Investigation of Influence of Pulse-periodical Laser Radiation Power on Stability of Liquid-metal Contacts between Powder Particles during Selective Laser Sintering

  • A connection between pulse-periodical laser radiation power and stability of liquid-metal contacts between powder particles during selective laser sintering (SLS) is determined based on analysis solving the problem of stability of liquid column in the gravity and capillary forces field. On the grounds of obtained relationships the optimization of pulse-periodical laser radiation power and SLS-process duration is realized, that allows to produce voluminous powder porous materials with pre-determined physical and mechanical properties and surface geometry. Results of metallographic investigations of powder porous materials of titanium powder produced with technological regimes calculated by means of obtained relationships are given in the work

Beso (Varicorhinus beso Rüppell, 1836) biological parameters to establish management measures in the Geray Reservoir (Ethiopia)

  • Geray Reservoir is home to some fish species including Varicorhinus beso, Cyprinus carpio, Carasius carasius, Oreochromis niloticus, and Tilapia randelli. The V. beso is among the top fish-farming species for the reservoir. However, this data on total fish catch showed that the fish population is declining as a result of overexploitation of the stock. The purpose of this study was to set some management measures for the Geray reservoir using some biometric data on the most commonly caught fish-V. beso. A total of 170 fish samples (102 females and 68 males) ranging from 21 to 40.2 cm in total length (TL) and 94.6 to 618.4 g in total weight (TW) were gathered between October 2022 and May 2022 using a cast net with a mesh size of 6 cm. Nonetheless, it is thought that the sampling period is sufficient because the fish were spawning more during the month when the data was collected because of the high concentration of nutrients during that time. The overall male-to-female sex ratio in the population was 1:1.5, which differed considerably from the real ratio of 1:1 (x2 = 6.8; p < 0.01). V. beso in the Geray reservoir exhibited virtually an isometric growth (b = 3) considering the length-weight relationships of males (TW = 0.0122TL2.993) and females (TW = 0.0114TL3.0139). The V. beso had an absolute fecundity (AF) of 2,190 to 11,265 eggs. AF was significantly correlated with TL, TW, and gonad weight (p < 0.01). V. beso's reproductive season peaked between November and May, with the gonadosomatic index ranging from 0.02 to 20.12 for females and 0.03 to 5.67 for males. The average V. beso condition factors for both sexes were higher than 1, indicating that the fish in the reservoir had properly developed, which may be the result of favorable habitat conditions.

간호대학생의 자기통제력과 휴대폰 중독적 사용의 관계 (Relationships between Self-Control and Addictive Mobile Phone Use by Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 일 대학 간호대학생의 자기통제력과 휴대폰 중독적 사용 정도 간의 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료 수집은 2012년10월 28일부터 2012년 10월 31일까지 B시에 위치한 4년제 간호학과에 재학 중인 1, 2, 3, 4학년을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient와 AMOS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 자기통제력은 평균 $3.42{\pm}0.45$점, 휴대폰 중독적 사용은 평균 $2.69{\pm}0.45$점이었고, 자기통제력과 휴대폰 중독적 사용 정도의 관계는 통계적으로 유의한 음의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다(t=-.447, p<.01). 또한, 휴대폰 중독적 사용이 자기통제력에 의해서 설명되는 부분은 28%로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 휴대폰 중독적 사용을 예방하기 위하여 자기 통제력을 향상시킬 수 있는 중재 프로그램 개발이 요구된다.

Stoichiometric Solvent Effect on SN1 Solvolytic Reactivity Accounting for Phenomenon of Maximum Rates in Methanol-Nitromethane Mixtures

  • Pseudo-first order rate constants $(k_{obs})$ are reported for the following solvolyses in approximately isodielectric mixtures: 3- and 4-methoxybenzyl chloride, bromo- and chlorodiphenylmethane, and 4-chloro-, 4,4'-dichloro and 4-methyl-chlorodiphenylmethane in 0-80% v/v nitromethane-methanol mixtures; and bromo- and chlorodiphenylmethane and 4-methyl-chlorodiphenylmethane in various acetonitrile-methanol mixtures (in the range 0-50% v/v) at$25^{\circ}C.$ These data, and literature data for t-butyl halides (Cl, Br, and I), and for p-methoxybenzoyl chloride, show rate maxima in solvent compositions of ca. 30% aprotic cosolvent, explained by a stoichiometric solvent effect on electrophilic solvation. Linear relationships are observed between $(k_{obs})/[MeOH]^2$ and [AP]/[MeOH], where [AP] refers to the molar concentration of aprotic cosolvent. The results are consistent with competing third order contributions to $k_{obs}$, $k_{MM}[MeOH]^2$ with hydrogen-bonded methanol as electrophile, and $k_{MAP}[MeOH][AP]$ with hydrogen-bonding disrupted by the aprotic solvent.

Doping된 Si반도체의 계면구조와 활성화과정 (Interfacial Structures and Activation Processes of Doped Si Semiconductors)

  • The approximations of charge relationships at normally doped semiconductor interfaces were qualitatively derived basis on electrical neutrality conditions. Effects of ion adsorptions, activation processes, interfacial structures, rectifying phenomena, and effects of surface potential barriers at the p- and n-Si/CsNO3 aqueous electrolytes, and the p-Si/(1HF:3HNO3:6H2O) electrolyte solutions were investigated using a cyclic voltammetric method. The space charge acts the most important role for the pn junction structures, the rectifying phenomena, and the activation processes. The Current-Voltage (I-V) characteristics curves significantly depend on developing of the Helmholtz double layers and charging of the show surface states during the activation processes. A linear Current-Voltage characteristics region was observed at the p-Si/(1HF:3HNO3: 6H2O) electrolyte solution interface.

  • Let $C[0,t]$ denote the function space of all real-valued continuous paths on $[0,t]$. Define $Xn:C[0,t]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ and $X_{n+1}:C[0,t]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}^{n+2}$ by $X_n(x)=(x(t_0),x(t_1),{\cdots},x(t_n))$ and $X_{n+1}(x)=(x(t_0),x(t_1),{\cdots},x(t_n),x(t_{n+1}))$, where $0=t_0$ < $t_1$ < ${\cdots}$ < $t_n$ < $t_{n+1}=t$. In the present paper, using simple formulas for the conditional expectations with the conditioning functions $X_n$ and $X_{n+1}$, we evaluate the $L_p(1{\leq}p{\leq}{\infty})$-analytic conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms and the conditional convolution products of the functions which have the form $${\int}_{L_2[0,t]}{{\exp}\{i(v,x)\}d{\sigma}(v)}{{\int}_{\mathbb{R}^r}}\;{\exp}\{i{\sum_{j=1}^{r}z_j(v_j,x)\}dp(z_1,{\cdots},z_r)$$ for $x{\in}C[0,t]$, where $\{v_1,{\cdots},v_r\}$ is an orthonormal subset of $L_2[0,t]$ and ${\sigma}$ and ${\rho}$ are the complex Borel measures of bounded variations on $L_2[0,t]$ and $\mathbb{R}^r$, respectively. We then investigate the inverse transforms of the function with their relationships and finally prove that the analytic conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms of the conditional convolution products for the functions, can be expressed in terms of the products of the conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms of each function.

국내 연약지반의 신뢰성있는 비배수 전단강도 추정을 위한 flat DMT와 인공신경망 이론의 적용 (Application of flat DMT and ANN for reliable estimation of undrained shear strength of Korean soft clay)

  • The flat dilatometer test(DMT) is a geotechnical tool to estimate in-situ properties of various types of ground materials. The undrained shear strength is known to be the most reliable and useful parameter obtained by DMT. However, the existing relationships which were established for other local deposits depend on the regional geotechnical characteristics. In addition, the flat dilatometer test results have been interpreted using three intermediate indicesmaterial index($I_p$), horizontal stres index($K_p$), and dilatometer modulus($E_p$) and the undrained shear strength is estimated only by using the horizontal stress index($K_D$). In this paper, an artificial neural network was developed to evaluate the undrained shear strength by DMT and the ANN, based on the $p_0,\;p_1,\;p_2,\;{\sigma}'_v_0$, and porewater pressure. The ANN which adopts the back-propagation algorithm was trained based on the DMT data obtained from Korean soft clay. To investigate the feasibility of ANN model, the prediction results obtained from data which were not used to train the ANN and those obtained from existing relationships were compared.

Stromelysin-1에 의한 펩타이드 가수분해에서 pH와 기질특이성 연구 (Distinctive pH Dependence and Substrate Specificity of Peptide Hydrolysis by Human Stromelysin-1)

  • A kinetic profile of the catalytic domain of stromelysin-1 (SCD) using the fluorescent peptide substrate has been determined by the stopped-flow technique. The pH profile has a pH optimum of about 5.5 with an extended shoulder above pH 7. Three pKa values, 5.0, 5.7, and 9.8 are found for the free enzyme state and two pH independent Kcat/Km values of 4.1$\times$104 M-1 s-1 and 1.4$\times$104 M-1 s-1 at low and high pH, respectively. The profile is quite different in shape with other MMP family which has been reported, having broad pH optimum with two pKa values. The substrate specificity of SCD towards fluorescent heptapeptide substrates has been also examined by thin layer chromatography. The cleavage sites of the substrates have been identified using reverse-phase HPLC method.SCD cleaves Dns-PLA↓L↓WAR and Dns-PLA↓L↓FAR at two positions. However, the Dns-PLA↓LRAR, Dns-PLE↓LFAR, adn Dns-PLSar↓LFAR are cleaved exclusively at one bond. The double cleavages of Dns-PLALWAR and Dns-PLALFAR by SCD are in marked contrast to the close structurally related matrilysin. A notable feature of SCD catalysis agrees with the structural data that the S1' pocket of SCD is deeper than that of matriysin. The differences observed between SCD and matrilysin may form the basis of understanding the structural relationships and substrate specificities of the MMP family in vivo.

덕유산 국립공원 삼림식생의 종 다양성 (Species Diversity of Forest Vegetation in Togyusan National Park)

  • Five measurements of species diversity (richness index, diversity index, evenness index, dominance index and species sequences-importance curve) and their relationships with sltitude, tree age and community type were studied in $T\v{o}gyusan$ National Park, Korea. Altitude and tree age were the major variables explaining the differences of species diversity in the whole forest. Species richness index, diversity index and evenness index of Quercus mongolica and Pinus densiflora communities were lower than those of Carpinus laxiflora, Q. serrata, Fraxinus mandshurica, Q. mongolica - P. densiflora communities than that in the other communities. The species sequence-importance curve of the forest communities in $T\v{o}gyusan$ coincided with the ideal curve calculated by the lognormal-distribution theory.
