The POS(Point Of Sales) system is S/W and H/W that enables to analyse and evaluate sales information that has been collected in the real-time at point of sales by each department in the store. However, existing POS systems are mainly aiming at the large scaled store with the specific high-priced equipment, so that in applying them to a store specializing in food have weak point to use them in the cost or scale respect. In this paper, we design and implement a web based POS system with PC(Personal Computer) and PDA/(Personal Digital Assistant) in wireless internet environment to apply POS system to a store specializing in food, without specific equipments.

In order to settle down structural causes of the process of distribution and apparel production in domestic fashion industry, and to raise competitive power with changing market environment, we need to bulid up Quick Response(QR) system based on information technology such as EDI(Electronic Data Interchange), KAN(Korea Article Number), and POS(Point of Sales), POS is the most valuable information tool to promote QR system paractically. The purpose of this study was to investigate motivation of POS adoption, problems in operating the system, and satisfaction on POS effects. Data were collected by sending questionnaire to the managers in apparel firms which were using POS. Statistical devices were t-test, frequency with SAS program. The results fo the study were as follows: 1. The degree of satisfaction to POS effects was rather good. Especially, rapid evaluations on new products gave the greatest satisfaction to the users. 2. Satisfaction degree of POS effects according to introduces time and organization characteristic(number of employees) have no significant difference, but the firms which have higher annual sales volume showed higher satisfaction degree. Merchandise department showed higher satisfaction on POS effects. 3. The motivation of POS adoption was an effective logistics control with consumer information as a marketing strategy. The problems in operating the system were lack of investment, and professionals. They almost didn't have KAN code, instead, have their own code system.

최근 스마트폰이 대중화되면서 대부분의 일상생활을 스마트폰을 이용한다. 그리고 많은 매장에서도 POS(Point of sales)를 사용하고 있다. 이 둘의 공통점은 사용자가 간편하고 빠르게 사용할 수 있다는 장점이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 장점을 살려 휴대용 POS 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 휴대용 POS 애플리케이션은 서버와 클라이언트로 구성되며, 서버는 매출 정보, 메뉴 정보, 주문 정보 등으로 구성되어 있다. 휴대용 POS 애플리케이션은 매장에 있지 않아도 스마트폰을 이용하여 서버에 저장된 정보를 확인할 수 있어 실시간으로 매장 및 매출 현황을 알 수 있어, 판매 전략을 신속하게 세워나갈 수 있다.

The development of POS (Point of Sales) systems for small retailers according to their needs is considered to be important to improve their competitive advantages. However, their financial statuses hinder the adoption of the tailored POS systems. Viewing ASP as a viable solution to provide tailored POS systems for the small retailers, this study develops ASP POS service models for the small retailers. First, this study elicits ASP POS requirements of the small retailers in the following areas: merchandising, pricing, store design and display, customer service, advertising and promotion and personal selling. Then, the requirements are clustered and the clusters are analyzed based on the characteristics of the retailers. Then, ASP service models are proposed according to the needs and profiles of the retailers.

In this paper, we introduced a POS(Point of Sale) system for a wallpaper company. We designed the database schema for the POS system, and proposed various application areas of the POS system. Especially, we discussed such application areas as inventory control, marketing, product development, and distribution channel. The quality of product management is enhanced by precise ABC inventory control and safety stock control. Marketing strategies can be more precisely established, and their effects can be measured. The development time can be shortened and new products can be developed based on the real market demands. Distributors can improve their management quality using precise sales data.

A Point-of-Sales (POS) terminal manages the selling process by a salesperson accessible interface in real time. Using a POS system makes a business and customer management much more efficient. For these reasons, many store install POS terminal and used it. But it has many problem that stealing personal information by hacking and insider corruption. Because POS system stored payment information like that sales information, card valid period, and password. In this paper, I proposed software integrity verification technique in POS system based on White list. This method can prevent accidents that personal information leak by hacking and POS system forge and falsification. This proposed method provides software integrity, so it can prevent inside and outside threats in advance.

본 연구는 최근 물류 활동 전반에 걸쳐 무선주파수를 이용해 상품과 사물에 내장된 정보를 읽어내는 기술인 RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) 응용기술과 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 POS(POS : point of sales) 시스템의 발전 형태를 예측하여, 향후 국내 외 대형 할인점에서 적용할 수 있는 RFID 기반의 이동형 u-POS 시스템의 핵심기술개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구는 RFID 기반의 이동형 u-POS 시스템의 핵심기술을 크게 H/W와 S/W로 구분하여 H/W 측면으로는 기존의 쇼핑 Cart를 대체 할 수 있는 u-Cart 개발을 목표로 하고, S/W 측면으로는 기존의 POS 시스템과 연동 할 수 있는 u-Cart의 클라이언트 어플리케이션과 매장관리 서비스 모듈의 개발을 목표로 한 내용에 대하여 발표하고자 한다.

The POS system has been developing into an co-operational information integration system, enlarging its range of application - from basic data collection to production information, inventory management and customer service. The POS system will increase operation efficiency. It is my suggestion that POS system should be adopted in domestic industries regardless of increasing adoption of the RFID. This paper was made studied of the POS system and the practical use of POS system in order to maximize the efficiency of inventory management for various companies.

본 논문에서는 음식점을 방문한 고객이 앉은 자리에서 직원을 부르지 않고 바로 주문/호출 메시지를 POS(Point Of Sales)기에 보낼 수 있는 인플레이스 주문 시스템에 대해 기술한다. 이는 고객이 가지고 있는 스마트모바일 기기의 앱과 테이블에 부착된 NFC(Near Field Communication) 인식을 통해 테이블정보와 주문/호출정보를 보낼 수 있다. 이 시스템을 통해 직원의 활동 동선을 줄여줄 수 있으며, 이로인해 고객에게 더 빠른 대응을 해 줄 수 있게 될 것이다.
