 한다.

이 논문은 크게 두 부분으로 구성되었는데, 첫째 부분은 의학연구 목적에 따라 요구되는 분석법을 소개하고 있고, 둘째 부분은 국내 의학논문에서 통계처리의 잘못의 유형과 빈도를 제시하고 있습니다. 첫째 부분인 여러 분석법의 소개에서는 분석법의 열거로 보아서는 통계인들에게 새로운 것이 많지 않다고 언뜻 느껴지시겠지만, 실제로는 여러 면에서 새로운 점이 많습니다. 이 차이점을 살펴보면 우선 rate와 proportion과 ratio란 용어를 구분하여 사용하고 있고, 이들의 사용이 요구되는 의학적인 경우도 분명히 다름을 의학연구의 예제와 연구목적에 따라 제시하였습니다. 교과서처럼 쓸 수 있어서 설명이 부족합니다만, 의학에서 요구되는 구체적인 상황은 매우 다릅니다. 여러 가지 연구의 하나인 원인성연구를 살펴보면 measure of association으로써 rate difference (RD), rate ratio (PR)과 odds ratio (OR)의 세가지가 제시되었고, 이 measure에 대해서도 각각이 요구되는 의학적인 경우가 분명히 다르며, 또한 각각에 따른 분석기법도 다름을 논문에서 볼 수 있습니다.

Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) has become an important concern in food safety. Until now, 36 cases of BSE have been detected in Japan. Control programs have led to a decrease in the annual numbers, and Japan has now been categorized as a "controlled risk" country by the World Animal Health Organization (OIE). In spite of a worldwide decrease in the number of BSE cases, sporadic occurrences of atypical BSE cases have been reported. In Japan, 2 atypical BSE cases were confirmed. A Japanese L-type-BSE (BSE/JP24) has exhibited transmissibility to bovinized transgenic mice (TgBoPrP) it has a shorter incubation period than that of classical BSE. Although the origin of atypical BSE is obscure, risk analysis of newly emerged BSE prions of cattle and humans is required.

This study is an example of a Cinema Therapy class through the movie Life of Pi (2013). Cinema Therapy proceeds through the process of identification, empathy, projection, and observational learning through the cinema. Through research, students objectively examine the situation of the characters in the movie, identify themselves, and empathize with them. Students evaluate the situation of the character in the movie, and indirectly experience the hardships facing the character in the movie through the answer to "What would you do if I were the main character?" and think about what they would do. I admire the outstanding points of the main character and reflect on my life. Through this process, students examine the situation of their emotions and problems and specifically suggest ways to solve them. In the end, students' emotions can be fully healed through the movie. Healing through the cinema should start with the selection of the cinema in consideration of the healer's client. It is also necessary to sufficiently present a specific method of applying this. It is expected that the cinema healing plan will be able to develop further by presenting various healing methods in the future.

The purpose of the study was to perform a comparative analysis of the success and failure cases to increase the completeness of vault "Shirai-Kim Hee Hoon" technique. The subject of the study was "K" a male gymnast from Korean Artistic Gymnastic National team. The results obtained through the three-dimensional analysis during international as well as practice session are as follows: Firstly, excluding BC, the lead time in each PrF, HC and PoF phases were shorter during successful trials than in failure trials. Secondly, during successful trials, the horizontal and vertical velocity appeared to be higher during taking off, which contributed positively to the leaping motion in the horizontal direction. Thirdly, when compared with successful and failure trials, the body's angular rotation was highly maintained during the takeoff from the spring board followed by larger thigh angular displacement at the vault before actually attempting the backward rotation.
