한국기업의 해외직접투자 모형설정에 관한 실증 연구 (동아시아 6개국 중심:01-08) (An Empirical Study on the Modeling Determinants and Effects of Korean FDI (Focused on six Country of East Asia:01-08))

  • This research is about global investment for managing the important position, what Korea is doing in World's main market. Considering there are some differences between developed countries' model and developing countries' model in doing direct overseas investment, they target to get political agreement and develop the new invest plan and strategy by understanding changes of Korean manufacturing companies in direct overseas investment between 2001 and 2008 and analyzing the change of yearly investment motivation. The result from this result let us know that company should develop their own idea for their competitive advantage by doing direct overseas investment. And, the overseas investment, which was already done in other countries, 1. Review its realities and tendency in terms of investing countries, industries, and its scale and then Set up an actual model, based on strategic combination of investing location select and determination of Korean manufacturing companies. 2. Analyze how the situational factors have influenced and what factors would be considered for direct overseas investment. From the analyzing result, even though it is fairly true that raising wage and getting resources, and developing alternating industries for export had influenced at the beginning, overseas investing companies' policy will be influenced by the results from studying marketing-pursuit type, local producing and manufacturing by using low-wage people for local sale, and situation for changing investing tendency as service industry.

A Study on Policies of Chinese Overseas Talents and Entrepreneurial Activities in Distribution Industry

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the policies on and changes of elite training through overseas study and their impact on China's national development when entrepreneurs return home. In particular, it analyzed returnee entrepreneurs in the distribution industry. Research design, data and methodology: This study largely analyzed the Chinese government's policy of attracting foreign talent and the results of the policy. The research method utilized the Chinese Statistical Yearbook and various literature. This study also used case analysis methods for start-ups by haigui in the distribution industry. Results: According to the analysis, the Chinese government is implementing various policies to attract talent. Representatively, the government actively attracts talent through the Hundred Talents Plan, Thousand Talents Plan, Chunhui Program and Chizi Program. In addition, the Changjiang Scholars Program is attracting foreign talent. As a result, many talented people are leading development of the Chinese economy. Conclusions: The Chinese government is actively pursuing policies to attract talents from overseas. In addition, it has established a system in which government ministries and research institutes can work closely together to secure effectiveness in attracting overseas talents. Through this, overseas talents are playing an important role in China's economic development through new start-up activities including the distribution industry.

실물경기변동 모형을 이용한 해외석유가스 개발사업의 경제적 효과분석 (A Real Business Cycle Model to Study the Effect of Overseas Oil Resource Development on the Korean Economy)

  • 해외자원개발은 부존자원이 빈약한 우리나라의 에너지 안보 역량을 제고할 수 있는 중요한 핵심 수단이다. 해외 석유가스개발사업의 경제적 파급효과를 분석하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 실물경기변동 모형을 에너지 가격을 포함한 형태로 확장하였다. 연산의 투명성과 효율성을 제고하기 위하여 선형이차 동태계획법을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 해외석유개발 사업이 에너지 가격 안정화를 통해 경제에 미치는 효과는 GDP를 약 0.47% 증가시킨 효과 (2012년 GDP 기준 연간 약 5.7조 원)에 비견되는 것으로 평가되어, 해외석유개발사업에의 지속적인 투자 확대와 지원이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

해외 역직구 비즈니스 모델 유형분류 및 분석 (Classification and Analysis for the Business Models of Reverse Overseas Direct Purchasing)

  • This study aims at classifying and analyzing the business models of reverse overseas direct purchasing through online shopping-malls. After analyzing the current status of the reverse overseas direct purchasing online markets, this study identifies relevant critical business factors and synthesizes prior studies to construct and analyse the business models. This study proposes that the business models can be classified into five types according to the operation modes and three types according to the delivery methods. So theoretically 15 business models can be identified. For each business model this study analyzes the characteristics and the pros & cons. It also suggests deployment strategies for companies by considering cost reduction, brand establishment, customer management, customer aquisition, and easiness from the business perspective. From the customers perspective, cost reduction, reliability, royalty, ease to purchase, and accessibility can be considered according to the types of operation mode. The main contribution of this study is to provide the basic classifications and structures of reverse overseas direct purchasing business models systematically. As the result, our study evaluates the business models that which one is better than others in a situation in terms of company and customer. Lastly, we talk about limits and future prospects of the study.

국외근로자 비과세제도 개선방안 연구 : 국제선항공승무원을 중심으로 (A Study on the Improvement Plan of the Tax-Free System for Overseas Laborers : Focusing on International Air Crew)

  • Since the tax-free system for overseas laborers was implemented in 1974, the tax-free limits of international air crew, overseas construction workers and crewmen of deep-sea fishing ships and ocean-going ships had been identical by 2005, but there are big differences, currently. The Ministry of Strategy and Finance pointed out the poor working environments and international competitiveness of the industries to explain the reason for the differential tax-free limit. From this perspective, the fairness of the tax-free system for overseas laborers was analyzed. This is an empirical study, based on the objective fact. The study finding showed that international air crew were working in the structural flight work environments to threaten the right of health due to jet lag and excessive exposure to high-altitude cosmic radiation. Therefore, it was analyzed there should be a proper system reform to apply the tax-free limits to international air crew which are identical to those applied to overseas construction workers and crewmen of deep-sea fishing ships and ocean-going ships, for a fair taxation.

대학생의 단기해외봉사활동 경험 (Short-Term Overseas Volunteer Work Experience of College Students)

  • 본 연구는 단기해외봉사활동에 참여하였던 대학생을 대상으로 봉사활동경험의 의미와 본질을 탐구하고자 수행되었다. 자료는 K도에 소재한 일부 대학에 재학 중인 학생 14명을 2020년 5월 5일부터 8월 30일까지 면대면 심층면담을 통해 수집되었다. 면담자료는 Colaizzi(1978)의 현상학적 방법을 사용하여 분석하였으며 자료 분석 결과 10개 주제와 5개의 범주가 도출되었다. 5개 범주는 '해외봉사활동에 대한 기대감을 가짐', '환경은 다르지만 수용하며 다가감', '예상하지 못한 상황에 당황스러움', '활동의 한계를 자각함', '더 넓은 시야로 바라보게 됨'이다. 본 연구에서 대학생은 해외봉사활동을 통해 새로운 세계를 접하고 환경은 다르지만 수용하고 적응하면서 글로벌 시대에 필요한 좀 더 폭넓은 시야를 갖는 계기를 마련하였다.

Buying Korean Products through Overseas Direct Purchase as a Distribution Means in China

  • Purpose: This study focuses on the buying Korean products by Chinese consumers through overseas direct purchase as a distribution means (tool) because they are interested in Korean products because of their excellence. Major variables are national brand, curiosity, price, product quality. Research design, data, and methodology: To make effective analysis, several tools and programs for analysis are used with SPSS Statistics ver. 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. Results: National brand, price, product quality have affirmative impacts on satisfaction and repurchase through overseas direct purchase. But curiosity does not have. Among them the most important variable is product quality. This is the same as Chinese consumers think product quality is the most valuable one when buying Korean products through overseas direct purchase. Next one is price. The last one is a national brand. Conclusions: Among the variables of overseas direct purchase, product quality has the biggest impact on satisfaction and repurchase positively. This means that many Chinese consumers are interested in product quality manufactured in Korea. Also Korean product quality is better than that of China until now. Korean companies should, strongly and continuously, have to improve the quality of Korean products because China focuses on product quality in the distribution process in the national base.

Relevance of Purchasing Equipment of Overseas Direct Purchase in Korea

  • Purpose - The goal of this study is to grasp the current status of the latest overseas direct purchase trends and diversified consumption tendencies, and it can be used as basic quantitative data for selecting the overseas direct purchase market and establishing policies in the e-commerce industry. This study examines the relevance between purchasing equipment and four demographics. Traits of the underlying purchasing equipment are cell phones, tablet PCs and PCs & notebooks. Research design, data, and methodology -This survey was performed in 2021 on a total of 4,537 combined panel households covering 3,510 households and 191,027 additionally set in 2019 and approximately 10,800 household members. In particular, correspondence analysis is utilized to mine the relevance among the underlying variables. Result - It is proved that the underlying demographics except age are relevant to the purchasing equipment of online overseas shopping. Especially, cell phones are closely relevant '2 million-3 million won', jointly relevant to 'service and office work' and marginally to all other academic levels except graduate school or higher. Conclusion - Under intense competition, overseas direct purchase shopping malls should strive to provide not only price competitiveness but better service and customer value in order to continue to grow.

A QUANTITATIVE APPROACH FOR ASSESSING THE OVERSEAS BUSINESS CAPABILITIES OF CONSTRUCTION FIRMS

  • Although global construction spending has experienced slow growth due to consecutive economic crises, global contractors have consistently attempted to expand their overseas market share, leading to more intense competition among contractors in the international construction market. In this market environment, owners, clients and financial institutions require reasonable and systematic criteria to effectively assess the business capabilities of international construction firms. However, the existing evaluation methods for construction firms rarely consider overseas-focused business capabilities. To address this problem, this study proposes a quantitative approach to assessing the overseas business capabilities of international construction firms. The limitations of existing approaches are reviewed, and the capabilities required to perform overseas businesses are analyzed through expert interviews. Finally, 18 evaluation indices are suggested in four categories: technology resources, project management, experience and performance, and sustainability. The relative weight of each index is determined according to the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and a preliminary investigation of 11 Korean construction firms is conducted. The proposed method is expected that it will provide the rational criteria for international owners, clients, and financial institutions for decision-making and for evaluating international contractors.

홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 해외 동반진출에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on Joint Overseas Expansion of Home Shopping Firm and Consumer Goods SMEs)

  • 우리나라의 지속적인 경제발전과 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 대기업과 중소기업의 간의 균형 잡힌 발전이 필요하다. 이에 대 중소기업간 상생 및 해외 동반진출에 대한 관심이 높으며, 정부에서도 여러 가지 지원정책을 늘리고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 네트워크 이론의 관점에서 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 협력관계를 바탕으로 한 해외 동반진출 사례를 고찰하고, 유통대기업-소비재 중소기업의 동반진출을 설명하는 모델을 구축하고자 한다. 이를 위해 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 해외 동반진출과 관련한 인터뷰를 통해, 유통구조의 특수성을 고려한 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업의 효율적인 해외 동반진출 확대 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이에 해외 동반진출을 하고 있는 3개의 홈쇼핑 기업과 3개의 소비재 중소기업을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 홈쇼핑 기업은 소비재 중소기업의 해외 판로 개척에 도움이 되며, 자원과 역량이 부족한 중소기업에게 경영 및 마케팅 역량을 활용할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 홈쇼핑 기업이 소비재 중소기업을 지원하기 위해 인서트 영상을 제작하거나 관련 언어를 번역해주기도 하며, 무역통관과 관련된 서류 작성을 도와주기도 한다. 또한 해외 시장개척단을 구성하여 해외시장 정보 제공 등의 지원을 한다. 이러한 홈쇼핑 기업의 지원을 이용하여 소비재 중소기업은 해외 시장을 개척하고 있다. 그렇지만 아직까지는 홈쇼핑 기업에게 해외 동반진출이 주는 실질적인 혜택이 미미하기 때문에 장기적으로 서로 win-win할 수 있는 전략이 필요하다. 이를 위해 해외 동반진출을 독려할 수 있도록 실질적인 혜택을 제공해야 하며, 궁극적으로 홈쇼핑 기업과 소비재 중소기업 간의 균형적 발전을 도모해야 한다.
