UV curable coating system described here consists of double layers, namely under layer and top laser coatings. The former consists of organic-inorganic conductive materials and the latter consists of multifunctional acrylates. Transparent double layer coatings were prepared on the transparent substrates i.e. PMMA, PC, PET etc. by the wet and wet coating procedure. Their surface resistances and film properties were measured as a function of the top layer thickness and relative humidity. As the thickness of the top layer was less than $10{\mu}m$, the surface resistance in the range of $10^8{\sim}10^{10}{\Omega}/cm^2$ was obtained. The surface properties of the two-layer coating were remarkably improved compared with the single layer coating. The effects of migration of conducting materials on the film properties of multilayer coating were investigated by using contact angle and Fourier transform infrared/attenuated total reflection(FT-IR/ATR). It was found that the migration of dopant(dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid, DBSA) molecules were occurred from film-substrate interface to film-air interface in the organic conductive coating system but not in the inorganic one.
Modern plastics are of great importance in many practical applications and their performance can be enhanced by surface modification to improve their hardness, wear and chemical resistance. The object of this study is invention of functional hardening coating materials which are applied to plastic, such as polycarbonate, polymethylmethacylate and acrylonitrilebutadienestyrene. In order to invention of hardening coating materials, we synthesized new silicone acrylate oligomer and prepared coating films containing silicone acrylate oligomer (SAOE) on PC substrate. The curing of coatings is performed by UV-radiation. As results of experiments, The properties of coating films which are contained SAOE is greatly improved in comparison with coating films non-contained SAOE. Especially, when 1 wt% SAOE was introduced into the coating formulation, the UV hardening coatings obtained showed the best surface hardness and gloss.
Intramolecular proton transfer equilibria of acetamide and methyl carbamate have been studied theoretically by MNDO MO method. For both substrates, carbonyl-O protonated tautomer was found to be the most stable form, the next most stable one being N-protonated form. Gas phase proton transfers take place by the 1,3-proton rearrangement process and in all cases have prohibitively high activation barriers. When however one solvate water molecule participates in the process, the barriers are lowered substantially and the process proceeds in an intermolecular manner through the intermediacy of the water molecule via a triple-well type potential energy surface; three wells correspond to reactant(RC), intermediate(IC) and product complex(PC) of proton donor-acceptor pairs whereas two transition states(TS) have proton-bridge structure. General scheme of the process can be represented for a substrate with two basic centers(heteroatoms) of A and B as, $$ABH\limits^+\;+\;H_2O\;{\to}\;ABH\limits^+{\cdots}{\limits_{RC}}OH_2\;{\to}\;AB{\cdots}H\limits_{TS}^+{\cdots}{\limits_{1}}OH_2\;{\to}\;AB{\cdots}{\limits_{IC}}H\limits^+OH_2\;{\to}\;BA{\cdots}H\limits_{TS}^+{\cdots}{\limits_{2}}OH_2\;{\to}\;BA H\limits^+{\cdots}{\limits_{PC}}OH_2\;{\to}\;BAH\limits^+\;+\;H_2O$$ Involvement of a second solvate water had negligible effect on the relative stabilities of the tautomers but lowered barrier heights by 5∼6 Kcal/mol. It was calculated that the abundance of the methoxy-O protonated tautomer of the methyl carbamate will be negligible, since the tautomer is unfavorable thermodynamically as well as kinetically. Fully optimized stationary points are reported.
In this work we have investigated electrical and optical properties of interface for ITO/Si with shallow doped emitter. The ITO is prepared by DC magnetron sputter on p-type monocrystalline silicon substrate. As an experimental result, The transmittance at 640nm spectra is obtained an average transmittance over 85% in the visible range of the optical spectrum. The energy bandgap of ITO at oxygen flow from 0% to 4% obtained between 3.57eV and 3.68eV (ITO : 3.75eV). The energy bandgap of ITO is depending on the thickness, sturcture and doping concentration. Because the bandgap and position of absorption edge for degenerated semiconductor oxide are determined by two competing mechanism; i) bandgap narrowing due to electron-electron and electron-impurity effects on the valance and conduction bands (> 3.38eV), ii) bandgap widening by the Burstein-Moss effect, a blocking of the lowest states of the conduction band by excess electrons( < 4.15eV). The resistivity of ITO layer obtained about $6{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$ at 4% of oxygen flow. In case of decrease resistivity of ITO, the carrier concentration and carrier mobility of ITO film will be increased. The contact resistance of ITO/Si with shallow doped emitter was measured by the transmission line method(TLM). As an experimental result, the contact resistance was obtained $0.0705{\Omega}cm^2$ at 2% oxygen flow. It is formed ohmic-contact of interface ITO/Si substrate. The emitter series resistance of ITO/Si with shallow doped emitter was obtained $0.1821{\Omega}cm^2$. Therefore, As an PC1D simulation result, the fill factor of EWT solar cell obtained above 80%. The details will be presented in conference.
The LiCoO2 thin films were prepared on the Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate by spin coating using citrate sol. The citrate sol was spin-coated on substrate and dried at 380oC for 15 min. to evaporate the solvents and remove the organic materials. The as-deposited films were annealed at 750oC for 10 min. in air for crystallization. The X-ray diffraction patterns for the film have been indexed hexagonal system with space group R3m. The active area of LiCoO2 films for electrochemical test was about 11cm2. A Li foil and 1M LiClO4 in propylene carbonate(PC) and ethylene carbonate(EC) (1:1)were used as an anode and an electrolyte, respectively. The galvanostatic charge-discharge test was carried out at constant current density ranging from 5 A/cm2 in the voltage window between 4.2 and 3.0 V. The first discharge capacity of the film is 0.35Ah/cm2-m. The cycling behavior of the LiCoO2 film is also reported.

It is described that the total analysis of CD-R, a digital recording media, including the planning and performing chemical analysis of cross sectional structure of recording layer, dye composition and chemical structure as an example of design for chemical analysis. Since chemical analysis of unknown sample is often involved the complicated process requiring many experiences and knowledge, students feel difficulties in planning the procedure of chemical analysis and selecting analytical methods. Thus, an example of chemical analysis is provided here to help student understanding the hole procedure of CD-R analysis. In this study, SEM is used to determine the cross sectional structure of PC substrate and recoding layer of CD-R. The dyes in recording layer is dissolved with solvent and separated with using TLC, analyzed with using UV-Vis absorption spectrometer. Then, the chemical structure of each component is determined with using GC-MS, NMR and mass spectrometer.

The purpose of this paper is improvement the piezoelectric of Polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) organic thin films is fabricated by vapor deposition method. The piezoelectric of PVDF organic thin films attributed to dipole orientation in crystalline region. Also, the piezoelectric characteristic reduced that dipole moments orientation in crystalline region interfered with impurity carriers. Therefore, PVDF organic thin films fabricated with high substrate temperature condition for crystallinity improvement. The crystallinity of PVDF organic thin films fabricated by this condition increase from 47 to 67.8%. The ion density of PVDF organic thin films fabricated by substrate temperature variation from $30^{\circ}C$ to $105^{\circ}C$ decreased from $1.62{\times}10^{16}cm^3$ to $6.75{\times}10^{11}cm^3$ when temperature and frequency were $100^{\circ}C$, 10Hz, respectively. The $d_{33}$ and piezo-voltage coefficient of PVDF organic thin films increased from 20pPC/N to 33pC/N and $162.9{\times}10^{-3}V{\cdot}m/N$ to $283.2{\times}10^{-3}V{\cdot}m/N$, respectively. For the sake of the applications of piezoelectric sensor, we analyzed the output voltage characteristic as a function of the distance between an oscillator of 28kHz and PVDF organic thin film transducer. From this, we found that the output voltage is inversely proportional to the distance. At this time, the period was about $35.798{\mu}s$ and equal the oscillator frequency.
Structural and optical properties of $In_xGa_{1-X}N$ as well as $In_{0.1}Ga_{0.9}N$/GaN single quantum we11 (SQW) grown on sapphire (0001) substrate with an based GaN using rf-plasma assisted MBE have been investigated. The quality of the InXGal.,N fdm was improved as the growth temperature increased. In PL measurements at low temperatures, the band edge emission peaks of $In_xGa_{1-X}N$ was shifted to red region as an indium cell and substrate temperature increased. For $In_{0.1}Ga_{0.9}N$/GaN SQW, the optical emission energy has blue shift about 15meV in PL peak, due to the confined energy level in the well region. And, the FWHM of the $In_{0.1}Ga_{0.9}N$/GaN SQW was larger than that of the bulk Ino,la.9N films. The broadening of FWHM can be explained either as non-uniformity of Indium composition or the potential fluctuation in the well region. Photoconductivity (PC) decay measurement reveals that the optical transition lifetimes of the SQW measured gradually increased with temperatures.
This work was intended to study the effect of a partial pressure ratio and a total pressure of reactive gases on the properties of TiC$_{x}$N$_{1-x}$ . coated layer. In this regard, various TiC$_{x}$N$_{1-x}$ coatings were synthesized with C2112 and N2 Mixture gas of different compositions by Arc Ion Plating process which has been highlighted for an industrial purpose. It was revealed from colors and X-ray diffraction patterns that the concentration of carbon of a TiC$_{x}$N$_{1-x}$ coating increases with a partial pressure ratio (PC$_{2}$H$_{2}$/PN$_{2}$) as well as a total pressure Of $C_{2}$H$_{2}$ and N$_{2}$ mixture gas. Accordingly, the hardness of TiC$_{x}$N$_{1-x}$ coated layer increased but the adhesion to the substrate of SKH 51 was degraded. On the other hand, the deposition rate was independent of a partial pressure ratio and a total pressure of mixture gas. It was found that a uniform gas distribution is critical for an industrial application since the composition of a coating depends strongly on the location of a substrate inside of the furnace. As a result of milling tests with different TiC$_{x}$N$_{1-x}$ coated end mills, the one which has a low carbon concentration was better than others studied in this work.d in this work.
This study was performed to analyze quantitatively the number of living bacteria in forest soil samples collected from Mt. Keryong using improved direct viable count (DVC) and plate count (PC) methods. The number of living bacteria by DVC comprised 18~44% of the total direct count (TDC), whereas the number of living bacteria by PC was less than 1% of TDC. These results showed that viable but non-culturable (VBNC) bacteria existed in the soil with high percentages. Besides, DVC was proved to make it possible to make a quantitative detection of the VBNC bacteria. On the other hand, upon measuring the value from the conventional nutrient broth (NB) and $10^{-2}$ folded diluted nutrient broth (DNB), the values from the DNB showed 5 to 10 times higher than those from the conventional NB medium. These results indicate that oligotrophic bacterial groups, which could multiply in the low nutrient broth, abundantly exist in the soil ecosystem. It would also be possible to apply this kind of method to other substrate to make a quantitative detection of soil bacterial groups.
