본 논문은 PCS (1750-1850 MHz)대역과 IMT-2000 (1920-2170 MHz)대역의 이중대역 (Dual-Band) 주파수(420 MHz)를 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 "L"형태의 급전구조를 이용한 광대역 특성을 갖는 안테나로서 주파수 대역폭은 중심주파수(1.96 GHz)의 33%(VSWR < 1.5, 650 MHz)이고, 이득은 7dBi 이상의 양호한 특성을 얻었다.

In this paper, A CMOS power amplifier for PCS is designed with 0.65-$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. Differential cascode structure is used which has good reverse isolation and wide voltage swing. This amplifier circuits consist of three stages which are power amplification stage, driver stage and power control stage. We obtain output power of 30 ㏈m, IMD3 of -31㏈c and efficiency of 30 % at input power of 4 ㏈m.

This study is to increase capability of the DC/DC converter (for PCS) in miniaturizing, stabilizing by locating an inductor with the structure of multi layer on to the glass/ceramic circuit board. When the DC/DC converter is stimulated. the characteristic operation of PWM switching circuit, losses. output power to input power, stability, efficiency and interfaces inside of control circuit and convener circuit are to be distinguished. The process would make it able to develop the techniques of designing and manufacturing of the converter of next generation.

In this paper, we develope a intelligent monitoring system of Coastal Ocean Environment based on WWW(World Wide Web) and PCS(Personal Communication System). This system have capability of real time processing of enviromental variable from various sensors. The system is composed of three part. The first part is mathematical modeling of real ocean. The second is construction server for real time web page. And the third is developing the measurement system which has wireless(PCS) interface to server.

무선 통신 환경에서 기지국 안테나를 떠난 전파가 수신안테나에 도달하는 과정 중에 발생하는 전파 손실은 매우 복잡한 비선형 함수이다. 본 논문에서는 신경회로망을 사용한 전파 손실 모델을 제안하고, 3차원 지형 데이터를 이용하여 전파 환경을 반영할 수 있는 특징을 추출하여 이를 신경회로망에 적용함으로써 전파손실 예측모델을 생성하는 방법을 소개한다. 각 필드 측정 데이터에 대한 특징 값을 이용하여 신경회로망을 학습하여 예측모델을 완성한다. 또한, 서울 도심 지역의 실제 PCS 서비스 환경에 대한 실험결과를 통해 제안하는 모델의 우수성을 보인다.

GUI 환경에서 작업에 필요한 여러 윈도우를 작은 화면에 동시에 나타내기 위하여 많은 윈도우 시스템이 오버래핑 윈도우 관리 전략을 채택하고 있다. 하지만 개별 윈도우를 독립적으로 다룸으로써 작업전환시 개별 윈도우 단위의 정렬을 하여야 하는 등의 불필요한 작업을 수행하게 된다. 특히 본 연구의 목표 기종인 PCS 정보단말기는 320*240 크기의 소형 디스플레이 장치를 가지고 있기 때문에, 가시적인 작업 단위의 윈도우 그룹에 대한 빈번한 변경을 다루는데 부적합하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 작업 단위로 윈도우를 그룹화하는 방식으로 윈도우를 관리함으로써 보다 효율적으로 작업 전환을 수행하는 방법을 제안하고, 성능 평가를 통하여 제시된 방법의 효율성을 보여준다.

In this paper, the wideband microstrip antennas for the PCS & IMT-200O dual band are studied. Experimental and simulation results on the dual band antenna are presented. Simulation results are in good agreement with measurements. The experimental and simulation results confirm the wideband characteristics of the antenna. The studied antenna satisfies the wideband characteristics that are required characteristics for above 420 MHz impedance bandwidth for the PCS & IMT-2OO0 dual band antenna. In this paper, through the designing of a dual band antenna, we have presented the availability for PCS & IMT-20O0 base station antenna.

폭발적인 기술의 변천을 거듭한 무선통신을 차세대의 개인 휴대통신 서비스(PCS)로 발전시키기 위한 두 가지 무선 접속 기술방식을 비교하고 기술개발 동향 및 정책 방향을 제시하였다. 분산된 국내 이동통신의 기술력을 바탕으로 대외 경쟁력을 증진시키기 위한 표준화의 필요성과 동향을 살펴보고 다가오는 세계시장 개방의 압력에 국내의 학, 연, 산, 정부가 공동으로 대처하기 위하여 바람직한 표준화 단계와 표준화 방향에 대하여 서술하였다.

PCS 안전과 관련하여 유럽은 IEC 62109를, 미국은 UL 1741을 요구한다. 두 표준간의 비교를 통하여 양자의 차이와 공통점을 파악하고 PCS에 요구되는 안전 사항들을 분석한다.

본 논문에서는 부하 분담, 신뢰성 및 효율 향상, 시스템 용량을 증가시키는 PCS 모듈 병렬 운전 방법을 제안한다. 병렬 운전을 할 때 모듈별 출력 전압, 전류 값들이 이상적으로 동일하지 않기 때문에 시스템 손실을 초래하는 순환전류가 필연적으로 발생하게 된다. 따라서 순환전류를 저감시키기 위해 모듈별 전력제어와 가상의 계수인 droop index를 이용하여 Load sharing이 잘 되는 제어 알고리즘을 이용하여 병렬 운전 방법의 타당성을 검증한다.
