이주속압연된 Cu-Fe-P 동합금 판재의 조직 및 기계적 성질 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of a Cu-Fe-P Copper Alloy Sheet Processed by Differential Speed Rolling)

  • The microstructure and mechanical properties of a Cu-Fe-P copper alloy processed by differential speed rolling (DSR) were investigated in detail. The copper alloy, with a thickness of 3 mm, was rolled to 50% reduction at ambient temperature without lubrication with a differential speed ratio of 2.0:1 and then annealed for 0.5h at various temperatures ranging from 100 to $800^{\circ}C$. Conventional rolling was performed under the same rolling conditions for comparison. The shear strain introduced by the conventional rolling process showed positive values at the positions of the upper roll side and negative values at the positions of the lower roll side. However, the result was zero or positive values at all positions for samples rolled by DSR. The effects of DSR on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the as-rolled and subsequently annealed samples are discussed.

분말고속도공구강을 활용한 베어링 레이스 열간 단조 금형의 수명 및 기계적 특성 (Life and Mechanical Properties of Hot Former Die for Bearing Race using P/M High Speed Steel)

  • P/M high speed steel (1.26% C, 4.42% Cr, 6.54% W, 4.92% Mo, 3.21 % V, 8.77% Co, bal. Fe) was applied to hot former die. It showed that the die life became 2.7 times higher than that of cast/wrought SKH 55 tool steel which is commercially used. The increase of die life was corresponding to the improved hardness and transverse rupture strength of PM high speed steel due to the finer grain and carbide as well as the uniform carbide distribution. The P/M high speed steel with the promoted die life could be an alternative to the conventional SKH55.

p-version 무한요소를 적용한 지반-구조물 상호작용해석의 계산속도 향상 (A Speed-Up in Computing Time for SSI Analysis by p-version Infinite Elements)

  • 이 연구에서는 p-version 동적무한요소법을 도입함으로써 FE-IE 기법에 기반한 KIESSI-3D 프로그램의 속도향상에 역점을 두었다. KIESSI-3D의 성능을 평가하기 위해 8가지 실규모 SSI 문제에 대한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 근역지반 모델의 반경($r_0$)이 구조물기초 반경(R)의 1.2배, 1.5배, 3.0배인 KIESSI-3D 해석모델을 고려하였다. 또한 SASSI2010 프로그램을 이용한 SSI 해석을 수행하였으며, 이 결과를 KIESI-3D에 의한 결과와 정확성 및 계산속도를 비교하였다. 수치해석 결과, 인 KIESI-3D 모델을 사용하면 정확한 해석을 수행할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 계산속도 측면을 보면, 새로운 KIESSI-3D의 해석속도는 기존 KIESSI-3D에 비해 최대 25배 빠른 것으로 나타났다.

통계분석을 이용한 경기도 대기 중 미세먼지 및 중금속 분포 특성 (Distribution Characteristics of PM10 and Heavy Metals in Ambient Air of Gyeonggi-do Area using Statistical Analysis)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the distribution characteristics of $PM_{10}$ and heavy metals concentrations in the ambient air of Gyeonggi-do area by region and season from February, 2013 to March, 2014. The regression model for the prediction of formation characteristics and contamination degree of $PM_{10}$ and heavy metals by correlation analysis and regression analysis for using the multivariate statistical analysis was also established. The main wind direction during the investigation period was South East (SE) and West South West (WSW) winds, and the concentration of $SO_2$ at Ansan with industrial region showed 1.6 times higher than Suwon, Euiwang with residential region. The concentrations (median) of Pb, Cu and Ni at Ansan showed 3.2~4.5, 1.9~2.2 and 1.7~2.6 times respectively higher than those at Suwon. By the seasonal concentration variation, the concentrations of $PM_{10}$, Pb, Fe and As in winter and spring (December to May) showed 1.7, 1.9, 1.9 and 2.7 times respectively higher than those in summer and fall (June to November). As, Fe and $PM_{10}$ had a big difference by the seasonal factors, and Cu and Ni were evaluated to be influenced by the regional factors. From the results of correlation analysis among the target items, the correlation coefficient of PM and Mn had 0.82 (p/0.01) and that of Fe and Mn had 0.82 (p/0.01), which showed high correlation. And the correlation coefficients for $SO_2$ and Pb, CO and $PM_{10}$ were 0.66 (p/0.01) and 0.62 (p/0.01) respectively. The multiple linear regression models for $PM_{10}$, Pb, Cu, Cr, As, Ni, Fe and Mn were established by independent variables of CO, $SO_2$ and meteorological factors (wind speed, relative humidity). In the regression models, independent variable $SO_2$ was in cause-and-effect relationship with all dependent variables, and $PM_{10}$, Fe and Mn were influenced by CO and wind speed, and Pb, Cu, Ni and As had a main factor of $SO_2$.

  • PCBs를 분해하는 Pseudomonas sp. P20 균주의 pcbC gene이 재조합 된 E. coli CK1092 균주를 이용하여 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl dioxygenase 생산에 미치는 배양조건을 검토하였다. E. coli CK1092를 2% sucrose가 포함된 LB 배지를 기본배지로 하여 질소원, 금속이온 등의 영향을 조사한 결과, $Fe^{3+}$$Fe^{2+}$$10^{-5}M$의 농도일때 효소생산이 증가되었으며 배양최적온도는 $37^{\circ}C$, 배양초기 pH 7.0일때 효소생산이 우수하였다. 배양조에서의 배양조건은 초기 pH 7.0, 통기량 1 v/v/m, 교반속도 200rpm에서 가장 효소생성이 우수하였다.

Streptomyces sp. NS15 배양액에 의한 $\alpha$-Glucosidase 저해 ($\alpha$-Glucosidase Inhibition by Culture Broth of Streptomyces sp. NS15)

  • For the production of nonprotein $\alpha$-glucosidase inhibitor from the Streptomyces sp. NS15 strain, effects of initial optimum pH, nitrogen sources, carbon sources, cationic metal ions, agitation speed and aeration rate were investigated. Initial optimum pH of medium was 7.0. The most effective nitrogen and carbon sources were soybean meal 2.0%(w/v) and glucose 1.6%(w/v), respectively. The cationic metal ins had no stimulating effect on inhibitory activity of $\alpha$-glucosidase except Fe2+. Agitation speed and aeration rate were effective at 400rpm and 1vvm, respectively. In the jar-fermenter cultivation for 4 days under optimal culture conditions, the culture broth showed the inhibitory acitivity of 3,200units/ml, which is 25 times higher than that of basic medium (CYM) for porcine intestinal $\alpha$-glucosidase. The inhibitory activity of $\alpha$-glucosidase reached about 3,200units/ml after 4 days of cultivation and decreased gradually for a further two days.

A highly effective route for removal of Hg2+ from the waste water using 3-nitrobenzelidenemalononitrile as a modifier of Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles

  • SiO2-coated magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2 NPs) were modified by 3-nitrobenzelidenmalononitrile and used as green linkages for removal of Hg2+ form the wastewater. In this research, it has been attempted to refer to the harmful effects of mercury ions for living things and how to remove such ions using very easy and practical technique. This study shows that by optimizing the test conditions, the efficiency of the removal of harmful ions such as mercury from the water contaminated with these ions can be increased. Conditions such as temperature, speed of agitation, pH of solution were tested for removal of mercury ions. The advantages of this method over other methods listed in the article are the rapid and easy nanocry synthesis. The generated and modified Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction, fourier transform infrared and scanning electron microscopy spectroscopy. The results show that the synthesized magnetic nanoparticles have the excellent performance for the removal of mercury(II) ion from the waste water.

Bacillus polymyxa KS-1에 의한 다당류 KS-1 생산의 발효 조건 (Cultural Conditions of Exopolysaccharide KS-1 Produced by Bacillus polymyxa KS-1)

  • 토양으로부터 분리 동정된 균주인 Bacillus polymyxa KS-1을 이용하여 이들이 생산하는 미생물 생 다당듀 KS-1의 생산을 위한 배지 및 배양조건을 조사하였다. 다당류 KS-1의 생산을 위한 애지의 조성은 증류수 1 liter당 glucose 30g, yeast extract $2.5g, KH_2PO_4 2.5g, NaCl 0.5g, MgSO_4.7H_20 0.3g, CaC0_3 0.05g, FeSO_4.7H_2O 0.05g, 그리고 MnS0_4 . 4H_20 0.05g$ 이 첨가된 배지에서 높은 정성 벚 다탕류 생산 을 얻을 수 있었으며, 이때 배양조건은 초기 pH와 배양온도는 각각 7.0과 $30^{\circ}C$, C에서 다당류 생산이 가 장 좋은 갯으로 조사되였다. 또한 이상의 최적조건 에서 발효조를 이용한 경우 통기량 빛 교반속도를 각각 2vvm과 400rpm으로 조절하여 배양한 경우 생산량은 liter당 약 10.3g의 다당류 KS-1이 얻어졌다.

Production of 1-Deoxynojirimycin by Streptomyces sp. SID9135

  • To increase the high production of 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) from Streptomyces sp. SID9135, the effect of various carbon sources, nitrogen sources, cationic metal ions, the initial pH of the medium, and agitation speed were investigated. The most effective carbon and nitrogen sources were found to be lactose 2.5% (w/v) and soybean meal 2.0% (w/v), respectively. None of the cationic metal ions examined had any detectable stimulating effect on DNJ production except $Fe^{+2}$ ion. The initial optimum pH for DNJ production ranged from 6-8 and agitation speed was most effective at 400 rpm. In the jar fermentor experiments under optimal culture conditions, the accumulation of DNJ reached about $640{\mu}g$/ml after 5 days of cultivation and the level remained the same for a further two days.

분말고속도공구강으로 만든 분말성형펀치의 손상분석 (Failure analysis of powder compacting punches made of powder metallurgy high speed steels)

  • P/M high speed steels(1.28% C, 4.20% Cr, 6.40% W, 5.00% Mo, 3.10% V, bal. Fe) from two different venders were applied to powder compacting punch. The test results show that failure lifes were very different between two punches. These were no difference in volume fraction and mean size of carbides(MC or M6C) but non-metallic inclusions in two punches. Small amount of non-metallic inclusion in the punch did not greatly affect impact energy and transverse rupture strength (TRS). But, fatigue life was drastically decreased by non-metallic inclusions. These results show that fatigue failure was initated around non-metallic inclusion by cyclic load and the fatigue life was greatly affected by the presence of non-metallic inclusions in the punch.
