A Study on the Real Status and Future Prospect of Wireless Internet (무선인터넷의 현황과 미래전망에 관한 연구)

  • 21세기 산업 분야의 근간은 정보통신 산업이며 그 정보통신 기술의 두 축은 인터넷과 무선통신이다. 무선인터넷은 인터넷의 즉시성과 휴대전화와 개인정보단말기(PDA)의 이동성을 합한 개념으로 무선단말기를 통해 인터넷을 이용하거나 전자상거래를 할 수 있는 서비스이다. 무선인터넷은 사용자가 이동 중에도 무선망을 통해 인터넷에 접속, 원하는 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 환경과 기술이라고 할 수 있다. 이처럼 무선인터넷의 핵심은 모바일 즉, 단순히 선이 없다는 의미가 아니라 이동중이라도 언제 어디서라도 인터넷에 접속이 가능하다는 것이다. 현재 국내 무선인터넷 시장은 각종 사업 제휴, 사업설명회, 세미나 등 무선인터넷과 관련해 활발히 움직이고 있고, 막대한 투자와 기술 개발 또한 지속적으로 진행되고 있다. 이처럼 이동통신사업자, 콘텐츠, 솔루션, 단말기 등의 거의 모든 사업자가 초기 시장 선점을 위한 경쟁이 치열하다. 무선인터넷은 이동통신과 인터넷 서비스의 결합으로 이동중에 무선으로 인터넷 정보를 송, 수신할 수 있는 서비스로서 이는 단순문자정보서비스(SMS)방식과 WAP 또는 ME 브라우저를 탑재한 무선인터넷 서비스 방식으로 구분할 수 있다. 무선인터넷은 차세대 이동통신(IMT-2000)과 접목되면서 기존 IT산업 자체를 전면 재편하게 될 것으로 전망되고있다. 하지만 무선인터넷 활성화를 위해서는 사업자들의 지속적인 기술 개발, 콘텐츠 개발, 요금 체계 개선 등도 중요하지만 정부의 정책적 배려와 무료에 익숙해져 있는 사용자들의 인식 변화 등 다양한 차원에서의 노력이 필요하다.

  • Recently most of the study about home-networking middleware take the way of web-control through the internet. Although the way of control using wire and PDA also be taken, but does not use standard techniques like UPnP and is limited in the technique controlling simple device. This paper is about the development of a Voice Gateway controlling many kinds of UPnP controlling devices connected to network. voice gateway is consisted of MPC850 module and phone interface and the set-top box, a part of computer in voice gateway is consisted of PSTN interface, information controlling process and the process of UPnP protocol. And I tried to implement this through entire system board.

  • 사람들의 건강에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 이러한 사람들의 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있는 다양한 서비스가 개발되어지고 있다. 헬스-관광 서비스는 관광 서비스와 헬스 서비스를 접목하여 관광객의 건강관리를 도와주는 서비스이다. 헬스-관광 서비스는 PDA의 지리정보 및 관광정보를 활용하여 방문할 관광지역과 이동방법을 선정한다. 시스템은 사용자의 기본 정보와 이동반경을 계산하여 사용자의 예상 운동량을 산출하여 보여주고, 사용자는 해당 정보를 바탕으로 전체 관광코스를 선정한다. 실 운동량 측정은 관광객의 이동거리, 이동속도, 고도, 맥박, 체온 등의 정보를 이용하여 측정하고, 측정된 운동량을 사용자에게 알려준다. 또한 실 운동량이 예상 운동량과 비교하여 과도하거나 부족한 경우 관광코스의 수정을 유도하여 적정량의 운동을 할 수 있도록 코치할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 헬스-관광 서비스 시스템의 서비스 방법을 제안하고, 헬스-관광 서비스 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • In this paper we propose wear-UCAM, which is a toolkit for context-aware application model in wearable computing. As the rapid developments of mobile technologies and relevant technologies, the interests in wearable computer also become indispensible in both academic and industrial fields. However, there are few research activities on the application framework or toolkit for wearable computing. Hence, we suggest wear-UCAM as the development toolkit for wearable computing applications, where we focus on how to collect relevant user context, manage it, and provide services based on the recognized context. The proposed wear-UCAM includes the abstraction of context processing as well as independence among sensors and services with other components. For the sake of rapid prototyping of the proposed toolkit, we utilize PDA with wireless LAN as a wearable computer. The detail explanation of the implementation and its discussion are presented in this paper.

  • The spread of mobile devices, PDAs and sensors has enabled the construction of ubiquitous computing environments, transforming regular physical spaces into 'Smart space' augmented with intelligence and enhanced with services. However, the deployment of this computing paradigm in real-life is disturbed by poor security, particularly, the lack of proper authentication and authorization techniques. Also, it is very important not only to find security measures but also to preserve user privacy in ubiquitous computing environments. In this Paper, we propose efficient user authentication and authorization model with anonymity for the privacy-preserving for ubiquitous computing environments. Our model is suitable for distributed environments with the computational constrained devices by using MAC-based anonymous certificate and security association token instead of using Public key encryption technique. And our Proposed Protocol is better than Kerberos system in sense of cryptographic computation processing.

  • IPv6 is the internet protocol for next generation which can solve the problem of IPv4 protocol. Mobile IPv6 efficiently provides the mobility for mobile devices holding the properties of IPv6. iSCSI(Internet Small Computer System Interface) is a block-oriented storage access protocol that enables a user to recognize a remote storage as their own local block device through general TCP/IP networks. Since iSCSI uses a standard Ethernet switch and router for this kind of access, it can not only be applized to Ethernet technologies, but can also be used to create a storage networking system without any distance restrictions that can equally be applied to a wireless network environment. Accordingly, this paper presents an alternative approach to overcome the limited storage space of mobile devices based on the IPv6 iSCSI initiator driver which was originally designed for wired networks. Also, this paper describes about the implementation and performance analysis of mobile education service system using virtual storage devices in IPv6 wireless networks.

  • Lately, IT has been rapidly in land. as a result, mobile device come into wide use and is very important in everyday life. But in ship are limits network with communication Equipment and service. as a result, be far removed from information age. Currently, ship Is connected with the outside world via satellite on the voyage. but, because high billing, ship is possible data transfer using low speed bandwidth. because ship is not possible using LAN, only limit ship's crew some use internet in limited space. so, ship is required construction of the network. in this paper, because composition of basic IT environment with information need of crew and customer from ship to cruises, there construct LAN in ship and propose network design for network of ship.

  • Searching distributed resource efficiently is very important in distributed computing, cloud computing environment. Distributed resource searching may have system overheads and take much time in proportion to the searching number, because distributed resource searching has to circuit many peers for searching information. The open-source community project JXTA defines an open set of standard protocols for ad hoc, pervasive, peer-to-peer computing as a common platform for developing a wide variety of decentralized network applications. In this paper, we proposed peer search algorithm based on JXTA-Sim. original JXTA peer searching algorithm selected a loosely-consistent DHT. Our Lookup algorithm decreases message number of WALK_LOOKUP and reduce the network system overload, and we make a result of same performance both original algorithm and our proposed algorithm.

  • Only small numbers of medium-sized manufacturers have adopted a production management system. They have difficulty maintaining production cost and progress management, because they have used the ways that win a contract, not mass production system like a big company. Also a small company has to change standard features of products whenever customers want, by means of non-standardization and small quantity production method. As a result, it has been very difficult for a small company to establish a proper production management system. So, this paper tried to make a study about increasing production management system, using QR codes in a small-sized manufacturer with the ways that win a contract, based on real application case.

  • We are witnessing rapid increase of the number of wireless devices available today such as cell phones, PDAs, Wibro enabled devices. Because of the inherent limitation of the bandwidth available for wireless channels, broadcast systems have attracted the attention of the research community. The main problem in this area is to develop an efficient broadcast program. In this paper, we propose a dynamic broadcast method that overcomes the limitations of static broadcast programs. It optimizes the scheduling based on the probabilistic model of user requests. We show that dynamic broadcast system can indeed improve the quality of service using user requests. This paper extends our previous work in [1] to include more thorough explanation of the proposed methodology and diverse performance evaluation models.
