An Analysis of Security Threats and Security Requirements on the Designated PC Solution

  • In this paper, we analyse security threats and security requirements about the designated PC solution which restricts usable PCs that are only an user own PCs or a registered PC for online banking or very important services. Accordingly, causable threats of the designated PC solution are classified a process, a network layer, a software module, and an environment of platform, and we draw security requirements based on analysed security threats. Results of this research are considered utilization of criteria for improving security of the designated PC solution and standards for giving hint of imposition of the designated PC solution.

  • In order to prevent leakage of personal information by insiders a large number of companies install pc security solutions like DRM(Digital Right Management), DLP(Data Loss Prevention), Personal information filtering software steadily. However, despite these investments anomalies personal information occurred. To establish proper security policy before implementing pc security solutions, companies can prevent personal information leakage. Furthermore by analyzing the log from the solutions, companies verify the policies implemented effectively and modify security policies. In this paper, we define the required security solutions installed on PC to prevent disclosure of personal information in a variety of PC security solution, plan to integrate operations of the solutions in the blocking personal information leakage point of view and propose security policies through PC security solution log analysis.

  • As digitalization accelerates, the use of digital information is increasing in public institutions such as schools and libraries, and the demand for print services is also increasing. Among many services, printing service on public PCs should charge fee to printer users, but it is a very difficult task for administrators. Print management solutions have been developed and are now widely used to automate these demanding tasks. In this paper, we analyze the vulnerability of printer management solutions used in public institutions. However, the security awareness of public PC administrators and printer management solution developers seem to be lacking.

  • It is a measure to overcome limitations that occur in the activity of detecting and blocking abnormal information leakage activity by collecting the activity log generated by the security solution to detect the leakage of existing financial information and analyzing it by pattern analysis. First, it monitors real-time execution programs in PC that are used as information leakage path (read from the outside, save to the outside, transfer to the outside, etc.) in the PC. Second, it determines whether it is a normal controlled exception control circumvention by interacting with the related security control process at the time the program is executed. Finally, we propose a risk management model that can control the risk of financial information leakage through the process procedure created on the basis of scenario.

  • In recent years, domestic electronics, banking, electricity, services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, corporate type and malicious hackers is corporate security through the accident occurred and the resulting loss of corporate information and the damage each year is steadily increasing. Many companies have responded to domestic business activities and to protect critical information related to laptops, smart phones, tablets, and introduced a variety of Endpoint security solutions within. However, being introduced to senselessly Endpoint security solution across the over-budget, with the same features and performance, such as conflicts and problems arise, resulting in additional maintenance costs, in an effort to resolve the conflict in the operational security of the IT department's new difficulty in becoming. Here is the introduction and operation of these Endpoint security solutions in order to solve the problem on employees's PC into the center of the information security governance based on Endpoint security solution to provide the process for determining the solutions presented.

  • This paper proposes an approach of Mult_HPSO based on the PC cluster system to reduce or remove the stagnation on an early convergence effect of PSO, reduce an execution time and improve a search ability on an optimal solution. Hybrid PSO(HPSO) is combines the PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) with the mutation of conventional GA(Genetic Algorithm). The conventional PSO has operated a search process in a single swarm. However, Multi_PSO operates a search process through multiple swarms, which increments diversity of expected solutions and reduces the execution time. Multiple Swarms are composed of unsynchronized PC clusters. We apply to SCED(security constrained economic dispatch) problem, a nonlinear optimization problem, which considers line flow constraints and N-1 line contingency constraints. To consider N-1 line contingency in power system, we have chosen critical line contingency through a process of Screening and Selection based on PI(performace Index). We have applied to IEEE 118 bus system for verifying a usefulness of the proposed approaches.

  • 기업 내 주요 정보를 보호하기 위한 방안으로 다양한 솔루션이 제시되었으나 내부 자료의 유출을 막는데 한계가 존재하였다. 기업들은 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위한 대안으로 업무망과 인터넷망을 분리하여 사용하는 망 분리 솔루션을 도입하고 있다. 망 분리 솔루션은 PC 기반의 방식과 전환 장치기반, SBC 기반, PC 가상화 기반 방식으로 구분할 수 있다. 이러한 망 분리 솔루션은 망을 분리하는 방식에 따라 취약성이 존재할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 망 분리 솔루션의 각 방식에 대하여 분석하고 망 분리 솔루션에 존재할 수 있는 취약성을 도출하고자 한다.

A Study on the Security Enhancement for Personal Healthcare Information of CloudHIS (CloudHIS의 개인 의료정보를 위한 보안강화에 관한 연구)

  • Along with the growth of u-Healthcare, we propose a security enhancement based on network separation for CloudHIS with for handling healthcare information to cope with cyber attack. To protect against all security threats and to establish clear data security policies, we apply desktop computing servers to cloud computing services for CloudHIS. Use two PCs with a hypervisor architecture to apply physical network isolation and select the network using KVM switched controller. The other is a logical network separation using one PC with two OSs, but the network is divided through virtualization. Physical network separation is the physical connection of a PC to each network to block the access path from both the Internet and the business network. The proposed system is an independent desktop used to access an intranet or the Internet through server virtualization technology on a user's physical desktop computer. We can implement an adaptive solution to prevent hacking by configuring the CloudHIS, a cloud system that handles medical hospital information, through network separation for handling security enhancement.

Integration of PKI and Fingerprint for User Authentication

  • Although the PKl-based user authentication solution has been widely used, the security of it can be deteriorated by a simple password. This is because a long and random private key may be protected by a short and easy-to-remember password. To handle this problem, many biometric-based user authentication solutions have been proposed. However, protecting biometric data is another research issue because the compromise of the biometric data will be permanent. In this paper, we present an implementation to improve the security of the typical PKI-based authentication by protecting the private key with a fingerprint. Compared to the unilateral authentication provided by the typical biometric-based authentication, the proposed solution can provide the mutual authentication. In addition to the increased security, this solution can alleviate the privacy issue of the fingerprint data by conglomerating the fingerprint data with the private key and storing the conglomerated data in a user-carry device such as a smart card. With a 32-bit ARM7-based smart card and a Pentium 4 PC, the proposed fingerprint-based PKI authentication can be executed within 1.3second.

  • 요즘 현대사회에 들어 개인정보보호 개인정보유출 등 정보보호에 관하여 많은 기업들이 관심을 가지고 DRM(Digital Right Management) 및 pc보안 솔루션을 적극 도입하고 있다. 기업의 이러한 투자에도 불구하고 많은 개인정보유출 사고가 지속적으로 발생 하고 있다. PC보안솔루션의 단순 구축이 아닌 기업에 적합한 보안 정책을 사전에 수립하고 정책에 맞는 시스템을 운영한다면 개인정보유출 사고를 미연에 방지 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 다양한 PC보안솔루션 중 개인정보유출 방지를 위해 PC에 필수 설치되는 보안솔루션을 정의하고, 필수보안 솔루션을 개인정보보호 관점에서 통합 운영하는 방안, 개인정보유출 사고 방지를 위한 효과적인 보안정책 및 동향을 연구하고자 한다.
