P의 함량에 따른 Sn-Ag-Cu 및 Sn-Cu 무연솔더의 특성평가 (Characterization of the Sn-Ag-Cu and Sn-Cu Lead-free Solder by adding P)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the solder properties by the change of P mass percentage. Tension test, wetting balance test, spread test, and analysis of intermetallic compound after isothermal aging of Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.005P, Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.01P, Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.02P, Sn-0.7Cu-0.005P were performed. Adding P in the solder alloys resulted in improvement of tensile strength, reduction of intermetallic compound growth, reduction of oxidization in fusible solders under wave soldering. After comparing solder alloy containing P with tin-lead eutectic solder alloy, P contained solders alloys showed much better solder properties than eutectic solder alloy. Furthermore, this solder alloy presented remarkable properties than any other lead-free solder alloy.

  • Recently the ozone generation system is well used for cleaning the contaminated water by using the strong oxidization effects. Accordingly, with the purpose of improving ozone yield at the peak of ozone concentration, this paper describes the stracture and characteristics of ozonizer, and focused on the development of a 3E-3G discharge tube.

  • Recently the ozone generation system is well used for cleaning the contaminated water by using the strong oxidization effects of ozone. Ozone generation system is composed of ozone generation device, air or oxygen supply device and high voltage apply device. In this paper, commercial frequency was applied to the wire typed conductor. The ozone concentration was measured with air or oxygen as a supplied gas, which can be used as basic data for the development of ozonizer system.

Bioinspired Metal Surfaces by Plasma Treatment

  • The exterior structures of natural organisms have continuously evolved by controlling wettability, such as the Namib Desert beetle, whose back has hydrophilic/hydrophobic contrast for water harvesting by mist condensation in dry desert environments, and some plant leaves that have hierarchical micro/nanostructures to collect or repel liquid water. In this work, we have provided a method for wettability contrast on metals by both nano-flake or needle patterns and tuning of the surface energy. Metals including steel alloys and aluminum were provided with hierarchical micro/nanostructures of metaloxides induced by fluorination and a subsequent catalytic reaction of fluorine ions on metal surfaces in water with various ranges from room to boiling temperature of water. Then, a hydrophobic material was deposited on the structured surfaces, rendering superhydrophobicity. Plasma oxidization induces the formation of superhydrophilic surfaces on selective regions surrounded by superhydrophobic surfaces. We show that wettability contrast surfaces align liquid water within patterned hydrophilic regions during the condensation process. Furthermore, this method could have a greater potential to align other liquids or living cells.

유기 전기발광 소자에 관한 연구 (A Research on Organic Electro-luminescence)

  • Organic EL has been expected to adopt to a new styles of technology that make flat display after Tang & Vanslyke made good electric luminescence device in late 1980s. Their studies based on multi layer structure that consists of emitting layer and carrier transporting layer using proper organic material. In this study, we made multi layer device using $Eu(TTA)_3(phen)$ as a luminescence material by PVD and investigate luminous properties of each device. But oxidization of organic layer by ITO, energy walls in both pole interface, contaminations of ITO surface, importance of protecting membrane, diffusive dimming of light to cathode organic layer, these causes of degradations are common facts of a macromolecule and micromolecule. We think these degradation caused by the impact of heat and electro-chemical factor, bulk effect and interface phenomenon, and raise a question.

  • This paper was investigated the lead free solder characteristics by P mass percentage chang e. Tension test, wetting balance test, spread test, and analysis of intermetallic compound after isothermal aging of Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.005P, Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.01P, Sn-2.5Ag-0.7Cu-0.02P, Sn-0.7Cu-0.005P were performed for estimation. Adsorption behaviour of film-forming amine on pre-oxidized carbon steel surface

  • The maintenance of condenser main pipe is the key to achieve film-forming amine maintenance effectiveness. In this work, oxygen content, pH and temperature of the solution were controlled to simulate the condition of condenser main pipe, and magnetite coated carbon steel sample was prepared by pre-oxidization. CAM was used to characterize the hydrophobicity of film formed samples. Hydrophobic film was formed on pre-oxidized carbon steel samples when octadecylamine concentration reaches 20 mg/kg. SEM, EDS, EIS, and PD were used to characterize the influence of octadecylamine concentration on maintenance effectiveness. It was found that the maintenance effectiveness was enhanced and the corrosion rate was suppressed with the increase of octadecylamine concentration. FIB and TEM were used to detect the adsorbed octadecylamine film thickness founding that octadecylamine adsorbed onto the surface of pre-oxidized carbon steel by multi-layer adsorption mechanism.

Methodological approach of evaluation on prefabrication primers for steel structures

  • To the date, shipbuilding companies have applied shop primer coating which protects the steel surface from global oxidization in environment. Proper shop primer requires either anti-corrosion ability during construction or anti-porosity ability during welding, and those properties contradict to each other. This report tried to derive an optimizing parameter on these conflicting properties to select a proper shop primer. First, sufficient amounts of the natural salt spray tests were carried out to achieve a series of data for the anti-corrosion ability. Second, lots of T-joint fillet welding test were performed to evaluate the trapped porosity formed in the weld pool. According to the experimental data, we could achieve either the rust-formation rate or the porosity-formation rate, then, each rate was generalized as formulae. Then, we tried to combine these conflicting properties to decide an optimum shop primer.
