가공지선 전류 검출 방식의 송전선 사고 및 낙뢰 구간 검출 시스템 개발 (The Development of Fault and Lightning Stroke Section Location System for Overhead Transmission Line)

  • This paper deals with the development of on-line fault and lightning stroke section locating system for branched overhead transmission line. The section locating algorithm of this system i3 by analyzing the distribution pattern of current flowing through the overhead ground wire. It composes of three parts; current sensors, local remote terminal unit(RTU) and analysis program at surveillance tenter. Double Rogowski coil sensor having integrating amplifier was designed as current sensor. In order for current pattern analysis, the transmitted waves from each sensor wert synchronized by GPS tim c clock in RTU. While, lightning stroke location are judged only by polarity information of lightning currents. This design has a benefit in simplicity of signal processing unit of RTU.

Pantograph-catenary Dynamic Interaction for a Overhead Line Supported by Noise Barrier

  • Subject of the paper is a particular configuration of overhead line, in which noise barrier structure is used as supports of the catenary instead of standard poles. This configuration is foreseen in case the noise barrier position is in conflict with the poles location. If the catenary is supported by the noise barrier, the motion that the latter undergo due to wave pressure associated to train transit is transmitted to the overhead line, so that potentially it influences the interaction between the catenary itself and the pantograph of the passing train. The paper focuses on the influence of such peculiar configuration on the quality of the current collection of high speed pantograph, for single and double current collection. The study has been carried out first with an experimental investigation on the pressure distribution on noise barrier, both in wind tunnel and with in-field tests. Subsequently a numerical analysis of the dynamics of the barrier subjected to the wave pressure due to train transit has been carried out, and the output of such analysis has been used as input data for the simulation of the pantograph-dynamic interaction at different speeds and with front or rear pantograph in operation. Consideration of structural modifications was then highlighted, in order to reduce the influence on the contact loss percentage.

전력선통신을 위한 고압 배전선로의 방사전계강도 계산 (Calculation of Radiative Electric Field Intensity of Overhead Medium-Voltage Power lines for Power Line Communication)

  • 본 논문에서는 전력선 통신을 위해 사용되는 고압 배전선로에서 통신신호 및 잡음신호에 의해 방사되는 방사전계강도를 계산하였다. 전력선 통신 네트워크의 2포트 등가모델 및 기본적인 전송선로 이론을 이용해 입력임피던스를 계산하였다. 그리고 계산된 입력임피던스를 이용해 전력선상 전류를 계산하고 최종적으로 방사전계강도를 계산하였다. 전력선의 특성임피던스가 매우커서 입력 단에서의 반사가 심하기 때문에 입력임피던스는 일정한 주기를 가지는 정재파 형태를 가진다. 계산된 전류 및 방사전계 또한 이러한 형태임을 알 수 있었다. 실제 측정한 결과계산 치와 측정치가 매우 유사함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 전력계통에서 안정적인 전력공급을 하는 고압 가공 배전선로의 사고 발생으로 생활의 불편과 더불어 기업의 생산 차질을 초래하게 된다. 22.9[kV] 고압 가공 배전선은 평소 비, 눈, 바람 등에 의한 피해나 감전방지 등의 신뢰성 및 안정성의 향상을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이에 가공 배전선로의 부식으로 인한 전선의 도전율을 저하시키거나 인장강도가 저하되어 단선 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위하여 평소에 점검과 보수를 통하여 미래의 예기치 못한 사고를 미리 방지하여야 한다. 배전선로의 부식으로 인한 열화진단을 하기 위하여 전선에 진단시스템(계측기)를 설치하여 전선의 상태를 모니터링한다. 측정된 데이터를 ZigBee 무선통신으로 지상의 관리자가 받아 진단시스템 프로그램을 통하여 진단시스템의 제어와 측정된 데이터 및 촬영된 사진을 통하여 가공 배전선로의 상태를 파악하여 육안 검사 방법과 더불어 전선의 수명을 예측하는 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • Ambient Adjusted line Rating(AAR) method for overhead transmission lines considering Risk Tolerance(RT) was proposed in this paper. AAR is suitable for system operators to plan their operation strategy and maintenance schedule because this can be designed as a seasonal line rating. Several candidate transmission lines are chosen to apply the proposed method in the paper. As a result, it is shown that system reliability was significantly enhanced through maximizing transfer capability, solving the system constraints.

  • This paper describes surge characteristics on 345kV combined transmission system mixed overhead line and GIL(Gas Insulated Transmission Line). Then, it is compared with the results of the system mixed overhead line and XLPE power cables. Finally the lightning overvoltages are also discussed according to surge arrester installation in two kinds of combined transmission systems when the lighting strikes on the phase conductor.

  • This paper describes the overvoltage of branch line in underground distribution systems when the direct lightning surge strikes on conductor of overhead line. Distribution systems are very complex because that includes so many branch lines, transformers, switches and so on. Therefor model systems consist of overhead distribution lines, underground cable include branch lines, lightning source and switches. Those are established by EMTP/ATPDraw. Simulation analyzes surge behavior on branch lines considering various conditions in underground distribution systems. Simulation results shoe overvoltage with location in various cases.

  • A program for numerical analysis of induced lightning surge is developed. The program first converts simultaneous differential equations into simultaneous difference equations for line sections without transition points, and calculates the line voltage and current by solving a determinant. It, then, calculates the line voltage and current at transition points by applying kirhhoffs law. This program is potentially useful in a wide range of applications for investigating the effect on distribution lines of lightning protection equipment such as lightning arresters and overhead ground wires.

  • In the electrical railway, for the improvement of a train speed, it is necessary to study not only the dynamic behaviors of overhead catenary system but the fatigue behaviors of components for a safety assurance according to the increase of vibration level. One of the critical components in the system is a dropper. Therefore, the dynamic force acting on a dropper was measured in the Chungbuk Line and analyzed to figure out the dynamic characteristics the dropper. And in order to assure the safety of dropper clamp and cable, we proposed a test facility as well as test method based on the test results For the further study, we will measure the dynamic forces in the conventional line and high-speed line and make up the test condition, so that the safety of dropper clamps can be assured.

  • A subway in Seoul has had a major role of public transportation after the opening of Seoul Subway Line 1 on August 15, 1974 and it has reached 34.7% of the transportation of Seoul citizens. The extended length of the subway system suppled with DC power in Korea is about 500km. In this system, the devices which are proper for regenerative power system are being required because of changeover from old braking and ATS signal system to regenerative braking and ATO signal system. In this paper, we reviewed the safety standards for the insulated hangers in overhead contact line. These hangers which have depended on foreign imports are being developed in Korea considering ease of demand and supply and economic effects.
