  • Medical paradigm shift has been based on disease treatment into wellness care so that changes need more IT-based smart medical services. In addition, individual based smart devices are more focused on healthcare services and can provide access to personal medical information, health conditions and social welfare managed by users. In this paper, IEEE11073 PHD (Personal Health Devices) and HL7 (Health Level 7) standards of legacy healthcare devices are developed for communicating with each individual based smart device and providing healthcare service in smart TV environment through a unified home healthcare gateway.

  • Hypoxia is associated with many pathological conditions as well as the normal physiology of metazoans. We identified a lactate-dependent signaling pathway in hypoxia, mediated by the oxygen- and lactate-regulated protein NDRG family member 3 (NDRG3). Oxygen negatively regulates NDRG3 expression at the protein level via the PHD2/VHL system, whereas lactate, produced in excess under prolonged hypoxia, blocks its proteasomal degradation by binding to NDRG3. We also found that the stabilized NDRG3 protein promotes angiogenesis and cell growth under hypoxia by activating the Raf-ERK pathway. Inhibiting cellular lactate production abolishes NDRG3-mediated hypoxia responses. The NDRG3-Raf-ERK axis therefore provides the genetic basis for lactate-induced hypoxia signaling, which can be exploited for the development of therapies targeting hypoxia-induced diseases in addition to advancing our understanding of the normal physiology of hypoxia responses. • In this paper, we present a new approach for automatic detection and tracking for multiple targets. We combine a highest probability data association(HPDA) algorithm for target detection with a particle filter for multiple target tracking. The proposed approach evaluates the probabilities of one-to-one assignments of measurement-to-track and the measurement with the highest probability is selected to be target- originated, and the measurement is used for probabilistic weight update of particle filtering. The performance of the proposed algorithm for target tracking in clutter is compared with the existing clustering algorithm and the sequential monte carlo method for probability hypothesis density(SMC PHD) algorithm for multi-target detection and tracking. Computer simulation studies demonstrate that the HPDA algorithm is robust in performing automatic detection and tracking for multiple targets even though the environment is hostile in terms of high clutter density and low target detection probability.

  • The performance of crash cushion systems is certified through the full scale crash tests by the standard for installation and maintenance guidelines for roadside safety appurtenance. The impact severities of impacting vehicles in collision with crash cushion systems are rated by indices THIV and PHD. Crash test results are considered to study the performance of three crash cushion systems. In case of the frontal impact or the offset frontal impact, the results show that THIV values of three systems are very close to the threshold limit for the occupant protection. Also, the results show that PHD would be improper for the occupant protection performance index. In order to improve the occupant protection performance of crash cushions, ASI needs to be included in the impact severity index.

  • To verify the performance of roadside safety facilities, strength and occupant protection test are performed by evaluation criteria. Strength test use a truck and occupant protection test use a sedan. Strength perfomance is analyzed pass rate by post lateral resistance of the safety barrier. Occupant protection performance is analyzed from THIV(Theoretical Head Impact Velocity) and PHD(Post-impact Head Deceleration) by crash cushion test.

  • In mobile healthcare applications, the reliable transmission of the bio-data is very important. In this article, we present a reliable bio-data transmission technique for mobile healthcare monitoring service at 6LoWPAN multi-hop wireless networks. In particular, we expand IEEE 11073-20601 protocol, and propose the reliable path construction for 6LoWPAN aimed to reliably provide mobile healthcare service over wireless sensor network, using IPv6 network. 6LoWPAN is recognized possibility because it is agree with sensor network by raising Adaptation layer on the MAC layer to transmit IPv6 packets. In this article proposed minimize the algorithm complexity and reliability routing protocol because the 6LoWPAN devices are suitable for low cost, small size and battery that can be used to health care system environment. And detailed procedures and algorithms are presented. We the proposed method to prove the superiority of using NS-3 for compareing with AODV protocol.
