PC기반의 6자유도 촉각장치의 개발 (Development of PC-Based 6DOF Force Display System)

  • In this paper, we have developed the 6 DOF force display system to be based on the single PC. The system is composed of the force display device, the force reflecting rendering algorithm and the high-speed controller. The previous systems had a problem, that must adopt high performance workstation or 2-PC in order to control the graphics speedily and stably. In this paper, it is possible to improve the problem as to develop its exclusive controller and new rendering algorithm. The proposed new rendering algorithm is based on the Proxy algorithm, which can convert information of the position, the velocity, and the haptic information into the force-data. Especially, as to use the proxy algorithm, we can construct dynamical virtual-environment with the elasticity, the viscosity, the mass, and the friction force. As the result of the experiment, we found that our system has much superior characteristics than some other haptic interfaces, because it can control of 30,000 polygon model constructed virtual object with 1[kHz] haptic interrupt cycle and 20[Hz] graphic interrupt cycle in the single PC based system.

  • For the state estimation problem, the weighted least squares (WLS) method and the fast decoupled method are widely used at present. However, these algorithms can converge to local optimal solutions. Recently, modern heuristic optimization methods such as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) have been introduced to overcome the disadvantage of the classical optimization problem. However, heuristic optimization methods based on populations require a lengthy computing time to find an optimal solution. In this paper, we used PSO to search for the optimal solution of state estimation in power systems. To overcome the shortcoming of heuristic optimization methods, we proposed parallel processing of the PSO algorithm based on the PC cluster system. the proposed approach was tested with the IEEE-118 bus systems. From the simulation results, we found that the parallel PSO based on the PC cluster system can be applicable for power system state estimation.

  • Recently, the robot control systems are required to be more flexible and intelligent in order to execute more complex and delicate tasks. As an approach to such system, a PC-based robot control system is presented in this paper. The axis controllers are independently designed for each joint of robot manipulator and are supervised by a personal computer. Therefore, the almost system program including the control algorithm can be easily developed and modified in the PC's environment. This proposed control system was successfully applied to 4 axis SCARA-type robot and the associated S/W modules were developed. We can construct sensory robot systems by simply connecting the sensing devices to the PC and the study on this now being progressed.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish an effective inspection system by using OMM (On-Machine Measurement) system based PC-NC. This system can reduce manufacturing lead time because part is inspected each process. Inspection process planning is accomplished by determining the number of measuring points, their location, measuring path using fuzzy logic, Hammersley method, traveling salesperson problem. Inspection with contacted sensor improve quality as inspection feature is developed to based machining feature. This method is tested by simulation and experiment, then analyzed measuring data and geometry tolerance.

  • In the industrial field nowadays the information that needs to be handled arc increasing and requires faster speed in contrast with PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS(Distributed Control System) based control systems these days. The work environment these days are mostly based on PC, so the control systems are wanted in PC. At Fieldbus used automated systems performing distributed process control by PC performs and combines into one system in order to maximize the increase of productivity, lower the expense, planning constructing and maintaining the reliance of automation. These latest automation systems unites process, makes distributed control process able, and can control and supervise at remote PC.

  • 교환과 전송방식이 기존의 아날로그에서 디지털화 되어가던 중 80년대부터 ISDN이 등장하여 다양한 서비스를 제공하였다. 본 논문에서는 ISDN 사용자/망 프로토콜을 실제 통신망상에서 그 흐름을 파악할 수 있는 프로토콜 분석기 개발에 관해 살펴보았다. 이는 PC 기반의 확장 보드인 하드웨어상에 ISDN 사용자/망 프로토콜에 관한 펌웨어와 소프트웨어를 로딩하여 그 체계를 구축하였으며 운영체제는 PC의 OS를 기반으로 하였다. 또한 개발된 PC기반의 확장 보드인 프로토콜 분석기로 ISDN 사용자/망 D-채널 시그널링의 모니터링 기능에 대한 성능을 파악한 결과, BRI나 PRI 인터페이스에서도 만족한 결과를 수행하였다.

온라인 선로상정사고 분산처리를 위한 SIMD 구조의 PC 클러스터링 (The PC Clustering of the SIMD Structure for a Distributed Process of On-line Contingency)

  • This paper introduces the PC clustering of the SIMD structure for a distributed processing of on-line contingency to assess a static security of a power system. To execute on-line contingency analysis of a large-scale power system, we need to use high-speed execution device. Therefore, we constructed PC-cluster system using PC clustering method of the SIMD structure and applied to a power system, which relatively shows high quality on the high-speed execution and has a low price. SIMD(single instruction stream, multiple data stream) is a structure that processes are controlled by one signal. The PC cluster system is consisting of 8 PCs. Each PC employs the 2 GHz Pentium 4 CPU and is connected with the others through ethernet switch based fast ethernet. Also, we consider N-1 line contingency that have high potentiality of occurrence realistically. We propose the distributed process algorithm of the SIMD structure for reducing too much execution time on the on-line N-1 line contingency analysis in the large-scale power system. And we have verified a usefulness of the proposed algorithm and the constructed PC cluster system through IEEE 39 and 118 bus system.

소프트웨어 기반의 개방형 제어기에 대한 이해와 개발 (Understanding and Development of Software-based Open Architecture Controller)

  • Open architecture controller (OAC) is well known technology in factory automation. To better understand the requirements of OAC, authors have discussed the OAC related topics with a number of control experts who represents different segments of the machining industry. There is no common concept that is accepted or used, however, the common ideas for OAC is the control system that is hardware independent, interchangeable, and easily scalable. This paper presents summary of the understaning and requirements of OAC. Based on the requirements of OAC, authors developed the software based PC-CNC. The main focus of the PC-CNC was on the user customization capability and open interface between control networks in manufacturing system. This paper introduces the developed PC-CNC briefly. In addition to introduction of the PC-CNC, to fill the gap between end users and vendors of OAC, this paper presents two applications using OAC. One is a remote monitoring system. The OPC (Ole for Process Control) standard interface was used to monitor the status of open architecture CNC across network. The other is the remote production management module for machine tools using standard database interface.

메카트로닉스산업의 PC 융합 촉진을 위한 기술정책 방향 (Policy Directions for Boosting Fusion of PC in the Mechatronics Industry)

  • Since computerized numerical controller(CNC) emerged as a result of the fusion of the electronics technology and the mechanical technology, there has been continuous evolution of CNC technology in the mechatronics industry. The industry is recently developing a new control system based on the fusion of personal computer(PC) and CNC. Upgraded PC has now integrated into CNC, making various machines possible to exchange data, software and hardware, and to greatly improve man-machine interface. The fusion of PC and CNC can form a new paradigm in technological innovation of not only control system but also whole machinery industry in near the future. Korea lagged behind the developed countries in the development of open control system with the fusion of PC. Turbotek, Hyundai Motor and Daewoo are leading companies, but their commercial possibility seems to be low because domestic market is too small to reap a commercial benefit. Nevertheless, the development of the system is an essential step for Korea to embark on a future technological paradigm of the machinery industry. The government needs to play some role for the development, for instance, government R&D projects, institutional building and training of related technicians.

  • 수학 교육에 있어서 학생의 취약점을 분석하는 가장 효과적인 방법은 학생이 문제를 푸는 과정을 지켜보고 어느 부분에서 문제가 있는지를 알아내는 것이다. 이에 착안하여 본 논문에서는 수학 문제를 학생이 Tablet PC 를 이용해 풀이하는 과정을 애니메이션으로 기록하고, 문제 풀이 과정을 교사가 직접 관찰하고 첨삭 지도함으로써 취약점을 쉽게 분석하고 교육 효과를 높일 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.
