상변화물질을 이용한 PMMA 복합필름의 방열 성능 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Heat Dissipation Characteristics of PMMA Composite Films with Phase Change Material)

  • 본 연구에서는 전자기기 사용에 이슈가 되고 있는 발열 문제를 해결하고자 상변화물질(PCM)의 잠열 특성을 이용하여 폴리메틸메타크릴레이트(PMMA) 복합필름을 제조하고 방열 성능을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 용융온도가 서로 다른 두 가지의 상변화물질을 사용하여 제작한 PCM/PMMA 복합필름의 열적 특성을 비교 분석하여 다양한 사용조건에 따른 유효성을 검증하였고, Compression Molding 방법과 PCM Paste Sealing 방법에 따른 PCM/PMMA 복합필름의 방열 특성을 비교 분석하여 최대의 방열 효과를 달성할 수 있는 최적의 방법을 도출하였다. 또한 PCM/PMMA 복합필름의 방열 성능을 최대화하기 위해 열전도율이 높은 흑연과 그래핀을 추가로 적층하여 제조한 Hybrid 복합필름의 열적 특성을 분석하였고, 이들을 통해 향상된 방열 성능을 실험적으로 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 방열 성능이 우수한 복합필름은 다양한 전자기기에 활용되어 발열 문제를 효과적으로 해결할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

LBL 법을 이용한 기능성 나노 입자 제조 (Fabrication of functional nanoparticles by layer-by-layer self-assembly method)

  • PMMA 입자의 표면에 양전하를 갖는 전해질 폴리머 PDDA와 음전하를 갖는TALH를 사용하여 $TiO_2$ 박막을 LBL 법에 의해 성공적으로 제조하였다. 수정진동자의 측정을 통해 TALH의 용액의 pH가 감소됨에 따라 TALH의 적층량이 늘어나고 PMMA의 입자 표면에 코팅된 (PDDA/TALH) 박막의 두께가 증가됨을 확인하였다. (PDDA/TALH)n의 순서에 의해 코팅된 PMMA 입자들은 bilayer 수의 변화에 따라 다양한 색 변화를 보여주었다. (PDDA/TALH) 박막의 bilayer 수(n)가 10과 20 일 경우에 $a^*$$b^*$의 값은 막이 코팅되지 않은 PMMA의 값보다 감소하였고 색 변화는 $a^*$, $b^*$ 색도도에서 각각 green과 blue 방향으로 이동하였다. 이후 n의 수가 30, 40으로 증가됨에 따라 $a^*$$b^*$의 값은 증가하였고 색의 변화는 red와 yellow 방향으로 각각 이동하였다. 최종적으로 $(PDDA/TALH)_{50}$ 박막이 코팅된 PMMA 입자들은 박막이 코팅되지 않은 PMMA 입자들과 거의 비슷한 $a^*$$b^*$의 값을 보여주었다.

고 열방사 투명 고분자 합성막 연구 (A Study on Transparent Polymer Composite Films with High Emissivity)

  • We have fabricated transparent polymer composite films with high thermal emissivity, which can be used for heat dissipation of transparent electronics. PMMA (poly(methyl methacrylate)) solution with high transparency and thermal emissivity is mixed with various fillers (carbon nanotubes (CNTs), aluminum nitride (AlN), or silicon carbide (SiC)) with high thermal conductivity. We have achieved the thermal emissivity as high as 0.94 by the addition of CNTs. Compared with the PMMA film on glass, however, the addition of AlN or SiC is shown to rather decrease the thermal emissivity. It is also observed that the thickness of the PMMA film does not affect its thermal emissivity. To avoid any degradation of the thermal conductivity, therefore, the PMMA film thickness is desirable to be $1{\mu}m$. There also exists a tradeoff between the optical transmittance and thermal conductivity on the selection of the amount of fillers.

PMMA/PBA와 PBA/PMMA Core Shell 복합입자의 제조 - 유화제의 영향 - (Manufacture of PMMA/PBA and PBA/PMMA core Shell Composite Particles - Effect of emulsifier -)

  • PMMA와 PBA core 제조 시 개시제는 APS를, 유화제 SDBS의 농도를 0.01에서 0.03 wt% 일 때 전환율이 95.8과 92.3%로 가장 우수하였으며, core-shell 복합입자의 제조 시에는 SDBS의 농도 0.02 wt% 일 때 PMMA/PBA core-shell 복합입자는 전환율이 90.0%, PBA/PMMA core-shell 복합입자는 89.0%가 되었다. FT-IR 분석과 GPC에 의한 평균분자량 측정을 통해 core와 shell 단량체들이 중합되어 있음을 확인하고, 복합입자의 형태는 상온에서의 필름형성정도와 TEM 분석으로 확인하였다. DSC에 의해 유리전이온도를 측정함으로써 일반 공중합체와는 달리 2개의 유리전이온도가 존재하여 core-shell 복합입자가 형성되었음을 알 수 있고, 각각의 core-shell 복합입자의 인장강도와 신율의 측정을 통해 고기능성 접착바인더로서의 사용가능성을 확인하였다.

  • A bottom contact organic thin film transistor (OTFT) is fabricated with an organic double-layered gate insulator (GI) and pentacene. The PMMA and MNB layers are treated on gate insulator and source/drain (S/D, Au) before depositing pentacene to investigate device properties and pentacene growth. The sequence of surface treatment affects a device performance seriously. The ultra-thin PMMA (below 50A) was deposited on organic gate insulator and S/D metal by spin coating method, which showed no deterioration of on-state current (Ion) although bottom contact structure was exploited. We proposed that the reason of no contact resistance (Rc) increase may be due to a wettability difference in between PMMA / Au and PMMA / organic GI. As a result, the device treated by $PMMA\;{\rightarrow}\;MNB$ showed much better Ion behavior than those fabricated by $MNB\;{\rightarrow}\;PMMA$. We will report the important physical and electrical performance difference associated with surface treatment sequence.

Organic transistor comprising a polymer gate insulator

  • We report the performance of pentacene-based organic thin film transistors (OTFT) with PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) as the gate insulator which was spin-coated on the ITO (indium tin oxide) glass substrate which was used as the gate contact. The pentacene thin film was deposited on the PMMA film and then Au source/drain contacts were deposited through shadow mask. The pentacene film shows better molecular ordering on PMMA compared with $SiO_2$ of Si wafer. The devices exhibited the field effect mobility of ${\sim}0.004cm^2$/Vs and on/off current ratio of ${\sim}10^3$.

  • 본 논문에서는 유기박막트랜지스터용 절연막에 활용코자 플라즈마중합방법을 이용하여 PMMA 절연막을 제작하였다. 기판의 바이어스인가 및 증착중 압력변화에 따른 전기적특성을 파악한 결과, 플라즈마중합법에 의한 MMA절연막의 증착조건 RF100[W], Ar20[sccm], 5[mtorr], RF bias 20[W] 에서 3.4의 유전율, 8.6[nm/min]의 높은 증착율 및 높은 절연특성을 얻을수 있다. 이처럼 얻어진 플라즈마 중합막은 유기트랜지스터 및 유기메모리의 절연막으로 충분히 활용가능함을 알 수 있다.

  • Organic thin film transistors with a pentacene active layer and various polymer gate insulators were fabricated and their performances were investigated. Characteristics of pentacene thin film transistors on different polymer substrates were investigated using an atomic force microscope (AFM) and x-ray diffraction (XRD). The pentacene thin films were deposited by thermal evaporation on the gate insulators of various polymers. Hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS), polyvinyl acetate (PVA) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) were fabricated as the gate insulator where a pentacene layer was deposited at 40, 55, 70, 85, 100 oC. Pentacene thin films on PMMA showed the largest grain size and least trap concentration. In addition, pentacene TFTs of top-contact geometry are compared with PMMA and $SiO_2$ as gate insulators, respectively. We also fabricated pentacene TFT with Poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-Polysturene Sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) electrode by inkjet printing method. The physical and electrical characteristics of each gate insulator were tested and analyzed by AFM and I-V measurement. It was found that the performance of TFT was mainly determined by morphology of pentacene rather than the physical or chemical structure of the polymer gate insulator

Surface Structure of Blend Films of Styrene/Acrylonitrile Copolymer and Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) or Hydrolyzed PMMA

  • The compatibility and the surface structure of blends of poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) with either poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) or hydrolyzed PMMA (H-PMMA) were studied in terms of film thickness, interaction, and surface free energy difference on the basis of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), attenuated total reflection Fourier transform IR spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy. The XPS measurement showed that the surface enrichment of (PMMA/SAN) blends with different AN contents of SAN and with different carboxyl acid contents of PMMA was dependent on the molecular interaction, the surface free energy difference between components and the sample preparation history. It was found that the compatibility of H-PMMA and SAN was reduced with increasing carboxyl acid content of PMMA.

분극성입자 현탁액을 이용한 투과도 가변필름의 투과도 및 응답특성 (Transmittance and Responce Properties of the Light Transmission Controllable Films Prepared with Dipole Particles Suspension)

  • In order to improve transmittance and response properties, various compositions of light controllable films were prepared by phase separation method. The optical and response properties were measured with the variation of PMMA/suspension ratio and block copolymer/light polarizing particles. According to the increase of the PMMA/suspension ratio, the separated droplets of suspension were interconnected in the film. Decay time was 2.6 sec when PMMA/suspension ratio was 0.5 : 1 and ΔT(difference of the transmittance at OFF/ON states) was reduced with increasing of the ratio of PMMA/suspension. On block copolymer/light polarizing particles ratio variation, the highest transmittance of the film was 67.4% when its ratio was 0.6 : 1 and decay time was varied from 2.15 to 46.6 sec as block copolymer content increased 0.2 : 1 to 1 : 1.
