SK Telecom은 2000년 10월 세계 최초로 기존 IS-95A/B망에서 지원하였던 속도인 14.4Kbps나 56Kbps 보다 훨씬 빠른 최고 144Kbps로 무선인터넷이 가능한 CDMA2000 IX를 상용화 하였다. 또한, 2002년 1월에는 CDMA2000 IX보다 15배 이상 빠른 최대 2.4Mbps가 가능한 동기식 3세대 망인 CDMA2000 IxEV-DO를 세계 최초로 상용화 하였다. 이러한 초고속 무선 인터넷 서비스를 위해서 패킷 데이터 처리에 필수적인 PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node), HA(Home Agent), AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) 등의 노드들로 구성된 Packet Core Network(이하 PCN)이 도입되었으며, 이에 대한 운용 및 관리 방안이 중요한 issue로 등장하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 음성 서비스 관리를 위한 망관리 시스템(Network Management System)과는 다른 개념으로 관리되어야 할 패킷 서비스를 위한 NMS 구축 방안을 제시하고, 필수적인 관리 정보 및 서비스 관리를 위한 방향을 제시한다.

Cytochrome P-450 3A4 (CYP3A4) is major enzyme in human liver, the role of this is detoxification and metabolizing more than 50% clinical drugs in use. Expression of CYP3A4 is transciptionally regulated by the Pregnenolone X receptor (PXR), of which human form is Steroid and Xenobiotics receptor (SXR). SXR is activated by wide range of endogenous and exogenous compounds, and then induces CYP3A4 gene expression. In the previous study, it has been known that proximal promoter (-864 to +64) does not response to chemical inducers such as pregnenolone 16a-carbonitrile (PCN), Rifampicin, Estrogen in terms of transcription of CYP 3A4 in cultured cells. Here, we developed luciferase reporter gene assay system to detect SXR-based CYP 3A4 transcriptional activity. We have used CYP3A4-Luc plasmid that contains proximal promoter of human CYP3A4 gene upstream of the luciferase gene. We did transient transfection of 3A4-luciferase gene and SXR. In the HepG2 cells transfected with CYP3A4-Luc, when rifampicin treatment was combined with histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDAC Inhibitor), such as Trichostatin A, Hc-toxin and IN 2001 of the luciferase activity was induced 10-20 fold over control.

CDMA technique has been largely focused for Wireless Data Network and PCN. ALOHA protocol also has been proven to be effective for Packet Radio Network regardless of low throughput due to channel colisions. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of CDMA_ALOHA scheme, denoted as S_CDMA_ALOHA(Soltted_CDAM_ALOHA) and MS_CDMA_ALOHA(Minislotted_CDMA_ALOHA) system, by analytic and simulation method. The superiority of the CDMA_ALOHA systems over conventional Slotted ALOHA system are clearely demonstrated for throughput, delay and stability performances. The MS_CDMA_ALOHA scheme provides better delay and throughput performance than the S_CDMA_ALOHA scheme.

Purpose - This study empirically analyzes the impact of the internal and external network embeddedness of foreign subsidiaries and local market characteristics of the host country on the CEO selection whether or not to appoint an expatriate as the CEO of a foreign subsidiary. Design/methodology - To conduct an empirical analysis, we obtained a list of the headquarters of Korean MNCs from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Based on the list of HQs, we identified a final list of overseas subsidiaries of Korean MNCs that have entered the world from KOTRA (Trade-Investment Promotion Agency for Korea). Then we conducted an empirical analysis based on the results of 391 questionnaires by employing logistic regression analysis. Findings - The results of empirical analysis are as follows. First, the higher the subsidiary's internal network embeddedness, the higher the tendency appoint an expatriate as the CEO. Second, the higher the volatility of the local market, the higher the tendency to appoint an expatriate as the CEO. Third, the stronger the competition in the local market, the lower the tendency to appoint a PCN. Originality/value - This study has significant theoretical implications in that it examines the link between the internal and external embeddedness of overseas subsidiaries and the appointment of parent country nationals (PCNs) as the CEO that prior research has not examined.

To decrease the damage of infrastructure from the natural disaster, initial reaction and emergent recovery are important. But up to now emergent recovery has mainly focused on the situation notices owing to the lack of technical support. In this paper, we described a web-based support system for disaster damage recovery of facility and electronic documents for requesting support of recovery resources. Recovery methods are decided using the damage recovery scenarios based on the acquired damage information, and the allocated recovery resources information is delivered to the recovery resources owner using the electronic documents. This system could readily be used for disaster response and emergency recovery.

Dielectric and Piezoelectric properties of complex perovskite 0.92Pb($Zr_{1/2}Ti_{1/2})O_{3}-(0.08-x)Pb(Cu_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}-xPb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.080$) (PZT-PCN-PMN) system were investigated as a function of PMN content. With the increase of PMN content of the sintered specimens, tetragonal phase was coexisted with rhombohedral phase, the dielectric constant was decreased, mechanical quality factor ($Q_{m}$) was inceased, and optimal sintering temperature was increased up to 1050$^{\circ}C$. For the composition of x = 0.064 sintered at 1050$^{\circ}C$ for 2 h, 1939 of maximum mechanical quality factor ($Q_{m}$), 57$\%$ of electromechanical coupling factor ($k_{p}$), and 1100$^{\circ}C$ of dielectric constant, 0.37$\% $ of dielectric loss (tan $\delta$) were obtained.

As the internet and computer technology are developed, there is a need for service of traditional culture that can effectively search and create culture, history, and tradition-related materials in online contents. In this paper, we developed an RDF-based ontology retrieval service platform and verified usability and validity. This platform is divided into triple search, keyword search, network graph search, story search and management, curation management module. Based on this, the search results can be visualized based on the relationship between data, network graph search and story search can be used to easily understand the relationship between the keywords. An platform evaluation was conducted for verification, and it was evaluated that an intelligent search that can easily identify the relationship between information and shorten the analysis and search time than the existing search function.

Despite the development of information and communication technology, which has a great impact on society and culture, there is no platform that provides a systematic classification and state-of-the-art information retrieval system on the traditional culture. Therefore, this paper developed a traditional culture retrieval system capable of convergence services with systematic classification and retrieval based on automatically generate and visualize the 3D timeline. This system provides the function of collecting traditional culture contents, classifying and storing collected traditional culture contents, and automatically generating 3D digital timeline based on stored traditional culture contents. In addition, a system satisfaction questionnaire was developed to evaluate the usability of the system, and 19 students participated in verifying the system. As a result of the experiment, the satisfaction of the system showed that all items were 'satisfied' on average.

Recently, the number of interventional procedures has increased dramatically as an alternative of invasive surgical procedure and patient radiation exposure is also increasing accordingly. In this study, we evaluated the patient dose of major interventional procedures nationwide and we established our Korean database. With these results, we tried to suggest the reference dose level for major interventional procedures. We evaluated patent dose data in the field of interventional radiology from foreign countries. Measurement of radiation dose exposure for 11 major interventional procedures was conducted using embedded DAP meters in 10,006 patients from 47 hospitals, and reference level of each interventional procedure was suggested. The DRLs of each intervenional procedure are as follows: TACE 206(Gy·cm²), AVF 12(Gy·cm²), LE intervention 43(Gy·cm²), TFCA 122(Gy·cm²), Cerebral aneurysm coil embolization 214(Gy·cm²), PTBD 22(Gy·cm²), Biliary stent 60(Gy·cm²), PCN 7(Gy·cm²), Hickman catheter 2.1(Gy·cm²), Chemoport 1.4(Gy·cm²), BAE 104(Gy·cm²). Compared with the previously established DRL in 2012, the radiation dose decreased in all 10 interventional procedures. In the future, continuous publicity and education on the radiation dose reduction will be needed.
