Due to the recent increase in domestic seismic activity and the proliferation of PC structure buildings, there is a pressing need for a fundamental study to develop and revise the design criteria for Half-PC slabs. In this study, we propose criteria for determining the rigid diaphragm based on the aspect ratio of Half-PC slabs and investigate the structural effects based on the presence of chord element installation. This study concluded that Half-PC slabs with an aspect ratio of 3.0 or lower can be designed as rigid diaphragms. When chord elements are installed, it is possible to design Half-PC slabs with an aspect ratio of 4.0 or lower as rigid diaphragms. In addition, the increase in the aspect ratio of the Half-PC slab leads to a decrease in the in-plane stiffness of the structure, confirming that the reduction effect of the maximum displacement in force direction (𝜟max ) due to the increase in wall stiffness is predominantly influenced by flexibility.

Recently, demand is caused that new building environment of value added rising demand on the lines of becoming bigger, manhattanize of structure and becoming high standard of structure in a construction site and influx of advanced foreign nation technique. To satisfy these requirements for alternative, structures applied to the PSC, PC is increasing. Double Tee Slab is possible for long length structure and applied to the method of construction. When assembling Double Tee Slab produced by the factory in the field, becamed carry-out topping concrete in upper, but occurred crack to slab line. There is no structural problem to crack occurred in upper, waterproof in maintenance and repair of structure due to a conservative cause several problems.

This paper presents the results of an experimental study carried out Prestressed Concrete Slab System of WAffle Shape(WAS), was perfomed in order to inverstigate it connection shear behavior according to primary paramaters: connection interval, filling matarial. Specimen is produced in Precast Concrete factories and it comprised one WAS panel and two half WAS panels and then it is filled with packing. Within the ranges of the parameters of the connection details used in this test, connections can develop greater shear strength than the nominal shear strength and the design service load for parking structures.
A proposal of the basic fbrm on the design of joint parts that can increase the shear strength by the useful joint shapes of each member is intended. The vertical joint parameters are the number of' shear key and a variety of' reinfbrcement details and the horizontal joint paramctcrs arc t,hc number of shear key and the direction of' shear f'orcc. 10 PC panel vortical joint arid 12 PC panel horizontal joint specimens were tested to investigate the effects of these parameters. Test results show that : 1. The ductility of the test specimen that has the horizontal reinforcing steels is larger than that does not have. 2. The maximum resisting force of round bar specimen is similar to that of strand wire specimen under the condition of fixed horizontal displacement.
An experimental program was initiated to investigate the structural capacity of PC (Precast Concrete) beam-column joints used for the underground parking structure. Static testing of 4 typical PC beam-column joints specimens was conducted. Specimens were designed to span a range of parameters typically encountered for such members, based on findings from the survey of existing PC joint details used in the construction fields in Korea. The specimens were four by their joint types and testing parameters. The specific structural behavior germane to each specimen, and general observations on overall member behavior as a function of the considered parameters, are reported. From the results of tests on four PC joints specimens, the beam-column joints of PC structure used for the underground parking building was found to have similar structural capacities when comparing to the cast-in-place concrete system.

This paper evaluates the serviceability of vibration that is induced by people's walking and running when the long span hollow core slab is used. The dynamic characteristics like a natural frequency and a ramping ratio are found by impact loading test on the mock-up structures. Also, the human induced loading test output is evaluated by the various serviceability criteria. As the various serviceability criteria satisfy with this result, the vibration problem of relevant slab caused by people's behavior does not matter.

This study was carried out as basic study to apply to construction site the HPC method which is being developed. The construction cost of HPC method was analyzed in comparison with conventional method (half slab method). With regard to research method, it was decided that data on construction work carried out by half slab method was analyzed. According to the results of study, in case of being applied to the construction work using a divided column, the number of columns was decreased. So, it was shown that member production cost, and transport and assemblage cost reduced. In case of being applied to construction work using an undivided column, the analysis showed that there was little difference in construction cost. Therefore, the analysis showed that, if HPC construction method was applied to large structure using a large column, the construction cost was reduced to some extent in comparison with conventional half slab method.

Recently the slab span-jointing method has been employed as one of the retrofit technologies to enhance the capacity of existing simple beam bridges in many cases. In general this method makes simple beam bridges behave like multi-span continuous bridges under service loads excluding self weight in company with external prestress force method in the field. In this paper the continuation effect has been studied for the retrofitted bridges by the experimental and numerical approaches. The results show that the deflections and stresses of members are reduced due to the increase of the total stiffness of bridge system and the efficiency of bridge continuation based on the slab span-jointing method is about 40 % when comparing with the case of continuous bridges.
Existing grade crossings between railway and roadway area gradually changed to grade separation systems by the law. In the case of new roadway construction which crosses railways, it shall be grade separation system in principle. With the railway underground crossing method, many practices have been developed which can minimize rail displacements and avoid rail release. With these methods, the effects to the train can be reduced. The underground crossing methods can be identified as open-cut methods and non open-cut methods. The open-cut methods include temporary support methods and special rail construction methods. Also the non open-cut methods includes pipe roof methods, front jacking methods, messer shield methods, NTR methods and JES methods. Among these, the most suitable method is applied considering safety, economy, class of each rail system (train passing frequency and velocity), etc. In the non open-cut methods, the cost and duration shall be increased to keep existing rail system during construction. In the open-cut methods which use plate girders, the rail speed shall be restricted due to the displacement and vibration of the girder. In this study new grade separation methods were developed. With this method, the safety during construction can be increased. This method refines temporary support methods, but pc slab girder with huge stiffness is applied instead of plate girders. With this method, the rail displacement can be reduced and higher safety can be obtained during construction. Also construction cost and duration can be minimized because the temporary work and the overburden soil depth can be reduced.
