본 논문은 포항가속기연구소에서 건설중인 PLS 2 GeV 선형가속기 진공계통의 설계에 관한 것이다. PLS 2GeV 선형가속기의 진공계통은 길이 3.07m인 42개의 가속관과 길이 약 400m의 도파관으로 구성되어 있다. 진공장치의 배치는 충분한 지역적 배기능력을 고려한 분산 배기방식으로 다지관 방식의 기계적 복잡성을 단순화하였다. 진공계는 가속관 중심과 도파관에서 5$\times$10-7Torr, 클라이스트론 출력장치에서 5$\times$10-8Torr까지 배기되도록 설계하였다. 주 진공펌프로는 가속관과 도파관 및 에너지 배가장치에 대하여 각각 용량이 60l/s와 120l/s인 sputter 이온펌프를 사용하기로 하였다.

It is significant issue to control the unwanted transverse electric (TE) modes in the vacuum chamber for preventing the position reading noise from the beam position monitor (BPM) of storage ring. We introduce shunt structure to control the frequency distribution of TE resonance modes excited in the vacuum chambers of the Pohang Light Source II (PLS-II). The design of shunt structure is performed using the full three dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation. It is verified that the sympton of the BPM noise is not oberved up to the beam current of 190 mA in the commmissioning of PLS-II.

In this paper, a computational analysis using a lumped system model is performed to investigate the hemodynamics of coronary circulation under the operation of T-PLS relevant to the cardiac arrest cases. The coronary circulation system is assumed to be comprised of three compartments: coronary arteries, coronary capillaries, and coronary veins. The effect of myocardial muscle contraction or relaxation is represented by temporal variations in the bias pressure. To verify the present method, we analyzed the coronary circulation for normal case and then compared the results with the existing data. Numerical results on the cardiac arrest model showed that T-PLS can increase LAD flow significantly.

In this paper, we propose factors that influence on the mobile commerce satisfaction conducted by data mining and a PLS regression analysis. We extracted the most frequent words from mobile application reviews in which there are a large number of user's requests. We employed the content analysis to condense the large number of texts. We took a survey with the categories by which data are condensed and specified as factors that influence on the mobile commerce satisfaction. To avoid multicollinearity, we employed a PLS regression analysis instead of using a multiple regression analysis. Discovered factors that are potential consequences of customer satisfaction from direct requests by customers, the result may be an appropriate indicator for the mobile commerce market to improve its services.

PLS(Plasma Light System) is one of the electrodeless lamp discharged by micro wave. In this new lamp has high efficacy and CRI(Color Rendering Index). It is mainly composed of microwave part and optical part. Microwave parts consist of magnetron, wave-guide and cavity-mesh, while optical parts consist of bulb, mirror and reflector. In this paper, we studied experimentally the heat-resistance and temperature distribution characteristics of bulb in PLS.

In this paper, We observed degradation characteristics of luminous flux for PLS. Because degradation tests can be a useful tool for assessing the reliability when few or even no failures are expected in a life tests, and we also use a temperature chamber to accelerate degradation of luminous flux for PLS. As a result, Exponential distribution and equation is best suitable model for PLS.

This paper describes the problem generated in PLS luminous flux measurement with integrating sphere. In RS case, we don't use the center position of the sphere but side position for flux test The difference of the lamp position makes the luminous flux difference of same light source. We confirmed the phenomenon with three other kinds of lamps and ensured the repeatability and reliability of this work at two laboratories. finally, the correction factor which should be applied for the PLS test at Side position was calculated.

본 논문은 모델트리 알고리즘인 M5에 부분최소법(PLS: Partial Least Square)을 적용하여 클로로필-a 농도의 예측 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 M5을 이용하여 모델트리를 구축한 후 잎노드에서 PLS를 적용하여 지역모델(local model)을 구축한다. 제안된 방법의 우수성을 보이기 위해 수질 데이터를 대상으로 실험한 결과 기존의 M5 방식에 비하여 향상된 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.

This study reconstructed the military logistics improvement project currently being implemented by ROK military as a defense logistics strategy. In addition the factors affecting the performance of the defense logistics strategy are analyzed using PLS. The significance of this study is as follows. First, the defense logistics improvement project was structured as a defense logistics strategy according to function. Second, PLS is used for performance factor analysis. Most of the existing defense researches utilized the ML structural equation. However, this study used the PLS structural equation in view of the fact that each detail project is the formation of defense logistics strategy. Third, we identified projects that have a substantial impact on defense logistics performance and those that do not. We found that inventory, process, and information strategy influenced logistics performance among defense logistics strategies. On the other hand, it was confirmed that the facility/equipment strategy had no significant effect on defense logistics performance.

The spread of smartphone in Korea causes several side effects and raises concerns. Especially, recently the addiction to smartphone of elementary school children has been paid attention to by their parents, teachers, and so on. After literature review, this research presented hypotheses that depression would affect children's addiction to smartphone positively and school life satisfaction (SLS) negatively, in turn their addiction to smartphone would affect SLS negatively. We employed Partial Least Square (PLS) path modeling to test the hypotheses. We found that all hypotheses were supported. The findings of this study suggest that their families and school authorities should make valid measures to lessen children's depression for preventing addicting to smartphone and, in turn, increasing SLS.
