오존을 이용한 도시하수슬러지의 처리 (Treatment of Municipal Sewage Sludge by Ozonization)

  • This study was performed to determine the possibility of sludge treatment by ozone for reducing the sludge production in sewage treatment. To evaluate the characteristics of the release of organic matters and nutrient from sludge degradation by ozone, SCOD, SBOD/TCOD, T-N and T-P were analyzed. From the results, we concluded that the concentration of soluble organic matters(SCOD) was increased with reaction time. Also, The concentration of T-N and T-P were increased with time like as organic matters. Quantities of released SCOD, SBOD, T-N and T-P by ozonization were 0.038g, 0.058 g, 0.011 g, 0.012 g per g MLSS, respectively.

  • The objective of this study is to assess the possibility of ozone as an environmentally friendly new deinking alternative for conventional deinking method. It is well known that the white ledger is very difficult to deink because the toner ink has the peculiar shape and size. Ozonization could remove the ink particles above 300 microns and thus improved the ink removal efficiency. Ozonization also improved the WRV of recycled fiber and apparent density, scott bond strength , breaking length, double fold and tear index. Thus, we believe that ozonization could be used as a deinking means of white ledger instead of the convention미 deinking method.

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of physical and chemical characteristics of lower grade tobacco with treatment of ozone. In ozonization of low grade tobacco, optimum moisture was 20 percentage, and decrease ratio of content of tobacco leaf was 30 percentage in nicotine , 15.9 percentage in total volatile base, 10.5 percentage in petroleum-ether-extract, 29.5 percentage in solanesol, and decrease ratio of cigarette smoke composition was 31 percentage in nicotine, 6.08 percentage in tar.

  • 해수중 잔류옥시던트(TRO) 농도를 0.1, 0.3 및 0.5 mg/liter로 조정하고 시간 경과에 따른 농도의 안정성을 관찰한 결과 0.1 mg/liter의 경우 측정 20분까지는 변화를 보이지 않았고, 0.3 및 0.5 mg/liter 에서는 1시간 경과시까지 안정하였다. 해수를 오존처리하여 해수중에 생성되는 TRO를 이용하여 해산어류 병원세균인 Edwardsiella tarda, Vibrio sp., Streptococcus sp., Staphylococcus sp.에 대한 살균효과를 실험한 결과 0.1 mg/liter에서 3분간의 처리로 99.9% 이상, 0.3~0.5 mg/liter에서는 30초에서 1분간의 반응시간으로 99.99% 이상이 살균되어졌다.

Microbiological Contamination and Sanitary Management of Aquarium Water in the Busan Area

  • This research has been performed by our own investigation, also cooperated with Health and Sanification Division and each of district offices in Busan metropolitan city. After choosing, we collected water samples five times for microbiological examination. As a result of investigating in 160 water samples from urban areas, we could detect 88 cases of Vibrio spp. Furthermore, there were four cases exceeding the acceptable limit of aquarium water (100,00/mL) and another four cases exceeding the limit of Coliform group (1,000 below/100 mL). As a result of investigating that we performed for 271 cases of water samples from coastal areas from April to November, we could detect 130 cases of vibrio species and 10 cases of Coliform group. After performing 17 kinds of antibiotic susceptibility test for 41 cases of isolated Vibrio parahaemolyticus, 27 cases showed tolerance to Amplicllin (AM), all of 31 cases showed intermediate resistance only to Cefazolin (CF) but had sensitivity to the rest of them. As a result of performing antibiotic susceptibility test, serum test and PFGE gene analysis on each 10 pair of Vibrio parahaemolyticus detected concurrently from intake-pipe water and, aquarium water, we couldn't get data showing that they are clearly same species in three kinds of test. In addition, UV sterilization, Ozonization and so on. Based on our research, intake pipe didn't have a problem with microbiological contamination so we are sure that the germ came from supplied fish had caused that kind of contamination. For effective management, UV sterilization or Ozonization which can be handled consistently should be adopted in aquarium.

발암물질인 아플라톡신 $G_1$의 탈독소화 반응에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Detoxification of Aflatoxin $G_1$ in Cancer Compound)

  • The Oxidation of aflatoxin $G_1$ ($AFG_1$) with ozone in chloroform solvent gave the stable ozonide into ozonization of the double bond in the terminal furan ring, and this reaction have been carried out for 3hr at -78. 5$^{\circ}C$. The chloroform solvent was removed in a stream of nitrogen and the residue was separated by elution chromatography(EC). The structure of this compound have been identified by using MS, $^1H-NMR$, $^l3C-NMR$ and I. R spectroscopy, respectively. This compound was formed the normal stable AFG$_1$-ozonide into spontaneous rearrangement after unstable ozonide according to sigmatropic rearrange ment dependent upon cyclo addition by ozone.

돼지분뇨 슬러리 전처리가 메탄 생성 효율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Pre-Treatment of Pig Slurry for Methane Production in Anaerobic Digestion Process)

  • 본 연구는 돼지분뇨 슬러리를 이용하여 혐기소화 하는 과정에서 소화원료 중에 포함된 고형물의 크기를 감소시키는 전 처리 기술의 적용에 따른 메탄생성 효율을 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 소화원료의 입자 크기 감소는 혐기소화 과정에서의 가수분해 정도를 높여서 혐기소화 효율을 증진시킨다. 본 시험에서 적용한 전 처리 방법으로는 오존을 이용한 방법, 캐비테이션을 이용한 방법 그리고 분쇄장치를 이용하여 물리적으로 고형물 크기를 줄이는 방법 등을 적용했다. 전 처리 방법에 따른 메탄가스 발생량은 분쇄 방법, 오존 적용, 캐비테이션 적용 방법 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 두 가지의 전 처리 방법을 병합하여 적용하는 복합공정으로 처리하였을 경우에는 분쇄 처리 후 오존 처리, 캐비테이션 처리 후 오존 처리, 분쇄 처리 후 캐비테이션 처리를 적용하는 순으로 전 처리효과가 높게 나타났다. 돼지분뇨 슬러리를 두 가지 조합의 병합 공정으로 처리하였을 경우 단독 공정에 비해 메탄 발생량이 약 20% 이상 증가하였다. 평균 메탄함량 역시 분쇄 처리 후 오존 처리를 병합한 처리구에서 높게 나타났다. 돼지분뇨 슬러리를 소화원료로 이용하여 시험용 소화조 운영하였을 때 가스 발생량 평균값과 메탄의 평균농도는 전 처리를 하지 않은 경우에는 각각 298.8L와 55.7%인 반면에 전 처리를 실시한 시험구에서는 각각 325.9L와 59.7% 수준을 나타냄으로써 돼지분뇨 슬러리의 경우에서도 전 처리의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전 처리를 하였을 경우가 처리하지 않은 구에 비해 바이오가스 중의 메탄함량은 높고 CO2 함량은 상대적으로 더 낮게 나타났다. 돼지분뇨 슬러리에 대해 전 처리를 수행하였을 경우가 전 처리를 하지 않은 경우에 비해 유입 VS당 가스발생량도 더 많았다.

Binder-free Sn/Graphene Nanocomposites Prepared by Electrophoretic Deposition for Anode Materials in Lithium Ion Batteries

  • Nanocomposites consisting of Sn nanoparticles and graphene oxide (GO) were electrophoretically deposited onto Cu current collectors that was used for anodes in Li ion batteries (LIBs). In order to optimize the electrochemical performance of nanocomposites as an anode material by controlling the oxygen functionality, the GO was subjected to $O_3$ treatment prior to electrophoretic deposition (EPD). During thermal reduction of the GO in the nanocomposites, the Sn nanoparticles were reduced in size, along with the formation of SnO and/or $SnO_2$ at a small fraction, relying on the oxygen functionalities of the GO. The variation in the duration of time for the $O_3$ irradiation resulted in a small change in total oxygen content, but in a significantly different fraction of each functional group in the GO, which influenced the Sn nanoparticle size and the amount of SnO (and/or $SnO_2$). As a result, the EPD films prepared with the GO that possessed the least amount of carboxylic groups (made by treating GO in an $O_3$ environment for 3 h) showed the best performance, when compared with the nanocomposites composed of untreated GO or GO that was $O_3$-treated for a duration of less than 3 h.
