Real Time 1/3 Octave Band Control System for High Intensity Acoustic Chamber (음향 챔버 내부의 1/3 옥타브 스펙트럼 실시간 제어 시스템)

  • This paper presents the performance and the algorithm of a 1/3-octave band spectrum control system. The system is developed to provide various spectrums in a high intensity acoustic chamber. The required spectrum, which usually comes from launch vehicle company, starts from 25Hz band and ends 10kHz band. Automatic spectrum control system is preferred since the system requires short settling time to guarantee the safety of test objects and to reduce the amount of operating gas. The developed system adapted a PCI data-acquisition/signal-generation board installed in a personal computer to implement whole control logic. The control software used three cascade digital Butterworth filters using software. The filers are designed following ANSI S1.11 standard to implement 1/3 octave band filter bank. The graphical user interface of the system guides the user to follow standard operation procedure. The averaged control spectrum showed less than 0.05 dB in every running 1/3-octave band.

A Study on Factors Affecting Users' Utilization of Unified Modeling Language (UML 활용 영향요인에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This paper is concerned with figuring out a scheme to facilitate UML utilization through examining the factors which affect the intention to use UML. For this, we conducted a survey of those factors among software engineers in IT service companies. In order to examine the factors affecting the intention to use UML, we developed a model by combining the Technology Acceptance Model and the Innovation Attributes Theory, which have been proved to explain well about the acceptance of new technologies and services. Statistical analysis shows that the subjective norm which is one of social factors has significant influence on the career consequences, and also on the compatibility when the result of UML utilization is demonstrable. The career consequences, the compatibility and the ease of use are found to have significant influence on the usefulness perception of UML utilization, implying that the recognition that one's future career can be affected in the long term by UML utilization is important in shaping how one perceives the usefulness along with the compatibility with one's current task type and the ease of use. The usefulness and the compatibility are evaluated to be the factors that have significant influences on the intention to use UML.

Road-friendliness of Fuzzy Hybrid Control Strategy Based on Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulations

  • Purpose: In order to improve road-friendliness of heavy vehicles, a fuzzy hybrid control strategy consisting of a hybrid control strategy and a fuzzy logic control module is proposed. The performance of the proposed strategy should be effectively evaluated using a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation model of a semi-active suspension system based on the fuzzy hybrid control strategy prior to real vehicle implementations. Methods: A hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation system was synthesized by utilizing a self-developed electronic control unit (ECU), a PCI-1711 multi-functional data acquisition board as well as the previously developed quarter-car simulation model. Road-friendliness of a semi-active suspension system controlled by the proposed control strategy was simulated via the HIL system using Dynamic Load Coefficient (DLC) and Dynamic Load Stress Factor (DLSF) criteria. Results: Compared to a passive suspension, a semi-active suspension system based on the fuzzy hybrid control strategy reduced the DLC and DLSF values. Conclusions: The proposed control strategy of semi-active suspension systems can be employed to improve road-friendliness of road vehicles.

우주활용을 위한 데이터 인터페이스 시뮬레이터의 하드웨어 접속 구현 및 시험

  • 본 논문에서는 국제우주정거장의 데이터 인터페이스 구현 및 시험을 위하여 1553B와 FDDI 하드웨어를 이용한 시뮬레이터를 제작하였다. 데이터 인터페이스 시뮬레이터는 국제우주정거장과 탑재모듈에 대한 시뮬레이터와 탑재모듈의 제어부분, 상태를 확인하기 위한 모니터링 부분으로 구성되어진다. 국제우주정거장 시뮬레이터는 탑재모듈에 명령을 내리고 상태데이터를 받아 분석하며 탑재모듈에서 수집된 데이터를 수신하여 저장하는 기능을 갖는다. 탑재모듈은 국제우주정거장에서 오는 탑재 수집 데이터를 받아 분석/수행하고 탑재모듈에서 수집된 데이터를 시뮬레이션 하는 기능을 가지며, 모니터링 시스템은 데이터 통신간의 인터페이스 속도나 상태 등을 분석하고 전체적인 그래픽 인터페이스를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 PC환경에서 직렬통신과 TCP/IP를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 한 것을, PCI 카드 타입의 1553B와 FDDI 데이터 인터페이스 하드웨어를 이용하여 구현하고 시험하였다. 시뮬레이터 시험 및 검증을 위해서 4가지 타입의 명령을 만들었으며, 국제우주정거장 모듈에서 명령을 내리면 탑재모듈에서 해당 명령을 수행하는 과정을 GUI 환경의 프로그램으로 모니터링 하여 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 국제우주정거장과 탑재모듈 간의 요구사항 분석, 데이터 인터페이스 포맷 정의, 데이터 인터페이스 하드웨어 환경 구현 등의 성과가 있었으며, 추후 탑재모듈 특성이나 국제우주정거장의 구체적인 기능 추가에 의해 탑재모듈 개발을 위한 ETB로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to implement a Labview based TFDR Real Time system through the instruments of Pci eXtensions for Instrumentation(PXI). The proposed load impedance measurement algorithm was verified by experiments via the implemented real time system. The TFDR real time system consisted of the reference signal design, signal generation, signal acquisition, algorithm execution and results display parts. To implement real time system, all of the parts wore programmed by the Labview which is one of graphical programming languages. In the application software implemented by the Labview we were able to design a suitable reference signal according to the length and frequency attenuation characteristics of the target cable and controled the arbitrary waveform generator(ZT500PXI) of the signal generation part and the digital storage oscilloscope(ZT430PXI) of the signal acquisition part. By using the TFDR real time system with the terminal resistor on the target cable, we applied to the load impedance measurements. In the proposed load impedance algorithm a normalized time-frequency cross correlation function and a cross time-frequency distribution function was employed to calculate the reflection coefficient and phase difference between the input and the reflected signals.

RPC MODEL FOR ORTHORECTIFYING VHRS IMAGE

  • Three main important sources for establishing GIS are the orthomap in scale 1:5 000 with Ground Sampling Distance of 0,5m; DEM/DTM data with height error of ${\pm}$1,0m and topographic map in scale 1: 10 000. The new era with Very High Resolution Satellite (VHRS) images as IKONOS, QuickBird, EROS, OrbView and other ones having Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) even lower than 1m has been in potential for producing orthomap in large scale 1:5 000, to update existing maps, to compile general-purpose or thematic maps and for GIS. The accuracy of orthomap generated from VHRS image affects strongly on GIS reliability. Nevertheless, orthomap accuracy taken from VHRS image is at first dependent on chosen sensor geometrical models. This paper presents, at fist, theoretical basic of the Rational Polynomial Coefficient (RPC) model installed in the commercial ImageStation Systems, realized for orthorectifying VHRS images. The RPC model of VHRS image is a replacement camera mode that represents the indirect relation between terrain and its image acquired on the flight orbit. At the end of this paper the practical accuracies of IKONOS and QuickBird image orthorectified by RPC model on Canadian PCI Geomatica System have been presented. They are important indication for practical application of producing digital orthomaps.

  • In this paper, a motion control system based on 2-axis gimbal system is designed and implemented to drive a high speed and precision. The proposed system consists of the RS-422 interface, 2-axis gimbal platform, servo control unit integrated with a high speed DSP chip-set, servo amplifier unit, potentiometer sensor unit, and resolver sensor unit. The servo control unit using the high speed DSP firmware is designed to get a fast response without an overshoot with step input and a RMS error of low probability with ramp input. The servo amplifier unit using a voltage control is designed to resolve the zero-crossing distortion for precise motion. To verify the performance and stability of the implemented system, experiments are performed through a measurement of the time and frequency domain response in a laboratory environment by using a PXI(PCI eXtentions for Instrumentation).

  • The most widely used models to study the quality of service are the SERVQUAL and SERVPERF models that measure service mechanisms. This paper is to estimate service efficiency and consistency for Retail Industry. We tried to measure the service quality and overall satisfaction by using DEA and PCI, degree of combination and top2box which is a little bit different methodology from traditional ones. Rather than using the usual method of converting the service quality index by mean value, the Service Efficiency Index(SEI) and Service Quality Consistency Index(SQCI) are used to measure the efficiency and consistency level, which in turn can be used as the new service quality indices. The result of SEI and SQCI show the efficiency frontier in retail industry that 6 DMUs are analyzed relative efficient DMUs, 12DMUs are inefficient DMUs and retail Industry consistency level appeared low(0.35-0.47) Also, there is a significant difference in terms of efficiency and consistency in the each retail industry. Finally, we showed the summarized result as the Effi-Con Matrix.

Learning from the ASIS International strategy for specialization and globalization (미국경비협회(ASIS)의 전문화와 세계화 전략에 관한 방문연구)

  • ASIS(American Society for Industrial Security) is already rationing their standard to the world and succeeded in organizing these professionals. In base of that result, there are the executions of the various programs in accordance with the specialization and globalization strategy over the last 60 years. This study looked at the overseas practices that strengthen the capacity of the internal security specialists and promote the development of knowledge and technology through the mutual visits between the network through a survey of ASIS. We can accept viable and sustainable growth strategy, specialization and globalization strategy, such as ASIS model for the various activities performed by the past 60 years to improve the efficiency of the country's private security activities. It will be something we ought to be a new starting point.

  • Regarding HEMP has been studied as few thousand of paper by major nuclear bomb holding countries with USA for the self protection against nuclear bomb attract. Major HEMP protection facilities are consist of the shielding, filtering, grounding and high voltage protection circuits. Shielding room construction required a highest cost among the key protective facilities. Most of a theoretical formulas listed on the paper and related books has a little correlations in the certain frequency band between the theoretical formulas and field measuring results. For the reasons we proposed the advanced new theoretical formulas and developed the computer simulation S/W as enough as apply to the cost effective shielding room design for HEMP considering the various structural constants.
