  • Tempered electronic contents have multiplied in last few years, thanks to the emergence of sophisticated artificial intelligence(AI) algorithms. Deepfakes (fake footage, photos, speech, and videos) can be a frightening and destructive phenomenon that has the capacity to distort the facts and hamper reputation by presenting a fake reality. Evidence of ownership or authentication of digital material is crucial for combating the fabricated content influx we are facing today. Current solutions lack the capacity to track digital media's history and provenance. Due to the rise of misrepresentation created by technologies like deepfake, detection algorithms are required to verify the integrity of digital content. Many real-world scenarios have been claimed to benefit from blockchain's authentication capabilities. Despite the scattered efforts surrounding such remedies, relatively little research has been undertaken to discover where blockchain technology can be used to tackle the deepfake problem. Latest blockchain based innovations such as Smart Contract, Hyperledger fabric can play a vital role against the manipulation of digital content. The goal of this paper is to summarize and discuss the ongoing researches related to blockchain's capabilities to protect digital content authentication. We have also suggested a blockchain (smart contract) dependent framework that can keep the data integrity of original content and thus prevent deepfake. This study also aims at discussing how blockchain technology can be used more effectively in deepfake prevention as well as highlight the current state of deepfake video detection research, including the generating process, various detection algorithms, and existing benchmarks.

  • Digital watermarking is technique, which owner's information is inserted in digital image, with intention to protecting a copyright of digital image. In watermarking for copyright and authentication, watermark shouldn't be distorted or disappeared after general image processes like a compression and filtering. In this paper, we present a new digital image watermarking algorithm which combines the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and the singular value decomposition (SVD). Simulation results show that the newly proposed algorithm is not only robust nevertheless variable attacks like noise, filtering and JPEG compression but also secure in application.

  • The rapid growth of multimedia network systems has caused overflowing illegal copies of digital contents. Among digital contents, watermarking technique can be used to protect ownership about the image. Copyright protection involves the authentication of image ownership and the identification of illegal copies of image. In this paper, a new digital watermarking technique using HVS and adaptive scale factor based on the wavelet transform is proposed to use the binary image watermark. The original image is decomposed by 3-level wavelet transform. It is embedded to baseband and high frequency band. The embedding in the baseband is considered robustness, the embedding in the high frequency band is concerned about HVS and invisibility. The watermarking of a visually recognizable binary image used the HVS and random permutation to protect the copyright. From the experimental results, we confirm that the proposed technique is strong to various attacks such as joint photographic experts ground(JPEG) compression, cropping, collusion, and inversion of lines.

  • We are required to adequately adjust the distributed contents to each device and users' demands on the network and to obtain authentication of ownership for our information to prevent the illegal usage of our digital information by non-owners. In this paper, we propose scalable digital watermarking of contents within a compression domain based on Orthogonal Forward Wavelet Transforms, and the proposed method focuses on robust watermark algorithms that are not visually recognizable to embedded ownership information. Therefore, it proposes a watermark insertion methods based on spread spectrum techniques and Provides a watermark key. As a result, it not only extracted the contained watermark from the intentionally altered images, but also secured the watermark information extraction from partial images and ensure the decrease of BER (Bit Error Rate) in the images containing watermarks even when more watermark inserted images are transmitted.

  • Because the embedded watermark of luminance component guarantees the extraction of ownership information when the color image is converted to gray scale image, the information of ownership right as to the luminance component is embedded in the luminance-chrominance color space such as YCbCr. Therefore, this paper proposes watermark embedding, extraction and authentication algorithm of color image. which considers the device and performance of multimedia contents service by focusing on the robustness and invisibility of watermark. The color image is converted from RGB color space to YCbCr color space, and then the properties of each component of Y(Luminance), Cb(Color Differences) and Cr(Color Differences) are considered in order to embed, extract and certify multi-level watermark in the frequency domain based on the wavelet. As a result, it can guaranteed the robustness for the JPEG compression and invisibility of watermark for multi-level.

  • The biometrics information is very useful by the convenience of ownership and using. but the risk of crime of malicious re-uses and infringement of personal privacy exist because the biometrics information is impossible to change typically when the illegal interception occurred from others. therefore the importance of security on stored management of biometrics information has been increased steadily. the existing biometric authentication system has been stored only encrypted complete template at a single storage place. In this paper, we designed the Distributed Stored of Multiple Split bio_Template System that a template is divided in different ways by each user and stored in other storage places from personal information to relieve user's anxiety about the saved template and illegally leaked through restored only template to authenticate and then delete.

  • Neighbor Discovery (ND) protocol was proposed to discover neighboring hosts and routers in IPv6 wire/wireless local networks. ND protocol, however, has a problem that it is vulnerable to network attacks because ND protocol allows malicious users to impersonate other legitimate hosts or routers by forging ND protocol messages. To address the security problem, Secure Neighbor Discovery (SEND) protocol was proposed. SEND protocol provides address ownership proof mechanism, ND protocol message protection mechanism, reply attack prevention mechanism, and router authentication mechanism to protect ND protocol. In this paper, we design and implement SEND protocol in IPv6 local networks. And also, we evaluate and analyze the security vulnerability and performance of SEND protocol by experimenting the implemented SEND protocol on IPv6 networks.

  • As used product transactions are currently on the rise, the demand for transactions of secondhand digital content will grow in the future; thus, learning to make secure transactions while avoiding cyber attacks becomes an important issue. In this paper, we combine the new buyer's secret key, the new buyer's watermark to embed in resold digital content, and the reseller's encrypted watermark, which can prove legal ownership of the reseller. Using the privacy homomorphism property of RSA and exponential calculus, the original seller of digital content can verify the legality of the reseller and the new buyer. We also reduced the load of encryption/decryption digital content using a partial encryption/decryption algorithm to make our protocol more efficient and practical. In the proposed protocol, the seller is not able to conduct piracy and easily frame any other innocent secondhand buyer when a case of piracy is found. In fact, piracy can be clearly traced using the privacy homomorphism property of RSA and the embedded watermark mechanism. Further, in the proposed protocol, the seller himself can trace the piracy using exponential calculus. Since it is unnecessary to trust third party participation, the conspiracy problem is resolved and the new buyer is not required to participate in the dispute. Moreover, the seller, reseller and new buyer can simultaneously benefit from the secondhand transaction.

  • A digital hologram generated by a computer calculation (computer-generated hologram or capture using charge-coupled device [CCD] camera) is one of the most expensive types of content, and its usage is expanding. Thus, it is highly necessary to protect the ownership of digital holograms. This paper presents an efficient visual security scheme for holographic image reconstruction with a low scrambling cost. Most recent studies on optical security concentrate their focus on security authentication using optical characteristics. However, in this paper, we propose an efficient scrambling method to protect a digital hologram. Therefore, we introduce in this paper several scrambling attempts in both the spatial domain and frequency domain on the basis of the results of analyzing the properties of the coefficients in each domain. To effectively hide the image information, 1/4, 1/256, and 1/16,384 of the original digital hologram needs to be scrambled for the spatial-domain scheme, Fresnel-domain scheme, and discrete cosine transform-domain scheme, respectively. The encryption schemes and the analyses in this paper can be expected to be useful in the research on encryption and other works on digital holograms.
